This started out great but fizzled. The internal monologues were redundant. Hawke was burned by his former old lady who betrayed him and was killed by the club. He uses women now and doesn’t give them anything in return. Audra is running from her murderous billionaire bf. She hops on Hawks bike And so begins the repetitive thoughts and cycles. Repetitive and redundant to quote The Gilmore girls. Hawk is also not a very sharp mc prez as he lets Audra get kidnapped twice in the last 15-20 percent. Right from under his nose too! Come on big guy use your brain! The first kidnapping she gets shot, the second guy who kidnaps her cuts her and almost beats her to death and then amazeballs we have the third act breakup. The author Is throwing everything she can lay a pen to so that the story keeps moving. Maybe this should have been a novella… or maybe Audra’s character could have been developed. All we know is that she’s a curvy red head who cleaned offices when she was a teen and then she became arm Candy. Woah so insightful. Such depth… another thing is there were no I love yous…. They still didn’t know what they felt for each other at the ending.:: the epilogue shows them happy with baby #2 on the way .. so there’s that..I did enjoy the beginning though and this had true potential it just fizzled and fell flat around the half way mark. I will try another book by this author though…

I liked this book as there's no cheating and Hawk (H) clearly turns away the club whores and wannabe ow. The smexy scenes are hot.

Heroine has 1 TSTL moment when she ran away after seeing Hawk talk to one of her ex-fiance's business partner. At least she didn't get hurt at that time and they had more smexy times after Hawk caught up to her.

I would have preferred that she went away and let Hawk grovel more after Hawk staged a scene with a club whore on his lap and told the h that he didn't want her coz Hawk's afraid of serious relationships? And Hawk wanted to protect Audra from the mc violence. He just said pretty words and looked remorseful as he went after Audra right away after she left the club crying.

So , this has been sitting in my downloads for a little while and I completely forgot about it. Finally decided to read it and it was just ok. Finding a good MC series atm is like finding a needle in a haystack to be honest. The plot here sounded interesting, but wasn't delivered well. There was entirely too much lust and sex, and not enough detail about what was going on. It all fell flat on it's ass. The FMC was just there. She's nothing special. Her personality was nonexistent. I felt nothing for her. If she had ended up getting killed I wouldn't have felt anything. That's completely the author's fault unless her books are putting more spotlight on her MMCs anyway. Hawk was alright. Scorned and not looking for love, but of course Audra was different and making him all kinds of crazy. I couldn't understand why. She felt like a one dimensional cardboard cutout. Sorry. The whole thing was lukewarm at best. And why everyone wanted her and kept kidnapping her like she was some great prize was laughable. She was described as arm candy in the beginning, and stayed that way. Her being an ol lady to an MC president makes zero sense. A little disappointed to be honest. I'll probably read the next two books in this series then venture out to read spoilers to see if her other series are worth buying because they're not free.

I am loving Tory Richards MC books! I don't think they're getting all the good rep they deserve.

Go ahead, read this one as well as Wild Marauders MC : Lynch and Dark Menace MC : Stone, all fans of MC love stories won't be disappointed : alpha males, strong women and hot sex!

Absolutely loved this motorcycle club romance. Pretty much hits all my likes. Almost a perfect read for me. Nothing better than finding a great book and then realizing the author has a crap ton of other books in her arsenal. Woo-hoo! Really good if you love hot over the top alpha males, fiesty heroines, super steamy sex scenes, and fantastic romantic suspense. I absolutely loved the sexual tension. When Hawk and Audra are together he can barely keep his hands off of her. He's controlling and possessive, in a really good way.

I think why I loved this book so much is because the whole time I read this it played in my imagination like a movie. Most books lately just feel like I'm reading a cheesy porn script. Not this one.

Do yourself a favor and start reading this author. I've already ordered 5 more.

Hawk & Audra

New to Tory Richards' books & she did not disappoint. Captured my attention from pg. 1 making me want to read to the end. Great MC novel with romance, kidnapping, torture, intrigue & a HEA. Highly recommend to adults who can handle all the drama & some explicit sex scenes. Head now to book 2 of this series. (Reviewed by Lin)

I LOVED IT!
My only complaint about Tory's MC books is there's not enough. I would LOVE to see each of them become a series. You're killin me Tory! I need more. Hawk is the President of the Phantom Rider's MC and he's got to be the hardest badass alpha male ever. Because of a woman who's name should have been Satan turned his heart to a solid block of ice. He swore he'd never get close to another woman ever and believe me he had it until he met Audra she is a beautiful sassy little spitfire with firey red hair. And even though she has no clue what she's just gotten herself into she definitely holds her own. She's one tough little cookie. I was really surprised to find out who was trying to set up the Dark Knight's MC. The suspense was intense and there's alot of excitement. When Audra gets taken I couldn't have guessed who took her. What she has to endure made me cringe and I had tears running down my face. When Hawk pulls his shit with Six trying to push her away I wanted to throw my Nook across the room. Lol. The chemistry between Hawk and Audra is abso-freakin-lutely over the top. I mean set your crotch on fire Smokin Hot. Lol. The ending was perfect and I loved finding out more about Stone and Rachel for the Dark Menace MC and Lynch and Kat from the Wild Marauders MC. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Hawk started off with a bang. Our sassy female lead, Audra is running from her ex. The powerful man with a dark side wants her dead. Leaving everything she knew behind, she winds up on the road with the Phantom Riders’ MC President, Hawk. A man betrayed, Hawk trusts few, and uses women for relief only. Foreplay, kindness, and empathy aren’t on his agenda; something Aura learns immediately. Despite the clash of personalities the passion that burns between them quickly boils over into earth-shattering sex.

The back and forth continues, and that’s where the book lost me. I personally had a hard time believing sex, and arguing with a violent, cold man would be on my agenda if I were running for my life. Hawk didn't appear very redeemable either. He had no give or softness, at least not soon enough for it to keep me from souring on him. It felt too much like an abusive relationship. Especially since he had all the power, being the one to keep her safe.

I found the way their lives linked very unbelievable and longed for a true connection between them would allow some investment in the relationship unfolding.

I have a low tolerance for Alphas, who don’t show their softer side, so this story was a miss for me. With its face paced plot, sassy female lead, and it’s gritty world it may be a home run for another read

Phantom Riders MC: Hawk is the first book in this series. These are standalone books with no cliffhangers. This is Hawk and Audra's story.

Hawk is the President of the Phantom Riders MC. He is cold and shut off from anything resembling affection and commitment, except for his club. His was burned years ago by a woman and the scars continue to show. He won't ever let another woman in until he comes across a feisty woman who forces her way into his life. He has no choice because she is desperate for protection, he just doesn't know what she is running from.

Audra is running. She left her ex in the dust once she realized the monster that he is. Now she is at the mercy of Hawk and his men to keep her safe. She is afraid of him at first, but she is desperate to stay alive and not let her ex find her. Hawk is a temporary stop for her until she can no longer resist him. Now she wants to stay right where she is.

Audra has a secret and Hawk is determined to find out the truth. He naturally trusts no one, especially women and this little spitfire is no different. Until it comes out why she is running. Now he needs to protect her, but after that he has to let her go. Neither one of them wants to admit their attraction, but eventually their attraction explodes. The only issue...what will happen when he doesn't want her to go?

Overall this was a good story, but I just did not connect with the characters, apart or as a couple. This story had some pretty intense moments of violence, uber alpha males, with intense libidos and sexy time. The secondary characters are good and a few of them will have their own stories coming in the series. There is explicit language, violence and sexual content not suitable for minors so be forewarned before you start reading this book or the series. ⭐⭐⭐

As I have delved into MC romances in the last few months, I am seeing patterns, and this story is no different. What I did like was that the author brought in some tense moments, ow drama (esp. from a deceased ow), and a hero and heroine who were fairly matched.

The hero and heroine being well matched was the most interesting aspect to this story. I have found that these stories require a woman who is outside the club life conform and accept the social structure set up by the men. We then see a woman who has to change aspects of who she is in order to be with her man. Whereas, the man may only give his fidelity, but not have to make entire overhauls and sacrifices regarding his beliefs, etc.

We also get echoes of “mine” (a fated mates/paranormal tool), to excuse some of the male behavior. So, are these authors of MC romances upholding patriarchal ideals? What is the fantasy here?

Some people may scoff at these types of books, but I would argue that they can provoke thought and discussion around cultural and societal beliefs and ideals……and let’s not forget, the female fantasy.

Could use some help

Pheasant blouse instead of peasant blouse, reign instead of rein, a handful of missing words, and some wonky formatting reveal the author didn't avail herself of professional assistance in putting this book out. A whole lot of f-bombs saturate the text, which makes me wonder if a thesaurus would be helpful. Despite the limited vocabulary, over-the-top sex, and a hero who's a jerk, this is a pretty good story. Better editing and formatting would have made it a solid 4-star read.

Has it all, the love interest, the plot as well as the suspense even though it was easy to see who the person was that committed the murder. Was not expecting the other revelation though! A few things wrong, like constantly mentioning that she had no underwear and could not find them in the shop to buy, but she suddenly has a thong on all of a sudden, yeah a small glitch or what ever you wish to call it. How ever this was a great read and i love the ending!

omg this was so good

Talk about suspense, kidnapping, murder, and emotional rollercoaster of a book. The last seven chapters were so page turning I could not put this book down. I wanted to know would Audra die or would Hawk save her. Then Tory throws a wrench in the mix and then the road of this book goes back to a huh and then then the book shifts again it’s an emotional roller coaster of a book but well worth the read!

Unfortunately Yours!

A great new author! Her story pulls you from the beginning and holds you to the end! Unique characters with lots of quirky action, that keeps you guessing and completely misdirected till the end! Full of surprises, twists and turns you would never believe! Lots of action, danger, betrayal, tragedy, yet also hope, faith and finally forgiveness and love! After all love conquers all!

Decent read, but thought the suspense of the last third should have been introduced sooner.
The first two-thirds were spent on the non-relationship between Audra and Hawk, which was kind of juvenile and sex fuelled.
Also, would have lived to know Dane's origin story and to learn what Covacks revenge looked like.

The biker world is a hard one to live with the danger and betrayal of a woman that turned Hawk into a cold man. I loved how the author showed that even with a cold heart Hawk would realize that Audra would be the one to thaw his heart out and learn to trust again.

This was such a raw, sexy, not for the faint hearted, bada$$ story! Hawk is as alpha as they come and I loved how the petite, red headed, sassy Audra brought him to his knees. I definitely recommend this one to all who love MC books.

Brilliant

Front start to finish, I couldn't put this book down. Loved the HAF sex scenes. The only negative was Hawks repetative thoughts about his history with his former woman, but I'd still give it 5 stars.

Phantom Riders MC - Hawk

Absolutely loved Hawks story ❤️❤️❤️ it was a hard gritty look into the biker lifestyle. Hawk was a hard, unfeeling man due to the betrayal of another woman but Audra certainly changed that. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So hot!!!!!

This story is a true MC book. Lots of violence, swearing, and hot sex. Hawk had Mike high defenses to overcome. But love fines away. If I was in trouble, there is no one better than Hawk to come to my aid. Sigh
