Deranged, outrageous, oddball, kitchy, crazy, depraved and essential romance comics from the 1950s and '60s sure to blow your mind and bust your gut with laughter!
Read: "I Joined a Teenage Sex Cult," "Savage Love," "Men Were My Business," "Cracked Up," "Black Marketeer," "Call Me Wicked," "I Married A Maniac," "He Called Me Jail Bait," plus a sordid story of Clown Fetish: "The Love She Didn't Want!" and many more bizarro comics!
Stanislav Robert Pawlowski, known as Bob Powell, is the creator of "Sheena, Queen of the Jungle" and the co-creator, with Wallace Wood, of "Mars Attacks!" the Topps trading card series.
More nuttiness. What amazes me is some of the downer endings the stories have. We have savage jungle love, clowns (of course), gold diggers, and jail bait. But wait kids, there's more!
Plenty of nuttiness here. And the thing is there were literally hundreds, if not thousands of romance comics published from the 50s to the 70s. So. Much. Weirdness.
A fun bathroom reader. There's a silly turn in every tale but the end result for young women is to accept a man and any of his faults whether he's a clown or a killer, but if you do one thing wrong, such as dress older than your age, you should be shunned and labeled WICKED forever!
