In the 1980s, the United States conducted a research program to develop "stealthy" combat aircraft that would be very difficult to pick up on radar, allowing them to perform precision strikes on heavily-protected targets with little chance of being detected. Two such aircraft were the Lockheed "F-117 Stealth Fighter" and the "B-2 Spirit" flying-wing bomber. Both proved valuable military assets. This book provides a history and description of the F-117 and B-2. [revcode_v1.9+ / 08-23]
