Tess Oliver is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Custom Culture series and a large collection of other romances. She is well known for her relatable characters who "become your friends" as you journey with them and for intriguing stories that will have you "devouring her books in just one day". Tess has been featured on USA Today's 'Happy Ever After' site, and in publications including Glamour UK and Elle UK magazines.
Jami sure knows how to boost her man's ego, "I dropped my gaze down to the erection that was nearly bursting out of the briefs. “And I like the way you look in this underwear. I think I could be having the worst damn day in my life, and if you stepped into the room wearing just this pair of briefs, my whole day would turn around.” I really enjoyed this book the men are alphas but they're.really sweet on their women.
Denver from Boston is hot hot hot!! I have loved all of Tess books that I've read thus far and I'm definitely a Gage girl but Denver is right there with Gage!! Holy Moly, I loved this story of Denver & Jami!! My fave of the series by far!!! 5+ stars for me!!
Denver: A Bad Boy Romance (FMX Bros Book 3), by Tess Oliver is the final book in this series and it did not disappoint! I am just disappointed this series is over as I enjoyed it so much. This series is a spin off of the Custom Culture Series and it is well worth reading.
In this book, Denver, after realizing that he may need to move on after his two friends have girlfriends now that are over at the house more often than not, he is feeling like a third wheel, so he moves to an apartment building by the beach and is surprised when he sees a beautiful young woman moving up above him. They both hit it off and soon Denver and Jami Halliday, a famous musician spend all their time together. However, Denver finds out that she is only going to be there for 5 weeks and suddenly realizes he may be falling in love with someone that will walk out of his life.
However, what he does not realize is that Jami feels exactly the same way and can't picture even music being enough for her after she has to go back home. This book was so good and so sad at parts it made me tear up a time or two, not to mention the plot was good and there was a lot of sexual and mental angst in this book.
On top of everything else, someone wants Jami's violin -a priceless heirloom given to her by her grandfather and as big a part of Jami as her own heart! What happens to Jami behind the violin will shock you as much as it did me, and the question of whether she will be able to go on with her life after this incident is anyone's guess!
Do Jami and Denver have a future together? Will Jami realize in time that true love only comes once in a lifetime? Read this book and find out!
I gave this book 5 awesome stars and can't wait for the next book by this awesome writer!
Kindly provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review...........
In my infinite wisdom for 2016, I have decided to bestow Tess with her title as part of the "New Year Honors List"........Most Brilliant Author !!!!. What an AMAZING 3rd book in this series and what a way to see off the end of my year !.
This is Denver and Jami's book. Just their names are almost a prerequisite to their awesomeness !!! I keep thinking each and every one of these hunks of gorgeousness can not get any better.......then they do !!. Denver, Denver, Denver what can I say that can sum you up ?...........He's the full package !!. yup, that sums him up nicely.
Jami...........you were made for Denver......smart, funny, brains and beauty..........again the full package.
Tess, does an incredible job of mixing up a smokin' hot story line, humor and a little bit of grit.
I have worshiped this series and I shed a tiny tear at the end. But what a journey it has been !!!
For ANY-ONE who wants to read a first class story line that is well paced, packed full of steam !! and has you at the edge of your seat waiting for the end to see if it will morph into a HEA or other...... then look no further !!!
5 "FMX Hotties Forever" Stars from me !!
Well done Tess, rock another winning series hun xx. I cannot wait to see what is next !!. No pressure ;0) x
Strangely Normal has a challenger as this might be one of my favorite books by Tess Oliver! Fortunately it still intertwines with that world as Cole is one of Denver's (from Boston) best friends, Finley is mentioned and Nicky King makes his expected appearance at the end of the book.
I laughed out loud several times while reading this. Jami reminded me a lot of Finely as many of Tess Oliver's characters have begun to show hints of her humorous (and often runaway, stream of consciousness) dialogue. My initial impression of Denver (from Boston) was more of a lanky and quiet geeky soul. Oh no. Yes he's thoughtful and brilliant, but he's a dirty talker and all alpha. In fact he might have edged out Cole as my favorite character. Although Rodeo was pretty awesome too...
This book had just the right amount of angst, but in no way made it a heavy book. Instead it was positive, light, fun and hopeful. This is the first of the trilogy where we didn't see anyone from the Custom Culture's Scooby gang. I actually liked that it was solely focused on this trio and gave them more book time and development of the characters and plot. It was perfect. And a tear may or may not have escape. Stupid allergies.
Omg!!! Loved Denver from Boston so freaking much.... I just knew he was going to be so awesome from the other books he's been in as a secondary character...he didn't disappoint me!!! I loved his nerdy self so much!!! His quirky sense of humor was so awesome and I thought Jami was so perfect for him she was great!!! Very self assured and goes for what she wants. Very sad to see the boys of FMX be done but I loved the series and recommend it to all looking for some very steamy scenes, bada$$ men, sweet sexy women and lots of laughs and nail biting!!!
I Was Provided A ARC By The Author (Possible Spoilers)
Denver Mathison, FMX rider has decided to move out of his place with Cole & Rodeo. Being the handyman of his new beach house gives him the opportunity to meet the, spunky, beautiful, amazingly talented Jami Holliday. With her beauty and the magic she makes with her violin, Denver is entranced. And now more than just riding dirt bikes, and working construction fills his days.
Jami Holliday has run from Colorado to California looking for some peace and quite. To play music with her beloved Violin, spend her days on the beach and now some fun with her sexy new neighbor. Being so talented from such a young age, Jami is now looking to have some time to her self, to enjoy not being under her mothers thumb, telling her where to go and what to do.
I loved loved Jami and Denver. Their passion for one another was easy and felt through every interaction. Tall, sexy, quite FMX rider Denver, and the beautiful, sassy, full of talent Jami. These two were perfect for each other. Denver was a great mix of brains and brawn's. He's a loyal a friend and a fierce protector. His love for riding and his friends, his soft and quite side mixed with his alpha ways with Jami, made for a very entertaining male lead. Jami was a fun and sweet heroine. She's growing and learning to be on her on, to stick up for what she wants. When it was her and her Violin she transformed into something beautiful and out of this world. She drew everyone near with the music that flowed from her hands.
The FMX Bros series has been one fun ride. Great characters, new and old, lots of romance and sexiness, some action and suspense, and great friendships. Cole, Rodeo & Denver are book boyfriends you need to get to know!
The last one left single, the overthinker, over analyser. After one late night, he feels like a fifth wheel. Making the decision to get his own place, he could never dream what would move in above him!!
She was taking a break, she had no friends, no life of her own. She wanted to have this break without the interruptions of family. She wanted to live a little.
After the initial attraction they both fall, but where will the road take them. They both have commitments, other duties.
Will love conquer all?
This last in the series book, makes me feel a little sad as no more stories will be told about this set of friends.
Again, love the characters, being brainy and intelligent doesn't mean you are boring, nerdy or uninteresting.
The heat from this pairing WOW, feel the temperature rising!!
Again, the actions is contained to the last minutes and again has the feeling of being rushed to finish the book quickly.
On a whole I did enjoy this whole series, but more could of been made with the action and not trying to cram everything in to the last final bits of each book.
However, that is just my feelings, I am not a writer and have complete admiration for all writers and the stories they write and share with us readers.
I became addicted to Tess Oliver's books with the first book in the Custom Culture series, Freefall. I love how she gives both POV's so we know what both characters are thinking. When I finished the Custom Culture series, I saw that she had a spin-off series, the FMX Bros., and got Cole & Rodeo and devoured both books. I received an ARC (advanced reader copy) of Denver in exchange for an honest review.
Denver (from Boston - hah, love that!) has it all: brains, looks, courage, friends. But he's missing something. He moves out of Cole & Rodeo's place to be on his own. Then he meets his upstairs neighbor and nothing will ever be the same again. Jami Holliday is an exceptional violin player who wants to get away from her controlling mother and stepfather. Then she meets her downstairs neighbor/handyman and the sparks fly. I love how Tess uses both POV's so we know what both characters are thinking (especially the men for me). The storyline was great and made it hard for me to close my ereader to do anything else. This was a great read and I hope with all the positive reviews that Tess Oliver will consider more books about the FMX Bros. and the Custom Culture series, too! I would especially love to know what's happened down the road with Cole & Kensington, Rodeo (Parker) & Saylor, and Denver & Jami!
What a great way to end the year. 2015 is going out with a bang named Denver--not the town, the mega hunk. The first book I read by Tess Oliver was Custom Culture book one, Freefall. I have been falling ever since. Custom Culture is addictive, but it had to end once the guys were all hitched. It was a sad day for me when I read the last words. Tess Oliver worked her magic giving us a spinoff series, FMX Bros. I left Custom Culture on the drag strip and hit the dirt track. Denver is a professional FMX rider on weekends and construction worker during the week. Denver has been living with Cole and Rodeo (book 1 & 2) but it is time to find a place of his own. It is when Denver moves to the coast that life gets interesting. Jami moves in upstairs. From the moment they meet--fireworks, believable fireworks, explosions, tingles, desire. Denver steps up the romance---OMG---the swoon worthy romance. Jami's got game as well. To make the story even better, Denver is Jami's knight in shining armor more than once. Hero Worship. This is one of the best Happily Ever Afters of the year. So many things went right and then I hit the end. Now what do I do???? Oh Yeah, I wait for Tess' next great release.
Denver is the third book in Tess Oliver's FMX series. The book opens with all our favorite characters from the series, Cole and Rodeo are now in relationships and the house is starting to get a little crowded. After a pretty hilarious moment, Denver decides it's time to get a place of his own. He was already feeling like the 5th wheel anyhow. He was ready for a new spot in his life, something near the beach, but he never thought he'd find a new person in his life and certainly not in his heart. Jami Holliday is running from her life. It's been an interesting life but she has always felt like it wasn't her own. She's been controlled by her gift, her mother and step-father, the constant travelling, everything. This is her chance to break out and just be herself. She only gets five weeks but she's going to make each moment count and she's going to start with that sexy new neighbor of hers. Can they have a fling? Can Denver not overthink it with his big sexy brain? Can Jami walk away in five weeks? This is their journey, see where it takes you.
Side note, I love Tess's writing style and how she develops the characters. I always love them all but Denver might just be my favorite character out of every character she has ever written. I love him!
After Cole and Kensie, and Rodeo and Sayler, are matched off Denver (from Boston) decides it's time to get his own place. When he meets his new neighbor, Jami. Her bright sunlight shines on his cloudy day, at the perfect moment. I was worried about Denver (from Boston's) story. He had very small roles I feel like in the last two FMX Bros books. He was an intelligent, seemingly methodical, calculating, may I say even bland almost. I loved the banter about his name and how he was wicked smart. I just wasn't sure how she could pull off Denver's story. But Tess sold me! I may even just be #TeamDenver now.
This book was everything I have come to expect from Tess and her stories. I always leave with a smile on my face. I almost always wonder how she's going to wrap it in a bow for me. She never fails to make me gasp in shock at some point. I love her characters and their fun loving, laid back personalities, and her females because they are doers, they aren't waiting for something to happen they've all decided it's time to do for me, and I love that strength.
This is such a great book! Seriously the BEST book/story in the series. And I really really liked the other 2 books. This is a story of 2 people who are just floating through life, because something or someone is missing. Almost like they are 2 halves of a whole. Neither could really feel or connect with others. Both highly intelligent people. And both having a unique way of thinking about things. Honestly this book needs to be a movie! Such an intriguing story and the writing and the conversations between the couple. It's almost like they live in their own world, and everyone else is just a bystander. Loved the idea of naming Jami's violin. Love the information and knowledge about the smallest of facts in the story. Loved the way all the prior characters are intertwined, including a few new/old characters brought in to just complete this awesome story. So sad to see this series end, but what a way to go out Tess!! Kudos chica!!
I'm just disappointed that I can only leave 5 stars!!!! Tess Oliver is an amazing author and I have yet to read one of her stories that I have not fallen in love with her characters. She writes them them with passion and depth that is not always found with others books I have read. Denver oh WOW!! His story is the one I couldn't wait to read. He is one of my favorite characters. Smart, sexy, daring, and all the Disney princes rolled into one what more could you ask for. Jami is his perfect match. A child prodigy looking to find herself and get away from her family pressures. Denver brings out a part of her she didn't even know was there. She is sexy, intelligence, and humorous she keeps Denver on his toes. Both of this characters are written with humor and heart. I love the dialogue between all these characters I think the reactions to each other is one of the addictive points in her books. I love this series!!!
A beautiful violinist and a genius motocross hottie gives us a sexy night of reading. Denver has got everything: brains, looks, muscles, courage. Jami is looking for a break from her overbearing mother. Taking a five week vacation in California leads her to Denver, the gorgeous down stairs neighbor she can't get enough of. Their relationship is fun, light and loving. Jami is my favorite girlfriend of the series, craving life and independence allows her be forward with Denver and wear the pants a little bit. There is an element of suspense to Jami's story and it is not a big surprise once you start reading. Oliver always manages to give us gorgeous, sensitive and caring meatheads with women in need of a hero. Denver plays the part well and is the perfect match for Jami. As part of Oliver's review team I received a copy for my honest review.
I've really enjoyed this series and I have to say Denver was a great addition.
Denver and Jami were great characters and so very likeable. You couldn't help but fall for them and route for them throughout. The witty dialogue between them often brought a real smile to my lips.
The story was enjoyable and pulled me in from the outset. It was a sweet romance but had a real element of action thrown in to keep us on our toes. I personally would have maybe liked an extended epilogue which maybe had something from all three couples just to round things off.
All in all a great read and a really enjoyable series.
I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this one. I liked both the Hero and the Heroine. Denver was sweet, smart and sexy. Jami was also sweet, cute and just an all around weirdo....which I liked. She would talk a mile a minute and sometimes it was just the weirdest outbursts of information. But then Denver did that too. Just weird movie facts, weird science stuff....just freaking adorable. I did not see the climax/plot coming when it happened. I expected Jami's prize possession to be compromised but what happened to her in the process, I was just not expecting. Overall, I think I liked Denver the best out of the FMX brothers...I just found him much more endearing and I freaking loved it.
Denver and Jami .... Wow let me start off I had no idea Denvers book just came out saw it by chance on Facebook and was like holy crap!!! And bought my copy. To be honest his character was the one character I couldn't wait to read a story about because of his smarts and personality! And I was not disappointed. This book was incredible and Jami was a hoot reading. She had spunk and outgoing and she said anything. Her mom sucked so much but she came around. They were perfect for each other and oh so crazy bout each other ... I loved it so sad that this was the finale it seems like for this group but it was an amazing group.
Absolutely loved this book. Actually this whole series was very enjoyable. Even tho its about FMX racers and their bikes, its easy to follow and explains itself very well. And of course, the book is set mostly off of the track so you dont need an extensive knowledge of bikes or racing to follow them.
Tess Oliver is an amazing writer and without a doubt i'll read anything this woman writes, no matter the genre. Her writing style pulls you in and her characters are so easy to identify with and fall in love with.
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
I fell in love with Denver from book one of the FMX Bros series and couldn't wait to read his story. Denver was not only hot but smart, sexy, sweet and who doesn't love a guy who can flip on bikes??? Jami was just as cute and I absolutely loved them together. Once again with a Tess Oliver book, lots of drama and twists and turns to keep the reader intrigued. The chemistry between them was hot and the connection was strong. Loved the development of their relationship. Being that this is the end of the series, would have liked an epilogue.
What if your upstairs neighbor was a world class violinists?
Denver, a fmx rider decided to leave his Bros and their girlfriends and move out on his own to a fixer upper. As he is getting settled he catches his new upstairs room mate with gorgeous tan legs walking up the stairs to her apartment. The friendship turns into something more but Jami, a violin virtuoso, has only five weeks of freedom before she has to return to the tour. Should they have a fling or will they risk the chance for something more? Different formula for a romance, I like it! Well worth a read
This is book #3 in the FMX series. Denver decides it's time for him to get his on place with Rodeo and Cole having their girlfriends in and out. This leads up to his meeting Jami his new neighbor. I always think Tess can't top the last book but she always does. I love how this series crosses with the strangely normal and Nicky King even makes an appearance. I received this book for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
Denver is the third and final book in the FMX series. I absolutely loved Denver *swoon* and I literally could not put it down. I was completely absorbed into this incredible story that will leave you wanting more of Denver and Jami. The love Denver shows Jami is so hot, steamy and sexy that will leave you panting. I love all the characters from this series and I'm sad it has come to an end. Thank you Tess Oliver for another awesome book!
Last man standing.......but not for long! Denver gets his girl in this, the last of the FMX Bros books. Just a beautiful story......I think Denver is the more sensitive of the guys, although confident......he is the thinker but he jumps in with both feet with Jami, the neighbour from upstairs. The beautiful violinist unexpectedly captures his heart and he finds he doesn't want her to let go.
I loved the FMX Bros series! It was my introduction to Tess Oliver and I have devoured each of the books in this series and also read the Custom Culture series!
Denver and Jami are so sweet together! This is a great love story about two people who are a little different but together they make perfect sense!
The only thing is that I want more from all three boys and the girls they love! Give us more!!!
Ready for some more high flying fun with the FMX Bros series by Tess Oliver! Denver is the smart over thinking and over analyzing one out of the bunch, but he has amazing skills on the bike. But then a sexy woman moves in above him and they fast become not only neighbors but soul mates. Loved the story of Denver and Jami's story!
I received a copy of this book exchange for an honest review. Love Denver and Jami story it has emotional moments but it's worth reading and to see what the future holds for them. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith to see what up a head of the road but don't always have a good outcome and it be worth it in the long run.
well I loved Denver to I knew I would he is just sexy and hot and were he heart on he sleeve and Jami is sweet and loving and understanding to have had the life he has had with a mother like her pushing her to do thing she does not want to do but Jami love to play
great book
just to short and I don't like the way they all ended
