The anecdotes are great, the book is not. For one thing, it moves backward in time (i.e. the 1996 election comes before the 1992 election, which comes before the 1988 election; not terribly logical). For another, the chapters had a barely discernible story arc, so that you're left moving from one joke to another. The book is great for a few chuckles, and even better for a couple of hilarious political footnotes, but not a particularly good read.
