What a disaster! And I'm not referring to the titular avalanche, but the author's groan inducing prose.
Avalanche is a slightly misleading title; the novel is a typical 70s "sex & ski" novel concerning itself mostly with the sexual escapades & casual drug use of the poorly constructed ski lodge's guests. While there is an avalanche, the majority of the plot lines are tied up when a faulty propane tank and a cigarette butt are brought together.
