I was really looking forward to reading this book because the Seaside Summers series was the first series I tried from Melissa Foster. It was the one that made me fall in love with her writing in the first place so I was really excited about Parker and Grayson.

Now these two are quite different from one another. Parker is an actress while Grayson is an artist. They’ve been exchanging emails for a year, but their first encounter involves Parker being a grieving mess and Grayson walking in when she’s completely down and under. Again, Foster hits readers with a heady dose of emotion from the get-go, setting the pace for the rest of the book. I like these sweeter, more touching stories from Foster because I feel like they offer something different than your typical Contemporary Romance. Not only do they offer better characterization, but I think it just makes the stories more memorable in my opinion.

I’m starting to become a real fan of the way Foster creates her heroes. They are all very sweet, very sexy, but also very real. They aren’t idols that woman fantasize, but real men that also have flaws. The romance between Parker and Grayson blooms beautifully. I would’ve thought that because of her grief that things would take longer, but because they have a groundwork of communication already from emails, it has already jump-started their relationship to the point where Parker already trusts Grayson. He just has the show her he’s the right guy for him.

I would highly recommend reading Melissa Foster if you like sweet, touching Contemporary Romances. I think meeting her heroes alone is worth it because they are just so delicious, but you also get fantastic writing and incredibly real heroines as well. SEASIDE LOVERS is a must-read for Melissa Foster fans.

5 long distance stars! Sinfully addicting! You know you’re in for a good book when it has Melissa’s name on it!

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, but I can say that after reading this one, I’m going back to book one and starting from the beginning!! I fell in love with the descriptive scenery and the detailed backgrounds and story. Grayson is perfect for a MC, he’s protective, strong, and sweetly sexy!! Parker is everything I want in a female lead!! Grayson and Parker deserve each other and I don’t think I’ve seen a book couple that are more perfect for each other than these two!!

Seriously, this has to be one of my favorite books by Melissa to date, and probably one of my favorites of the summer!!

I've read quite a few books written by Melissa Foster this year and I am in awe of her constant delivery of well constructed plots with entertaining characters and heart-warming themes. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Whenever I see her name on a book I immediately think beautiful, sexy and swoon worthy romance because she has delivered THAT and so much more in all the books I've read. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Seaside Lovers was the chemistry & connection that Parker and Grayson held. It zinged off the pages but it also went deeper than just sex appeal. They connected before coming together in person. And that was very well portrayed in the story. It made their passion a slow burn of anticipation. It made their connection deeper than mere aesthetics.

The journey of Parker and Grayson is not an easy one, but their story is not gut-wrenching in the least. The short version is .. Parker & Grayson have been corresponding via email for quite a while about a project. While communicating they form a connection that goes deep. When it's time to meet in person, tragedy strikes for Parker and she flakes. She retreats into her own world and basically blows Grayson off. I should note this tragedy is HUGE for Parker. But then life happens and their paths cross .... cue, the emotional and heartfelt story of Parker & Grayson :)

Obviously their story goes much deeper than what I have mentioned and when you one-click their story you will find out how deep :) And one-click you should ... because it's sweet and sexy and beautiful and romantic and just plain LOVE! #TRUST

Seaside lovers by Melissa Foster was a great 5 star read.

We meet Grayson and Parker.
Parker has been emailing Grayson about doing the railing in her home. Grayson can’t help but think there may have been a little flirting going on and can’t wait to see Parker.
Parker is an actress and is mourning the loss of a father figure when Grayson finds her drunk on tequila at her home.

At first he misunderstands who she is mourning and jealousy takes over. Once he finds out who the man is he turns into her support system and is determined to be there for her. As things move forward they connect emotionally and physically. Let’s just say it’s very hot and steamy. There are of course a few secrets, what will happen when they are revealed?

I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to catching up on this series. I really enjoy Melissa Foster and always look forward to her books. She really pulls you in with her writing and her characters always have great connections, just like Parker and Grayson. 1-click and get started on this great read now. **5 Christmas Loving Stars**

This is my first Melissa Foster book and I can tell you, it will NOT be my last. I freaking loved this book to the moon and back!!

Parker and Grayson (love that name) have been communicating back and forth for close to a year in a semi-professional manner, both of them digging the other. But when they finally meet in person on a candy and tequila filled night, that professionalism vanishes into the sea air. But with Parker’s acting career in LA, and Grayson’s home on the Cape, can they make love last?

Hot damn, the men I have been reading have been smoking hot and I wanna climb into the book and jump their bones. Grayson is so freaking perfect. He’s Sweet, Sexy, Seductive, and Giving. Parker is a strong independent actress, from a crappy past. I love that she has taken the terrible of her childhood and turned it into something beautiful

And I love Christmas….. I want to still Parkers ficticious dog… and her tequila, and her MnM’s ;)

No matter what series Melissa Foster is writing, you can always count on a great romantic read filled with great characters in search for that HEA. Her stories are always a fun and sexy good time filled with strong emotional and heart-tugging romance.
Actress Parker Collins has been emailing artist Grayson for a while on a project, so they have become friends online. Both are excited to renew their past meeting at a seaside destination in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, but Parker ends up being a no show. When Grayson discovers the sad reason that she didn't show up, he becomes very supportive and a good shoulder to lean on.
You can't help fall for a guy like Grayson. Instead of getting pissed at Parker, he went and got the girl. Parker just lost someone dear to her and was in mourning mode when he shows up. You also feel for Parker because she is well known and she needed to grieve out from under the public eye. Since the two were already online friends, they did know things about each as friends and Grayson was able to help support and just be there for her. It wasn't always easy, but they weathered some storms along the way. Now the story wasn't always sad. They has a sparkling chemistry to add to that friendship and they do fall in love while bringing out the best in each other. On the plus side, you get to see where other other fun characters in previous stories are now with their loves.

My first recommendation would be get some tissues. Not everyone will be effected by what happens in Seaside Lovers, but if you have a sappy personality you might want those bad boys. Anyway, I liked Seaside Lovers. The story is pretty good. If you have read any of Melissa's previous books you would remember Grayson and Parker have been communicating back and forth for something. Nothing romantic, but feels have been developing for sometime. Parker has come back to Wellfleet to gain some closure after the passing of her friend and mentor who passed away, and Grayson happens to find her in a mess.

This is a pretty good story, and it's easy to fall in love with Grayson after all he sticks to her like a bur. However, he does have feeling for Parker. Parker realizes she needs someone like Grayson in her life. I liked how Melissa was able to bring closer and open new exciting doors for Parker. You gotta love those Lacroux boys, because they definitely have big hearts. There big hearts tends to get them in trouble at times.

Overall, I found Seaside Lovers as an enjoyable read. I needed some tissues about half way through the story, so I would be prepared. Parker and Grayson it's easy to see how they fit together. If you are in a mood for a little romance with a happy ending Seaside Lovers might be your read.

Having read many of Melissa Foster's books gave me a point of reference for what I was in for. This was the first in this series and I must say that I enjoyed it. I did not feel lost or confused. Some interaction has me wanting to start from the beginning of this series then work my way back to this one. There are intricate relationships. There was a depth of characters both primary and secondary that makes this read feel like more of a entire world.

Parker's career as an actress leave little room for real down to earth people to be surrounding her. So when the one person in this world she know beyond a shadow of a doubt loves her dies. Her world becomes even smaller and the reality of things makes there presence known. Shutting out the world can only go so far.

Grayson finally has plans to meet the woman he has carried on an online relationship with for the past several month. Only to arrive at planned location and she not show up. Unbeknownst to him she has suffered a set back and her world was no longer level. Confrontation. Time. Togetherness. Passion. All will led them down a road neither may never want to return from .

Another great addition to Melissa Foster's collection of Love in Bloom.

You just know it's going to be a good day when a new Seaside Summers book is released!!! As always right from the beginning Melissa Foster hooks you with her writing.
Parker an actress who is on the right path takes a bit of a stumble when she loses a very close friend. Grief takes over and soon Parker draws back into herself trying to ignore the one man who has starred in her fantasies - Grayson
Grayson doesn't know what or here he went wrong in his budding relationship with Parker, after months and months of long distance communication Parker stands him up, until Grayson takes matters into his own hands and goes after the girl!!!
Grayson seems to be the only one able to pull back the public image layers that Parker has on show, to see the real emotional vulnerable woman that is hidden. This story had it all, and Melissa does what she does best when writing, there is chemistry, heartache and real true love that shines the whole way through this book, granted they have their ups and downs but in the end true love wins out and you get to see how far someone will go for the one they love.
We get to catch up with the rest of the Seaside gang and I loved this from cover to cover, sparks literally fly off the pages with these characters!!
Well worth a read for MF fans and Romance lover's

Another brilliant read I loved Grayson and Parker's story its is so hot, funny, sad, funny the lines Parker comes off with had me giggling like a school girl lol
Grayson isn't anything like I thought he'd be in the other books he is perceived as gruff, argumentative, yes family is still everything to him like all of the Lacroux family, but he is soo loving, caring, thoughtful, supportive with Parker,
So when they finally meet by chance while Parker is grieving for a dear old friend who dies suddenly and she didn't get the chance to say goodbye she holds up in her house in Wellfleet drowning her sorrows when Grayson walks in to measure the stairs for the work he is doing there and sees how the put together Parker Collins America's sweetheart is drunk and covered in chocolate and has a big slobbery dog with her.
Grayson helps Parker go through with what her friend Bert had wanted to reconcile with his brother but it's Parker who more then what she thought, and through this time she meets with Grayson's family she all the seaside friends who love her as well.
Together they become a couple who the universe connects each other by hearts and souls

This was my first time reading anything by Melissa Foster, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this touching story. Melissa Foster has given us a story ,that will draw you in and keep you there from start to finish and then will have you wanting more from this author. This story is about Parker Collins ,who just happens to be a Hollywood actress ,and Grayson who works as a metal fabricator . Parker and Grayson who's been working on a project together and their been in contract with each other through emails for almost a year. There's been attraction between these two for awhile and their were going to explore that attraction up until a tragedy strikes and the lovely Parker goes MIA. But soon Grayson finds beautiful Parker in a drunken state ,and all he wants to do is to help her. But when he's helping her their attraction deepens ,and then Parker's past and future is soon about to crash. Will Parker and Grayson be able to survive this crash ??? Seaside lovers is one steamy ,hot romance story. I could tell you more about this touching story, but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this touching story ,you won't be disappointed.

Parker is an established actress, who got her shot from the kindly Bert, one of the few people who knew her as Polly and one of the few people she considers family. Alone in her foundation's home mourning the loss of her Bert, Grayson finds her drunk, disheveled, and comforting herself when he goes to the home to work on the railings he has been commissioned to complete.

Grayson and Parker have been communicating online regarding his work for a while, and he has grown attached to Parker and their connection. What he is unsure of is whether he is creating their connection or whether there is something real there. Their meeting in her time of turmoil has provided an opportunity for their friendship to grow and develop into much more.

Feeling free with who she is, as both Polly and Parker, Parker enjoys the relationship and friendships that she has developed. It is not until fear combined with an error in judgement, which can be viewed as distrust, throws them in a talespin and tears them apart.

This is a story about how It is a small world with unbelievable connections, making you believe that no matter what situations come your way, you can always find home.

Welcome back to the Seaside Summers series! This series has captured my heart from the very first book, with the colorful characters, beautiful scenery and fun stories. Seaside Lovers is no different - with and adorable heroine (Parker), fun Alpha hero (Grayson), and a fabulous puppy that made you want to reach through the pages and take home with you. I adored Parker and her huge heart, spunky attitude and tenacity to get what she wanted even if she did not know that she had wanted it yet. Getting to follow her on her journey of self-discovery to find her family will leave you with a smile. Grayson is the perfect Alpha hero, with a soft heart and talented hands. I love that he was Parker's soft place to fall even before the two met in real life. I loved the cameo peeks that we got from characters in previous books, almost like we were catching up with old friends. Often when authors are multiple books into a series, the stories can get boring and flat. This is not the case with the Seaside Summer series, as Seaside Lovers kept me flying through the pages as fast as I could. This is easily a one-sit read and perfect for the summer and beach!

Who doesn't love the Lacroux clan? Funny, sexy, warm, caring, level-headed...I could go on and on. I'm so glad Parker deserved Grayson because in the previous book, when she stands Grayson up, I wasn't so sure.

When this book came out I was on vacation in an area that only has Wi-Fi in very limited areas and forget about 4G. I knew I had preordered the next book (I always do once I finish the current book in the wide-spanning Love in Bloom series) so made my family go into town to the local McDonald's where I knew I'd get a signal and be able to upload the book onto my Kindle. That's how much I enjoy this series. I had plenty of other books to read, but didn't want to wait the 6 days until I was back to civilization to read this one.

There are definitely some things that didn't happen that I thought would (hello, doesn't a ritzy apartment elevator have a camera?) and some things that happened that I didn't think would. That's how I like it though. I want the comfort of the familiar with the keep me interested zings thrown in and Melissa Foster always delivers that for me.

I really can never resist Ms. Foster's new releases, and was delighted to get a chance to read Seaside Lovers. Another book which interlinks with numerous other stories and is as rich and passionate as ever.

The story is as old as time, but with an inventive plot, some truly lovely characters, and some very hot and steamy chemistry laden scenes, we are given a new vision of what love can mean. There are some really funny lines, some perfectly cheesy ones, and some which made me cry, but most of all every line wanted me to keep turning the page. We get a very personal story about grief and loneliness, and yet strength and courage, as well as the closeness of a big group of family and friends.

Really all I can say is read it! Oh, and thank you again Ms Foster !

When I got this book Seaside Lovers I was very excited to go back to revisit the Seaside gang. It was another knock out book from Melissa Foster. It was great reading about everyone from Bella and the girls to Sky and Lizzie and Mira, who you will meet more in the next book.
This book is about Parker Collins, who is a famous Hollywood actress and Grayson Lacroux a metal fabricator. These two have been working on a project together and have been emailing each other for almost a year. They have both had this attraction to each other and were going to explore their feelings until a tragedy strikes and Parker goes MIA. When Grayson finds her in a drunken depression all he can think about is trying to help her. In helping her their attraction deepens and her past and future are about to collide. Parker with all her accomplishments and charitable contributions is still a lonely little girl searching for her place in an ever changing world. Loss of a close friend and the pressures of fame leave her feeling overwhelmed and isolated. Maybe that's what drove her quest to end a bitter family rift between her deceased mentor and his estranged brother. Along the way she develops a sense of purpose and gains insight into herself by facing her fears. Grayson played a key role in bringing her out of her shell and opening her eyes to all the possibilities she had turned a blind eye to before. Seaside Lovers shines a light on love, loss and the paradox of life. Passionate, complicated but always illuminating and compassionate.

I love the seaside series. I love Melissa Foster and her brilliant writing. And I friggin loved Grayson & Parker's story!
You do not have to read the previous 6 books but trust me you will love them all as much as I loved them. There's just something about them that you can't help but falling in love with.
The attraction between Grayson & Parker is undeniable and was such a treat to get to read and have their story come to life in my mind. There were plenty of laughs and swoon moments to keep you wanting more. Highly recommend this book!

Another winner from the Seaside Series! I totally fell for Grayson with his caring attitude and his expert seduction. And Christmas the doggie was an additional treat. Parker was an interesting heroine, inwardly strong but a bit conflicted and caught up in tragedies. I'd have liked more insights into her acting life and past, though the glimpses I caught were well written. And I'd have loved more backstory on Grayson as well as a slightly more drawn-out end. But the amazing chemistry, the scenes with the Seaside friends (and their little children), and the scenes with Abe made up for that.

Grayson is just delicious, and then you have Parker and her dog, Christmas. This is a great story featuring loss, friendship, and a passionate love between two lonely souls. There are difficulties to be worked out, some angst, but a beautiful HEA. Another Seaside winner!

The Love in Bloom series proved to be a heartwarming journey through love, family, and personal growth. Spanning multiple interconnected series/stories, it offers a wonderful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that kept me reading the whole way through.
Ms. Foster crafted fully developed, relatable, and multidimensional characters who added an extra element of emotion and interest to my overall reading experience. The heroes are fiercely loyal and endearing, while the heroines are smart, empowered, and refreshingly ‘real’. Each character feels like someone you could know in real life, making their struggles and triumphs, high and lows, all the more impactful.
The stories have a perfect balance of steamy romance mixed with heartfelt moments. But that doesn’t mean that Ms. Foster shies away from exploring deeper themes like forgiveness, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships – adding dynamic layers to the storyline/s. But, despite the emotional depth, the series still maintains more of a lighthearted charm, sprinkled with humor and tender family connections.

„Sehnsucht in Seaside“ von Melissa Foster ist der siebte Band ihrer unterhaltsamen und romantischen Seaside Summers Reihe.
Die bekannte Schauspielerin Parker Collins und der Metallkünstler Grayson Lacroux stehen wegen eines aktuellen Projekts bereits seit Monaten in engem Mailkontakt und wollten sich eigentlich vor zwei Wochen persönlich in Wellfleet treffen. Doch Parker taucht nicht auf und hat sich auch nicht mehr gemeldet, so dass Grayson davon ausgehen muss, dass er sich die knisternde Chemie zwischen ihnen nur eingebildet hat. Nur zufällig trifft er sie doch in ihrem Haus an, wo sich Parker in tiefster Trauer um ihren besten Freund und Mentor zwischen Süßigkeiten und Alkohol versteckt hat. Selbst am absoluten Tiefpunkt ist Parker für Grayson immer noch die schönste Frau der Welt und sein Beschützerinstinkt springt sofort an.

Es geht zurück ans Cape Cod, wo einen auf Anhieb die sommerlichen Vibes einholen und man das Meeresrauschen beim Lesen förmlich hören kann. Melissa Foster erzählt die Geschichte von Grayson und Parker weiter, deren Funken man schon im Vorgängerband beobachten konnte. Doch was so hoffnungsvoll begann, droht bereits im Keim zu ersticken, denn das Leben grätscht dem Happy End kräftig dazwischen.
Grayson ist genau wie seine zahlreichen Geschwister einer von den Guten, der sein Herz aber nicht leichtfertig verschenkt. Bei Parkers Anblick will er es aber am liebsten gleich in einen Geschenkkarton packen, aber zuerst muss er ihr auf ihrer ganz eigenen schwierigen Mission helfen.
Parker ist eigentlich glücklich in ihrem anstrengenden Job, der jedoch in Wahrheit nur von ihrer Einsamkeit ablenken soll. Bert war ihre einzige Vertrauens- und Bezugsperson und nun ist Parker fast völlig allein auf dieser Welt. Mit Hilfe von Grayson und seiner warmherzigen Familie findet sie Schritt für Schritt zurück ins Leben, welches plötzlich unerwartete Möglichkeiten bietet.
Melissa Foster packt wieder jede Menge Emotionen und berührende Momente in diese zauberhafte Lovestory, in der sich Trauer und Hoffnung abwechseln. Beide Hauptfiguren erobern schnell die Herzen, auch wenn sie manchmal falsche Entscheidungen treffen. Dafür ist es umso spannender ihren Weg zu begleiten, der sich auf jeden Fall lohnt.

Von mir gibt es sehr gern eine Leseempfehlung!

Endlich wieder auf Cape Cod, wo uns eine unglaubliche Frauengemeinschaft erwartet, die voller Rückhalt und unglaublichen Methoden zur Seite zu stehen.

Nach Seanna, hat auch Bella und Jenna als auch Jamie, Amy, Sky ihr Glück gefunden. Diesmal ist eine gute Freundin von Sky, Jena, die ihr Leben voller Freiheit lebt und doch mit ihren vielen Jobs sich eingeengt fühlt.

Hunter und Sie sind wie Hund und Katze, doch eins haben sie gemeinsam. Seit Monaten können sie die Finger nicht voneinander lassen.
Endet alles in einem Chaos, streitsüchtigen und aufhetzenden Momenten oder siegt am Ende der Kampf um Jena, die Romantik und die aufkeimenden Emotionen?

Es beginnt eine Geschichte voller beeindruckender, hitziger Auseinandersetzungen, Zwiespalt, einer Leidenschaft, Romantik, Sehnsüchte als auch einer unglaublichen Verbindung zwischen zwei Menschen, die zusammen perfekt für einander scheinen. Jedoch auch so viele Ängste in sich verbergen.

Das Werk zieht in eine gefühlvolle und emotionsgeladene Geschichte, die vor zwei sehr erstaunlichen Persönlichkeiten, charismatisch aber auch starrsinnig in ihren Bann ziehen.

Ich habe das Buch in einem Rutsch gelesen, habe mich über die wundervollen Facetten, der unglaublichen Anziehung, leidenschaftlichen Aufeinandertreffen und entfachten Liebe zueinander, aber auch der Verletzlichkeit, den Sehnsüchten zu entzücken als auch beflügeln lassen.

Ein bittersüßes Werk, das die Autorin dem Leser bietet. Es nimmt auf eine emotionale als auch herzzerreißende Reise mit, die einnimmt und berührt.

Was natürlich am Schreibstil der Autorin lag, Melissa schafft es einen sofort zu fesseln, ihr bildlicher und emotionaler Schreibstil ist mitreißend, locker, leicht, sondern auch emotionell und einnehmend zugleich.

Die Autorin schafft eine emotionale Welt, in die man ohne das herrliche Happy End verlassen will, sodass man den emotionsgeladenen Verlauf an Jena und Hunters Geschichte teilnehmen lässt.

Als Sahnehäubchen bekommt man das gegenwärtige Glück der vorherigen Paare geboten, sowie auch natürlich die Intensität der Freundschaften der Frauen, ihre nackte Wahrheit und verrückten Scherze.

Ich bleibe daher zutiefst begeistert, entzückt und gut unterhalten, mit Sehnsucht nach mehr aus der Feder von der Autorin zurück.

In " Sehnsucht in Seaside (Seaside Summers 7) " haben die Schauspielerin Parker und der Metalkünstler Grayson monatelang regen Emailverkehr, bei dem beide sich gefühlt näher kommen. Doch plötzlich herrscht von Parkers Seite aus Funkstille.
Grayson hatte durch das stetige mailen mit Parker Gefühle für diese entwickelt und wusste mit der plötzlichen Ende nicht umzugehen. Konnte er sich so in ihr geirrt haben?
Doch als Grayson per Zufall hinter dem abrupten Abruch ihres Kontaktes kommt, kann er gar nicht anders, als Parker aufzufangen.
Denn Parker trauert um den wichtigsten Menschen in ihrem Leben und möchte ein Zerwürfnis mit dessen zerstrittenen Bruder kitten. Dies ist mit ein Grund, das sie mit ihrem Hund Christmas am Cape in Wellfleet ist, der andere ist das sie sich ganz aus der Öffentlichkeit zurückziehen wollte, um in Ruhe über ihren Verlust hinweg zu kommen.
Das Parker dabei auf Grayson trifft und dieser nicht mehr von ihrer Seite weicht, hatte sie nicht ahnen können. Erst recht nicht, dass die Gefühle zwischen ihnen stärker sind, als zunächst gedacht.
Wird es Grayson gelingen Parker aus der Trauer herauszuholen und ihr gleichzeitig alle Freiheiten, die ihr Leben mit sich bringen zu lassen? Und was kann aus ihrer gegenseitigen Zuneigung werden, da ihre Lebensmittelpunkte weit entfernt auseinander liegen?
Natürlich treffen wir auch wieder auf die Seaside Summers Freundinnen nebst deren Familien aus dn vorigen Bänden.
Die Story hat mich gleich wieder mit nach Cape Cod genommen, dabei bleibt sie abwechslungsreich sowie spannungsgeladen. Man darf mit Parker und Grayson mitfiebern und die verschiedesten Emotionen erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende wie auch tragische Momente und das ein oder andere Tränchen zu vergießen.
Ich konnte das Buch nicht mehr aus der Hand legen, da ich erfahren wollte, ob und wie es für beide ein Happy End gab.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.

I've been burning through the Love in Bloom Series for a couple of months now, and the Seaside Summers series has been my favorite with those zany Seaside girls, whose numbers keep growing. This is the first book in the series I was disappointed with and I'm very certain its a guy thing. It seems like every romance author I've read has a story about an A-List actress who falls for an "Everyman Hero" and all the complications of a relationship when the average guy gets involved with a superstar and the media circus that follows her. Not that Grayson is an average guy. He's a highly respected and successful artist in his own right.
I'm sure for you ladies Grayson is a panty melting hero you can swoon over. But as a guy I've always enjoyed the ladies of the series and I have a problem with Parker. Oh she's sweet and kind and sexy and all that but where in this story did she put forth any real effort in the relationship? Grayson spends the entire story adoring, supporting her and catering to her emotional needs. What did Parker give up or change to accommodate him? And her melt down after all he'd done to support her because he went behind her back to have her DNA tested for the best of intentions was over the top. As was his guilt for having done it. Really, what was wrong with his original plan? If it turns out she isn't who he thought she was you don't tell her and there's no harm done. If it turns out she is, everybody is happy. Why was he so fraught with guilt about it? He should have stuck with his original plan. And although her meeting with Luce before her screen test made for some enjoyable moments why would "America's Sweetheart" need to take a screen test for a part in a romantic comedy? Seems like the producers and director would be begging her to star in their film. All of these factors coming together at the end of the story just left me a tad disappointed.

Sinnlich und Bewegend
Hier sind sie wieder die Freunde in ihren Ferienhäusern am Cape Cod. Für mich ist es fast schon wie nach Hause kommen, habe alle bisherigen Bände gelesen.

Parker hat ihren engsten väterlichen Freund Bern Stein verloren. Mit ihrem Hund “Christmas”, Tequila und jede Menge Fast Food versucht sie einen Plan zu finden, wie sie Kontakt zu Bern`s verbittertem Bruder aufnehmen kann. Ihr Wunsch ist es das zu beenden, was Bern zu Lebzeiten nicht geschafft hat.
Grayson, der Künstler, hatte monatelang mit Parker aus der Ferne kommuniziert und sich dabei ein wenig in sie verliebt. Im Künstlerstädtchen Wellfleet wollten sie sich treffen. Als sie jedoch nicht auftaucht und auch keine Kommunikation mehr stattfand, fragte er sich, ob das alles eine Einbildung war und doch nicht auf Gegenseitigkeit beruht. Allerdings dauert es nicht lange bis er sie wiedersieht.

Beide Charaktere sind sehr gut dargestellt, man versteht ihre Handlungen, Gedankengänge und auch ihre Gefühle. Ihre Anziehung ist greifbar, die Emotionen spürbar. Der Autorin ist es gelungen hier feinfühlig die Trauerbewältigung mit all ihren Nebenwirkungen darzustellen.
Der Schreibstil flüssig und lässt keine Fragen offen, die Seiten fliegen nur so dahin.
Ganz besonders hat mir hier wieder einmal der Humor gefallen. Fließt er doch hier immer wieder mit ein. Das Band der Freunde und Familie ist hier das Besondere.

War hier wie gefesselt, hab geschmunzelt, gelacht und ja ein paar Tränen sind auch geflossen. Genauso sollte eine gute Story sein.

Fazit: Story mit vielen Emotionen und Tiefgang. Bewegende Lesestunden garantiert. Klare Leseempfehlung von mir.

Parker & Grayson


I listened to the audiobook of Seaside Lovers by Melissa Foster and narrated by BJ Harrison.

Parker Collins is a famous actress taking a much needed break after losing someone very dear to her, her mentor and the closest thing to family she had, Bert Stein. Hiding away in Wellfleet, MA, where she feels free to grieve in solitude with no one but her dog, Christmas.

Grayson Lacroux is the artist who has been corresponding with Parker while working on her project for the past year. They separately fell for each other over months of communications, planning to meet, but Parker didn’t show. Then by accident he happens upon her in her hour of desperate grief and what a mess she is, surrounded by junk food, chocolate and tequila.

So begins their journey together. Grayson stands by her side, helping her carry out a promise she made to herself to meet Bert’s estranged brother, for his sake and oddly enough, for her own as well. I especially enjoyed the meetings between the three different people and what each walked away with after.

Grayson and Parker’s chemistry was immediate, but I loved how Grayson wanted to know everything about the woman who captured his heart. As pasts are revealed and secrets exposed, their new love is threatened.

Once again Melissa Foster takes us on an adventure toward HEA. These two characters are up there with my other favorites.

This book is a beautiful love story woven with loss, new beginnings and of course genuine love.

B.J. Harrison does his usual wonderful job of breathing life into these complex characters with real-life issues.

Sehnsucht in Seaside" ist wieder ein superschönes Buch von Melissa Forster, das einen zum Dahinschmelzen bringt. Diesmal dreht sich die Geschichte um Parker und Grayson aus der Seaside-Clique. Der Tod ihres Mentors Bert Stein hat Parker tief getroffen, und sie versucht, darüber hinwegzukommen - ganz allein, nur mit ihrem Hund und einer Menge ungesundem Essen und Alkohol. Denn nur weitab der Öffentlichkeit kann Parker sie selbst sein, ihre Schwächen zeigen und einfach nur Polly sein. Deshalb läuft ihr Leben im Moment nur auf Autopilot, und genau in dieser Zeit platzt der verführerische Künstler Grayson Lacroux in ihr Leben und bringt es durcheinander. Grayson bietet ihr an, ihren ursprünglichen Plan, den entfremdeten Bruder des verstorbenen Bert Stein gemeinsam aufzusuchen, umzusetzen, der sich als missgelaunten, griesgrämigen alten kranken Mann entpuppt. Die Anziehungskraft zwischen den beiden war von Anfang an präsent, und Grayson verliebt sich sofort in sie und möchte, dass es ihr gut geht und übernimmt den Beschützermodus. Parker wird auch sofort in die Seaside-Clique aufgenommen; ihnen ist es egal, ob sie nun eine berühmte Schauspielerin ist oder nicht - hier darf sie einfach nur Parker sein und sonst nichts. In der Geschichte wird deutlich, dass es nicht nur ein Buch zum Verlieben ist, sondern dass die Geschichte es schafft, sowohl ernst als auch witzig zu sein. Mich hat die Geschichte echt berührt, und ich habe mit den beiden mitgefühlt und mitgelitten. Es war eine Geschichte, wie sie Melissa Forster typischerweise zaubert: zum Dahinschmelzen schön. Ich freue mich schon auf die nächste Geschichte.

"Sehnsucht in Seaside" ist schon der siebte Teil der "Seaside Summer" Reihe. Jeder Teil kann vollkommen unabhängig voneinander gelesen werden. Jede Geschichte ist abgeschlossen. Da es sich hier aber um Familie und eine ganz tolle Clique handelt, gibt es immer ein Wiedersehen.



Die Autorin gehört wirklich zu den wenigen von der ich gar nicht genug bekommen kann. Nach dem Buch ist vor dem Buch und ich freue mich über jedes Einzelne davon. Diese Reihe ist eine der Ersten die ich von Anfang an begleiten durfte und ich liebe sie alle so sehr. Grayson durfte ich ja schon ein wenig kennenlernen und auch Parker hatte schon einen kurzen Auftritt. Ich habe mich sehr darüber gefreut jetzt auch ihre Geschichte zu lesen.



Ich habe mit dem Buch abends, als Betthupferl sozusagen, angefangen zu lesen und war ab der ersten Sekunde, anders hatte ich es aber auch nicht erwartet, an das Buch gefesselt. Ich konnte es kaum wieder aus der Hand legen. 1/3 habe ich an dem Abend noch geschafft, den Rest habe ich am nächsten Tag nachgeholt. Ich warte jetzt schon sehnsüchtig darauf nach Seaside zurückkehren zu dürfen.



Der Schreibstil ist wieder wie ich ihn kenne und so sehr liebe, einfach wundervoll. Er ist flüssig, zu Herzen gehend und so mitreißend. Wer die Autorin noch nicht kennt, hat definitiv etwas verpasst. Dankeschön das ich es lesen durfte.



Nachdem Grayson den Wettbewerb gewonnen hat, steht er monatelang in Kontakt mit Parker. Nachdem er jetzt wochenlang auf eine Nachricht gewartet hat, fährt er zu ihrem Haus um mit dem Auftrag schon anzufangen. Doch Parker ist Zuhause. Sie ist in Trauer um ihren langjährigen Freund und Mentor. Die Anziehung zwischen den Beiden ist von Anfang an spürbar, schafft es Grayson ihr zu helfen und aus ihrer Trauer herauszuholen??

This is another delightful Melissa Foster read. It has a famous actress character, but Ms. Foster is one of the few authors that doesn't lose me immediately because of that. She is so good at putting the focus on their emotions and what is going on in other parts of their lives!
Parker, the actress, has just lost a loved one and has retreated to lick her wounds in private, when Grayson shows up. She has hired him to do some work on her house and over the months of emails, they have become quite intrigued with each other. Grayson is the supportive, understanding type of guy that everyone wants. It doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous, either. He even fall in love with Parker's dog!
There's a certain amount of mystery (maybe the unknown is a better term) in the story. It's not intrigue or suspense, but just Parker and Grayson trying to figure some stuff out from things Parker was left when her friend(s) died. There's also the right amount of romance and sex that is found in every Melissa Foster book. The couples she writes are always just so darn cute together! She writes what we all want to find if we haven't already. (Long sigh..........).
