Nostalgia aside, this one is really bad. It manages to mangle one of the most straightforward and quite memorable episodes, and for no good reason. Describing the episode with a bit of flowery language would have been more than enough.
Instead we get a cringy attempt at a Conan-esque description of Lion-O, that almost reads like a line from some Fabio romance, needless changes to Peter Lawrence's script, and pretty mediocre, bored art by Maroto. Maroto should be in peak form during this era, but not only is the style bored and sloppy, even the chosen scenes are uninteresting, while this particular episode had a lot of material to work from.
