I enjoyed reading about the author's struggles, particularly those that relate to her inner child, as I find myself fighting similar battles even in adulthood.

The book could've used better editing but some leeway has to be granted, as the author is Dutch and lives in France. Some parts were hard to wade through because of disorganization of thoughts and uncommon syntax but I generally liked reading the book.

Like a light in the dark

This short book is full of so many "aha!" moments, things I already knew but hadn't yet fully absorbed. The way Laura wrote this book is amazing because it seemed that every part needed to be right where it was in order to string it all together. She also was super quick in responding to my email requesting the extra resource (that is very awesome and super valuable!) I can't wait to start answering the questions in it and getting to know myself even more!

Starts strong but peeters off. Loads of spelling mistakes.

Started well but then got a bit garbled in its descriptions and observations.
Lacked examples to back up theory.
Ridiculous amount of spelling mistakes.

Must Read

This book touch on relationships, jobs, finances, friends, insecurities etc. Step by step strategies how to gain clarity and solve problems without blaming yourself but showing compassion instead. It teaches you to be passionate in whatever you do which will prove that you are practicing self love, self respect and a feeling of joy. Interacting with yourself was also new to me. New in the terms of not knowing I was interacting with myself when I treat myself fairly. When you are aware of your interaction it helps you to exercise balance. For example if you workout religiously but not getting enough sleep because too much time being spent on another interaction with self it allows you to balance to feel self love, self respect and a sense of joy. When you are mean or negative towards your job, relationships, friends, hobbies , life etc it proves that you do not respect yourself, love your self nor have no joy in your life because...ok ok I’ll stop here. Go read this book, you won’t regret it.

This is an insightful book which explores the real causes of being stuck in attitudes, situations and relationships and how to connect with yourself to get unstuck. We need only realize that everything is connected and how we treat ourselves is how we treat everything – love, relationships and exchanges (giving and receiving). We need to love and respect ourselves and treat ourselves well to be able to flow through life smoothly. Our inner foundation needs to be built on a decision to take action, faith that we can do what we must, a commitment to take the steps needed, and the expectation of a positive result. If we understand that everything is an exchange of energy and that the outcome is either in harmony with our highest self or it isn’t, we can move forward with clarity. This book is full of excellent tools and action steps to master getting unstuck for good. A quick read and one of great depth. Highly recommended

Get Unstuck Now: How Smart People … [Kindle Unlimited] — Laura van den berg Sekac (Preface + Introduction + 4 parts/12 titled chapters) Nov. 14-20, 2019

This was kind of a tough book for me. For some reason, it left me in a worse place than I began in. Some of this might be due to things I am working through when I was reading these tips.

However, I will say, I did like the first half of the book and think many others would find tips in here that would help too. (And some of these tips are things I already do!)

In the end, there really wasn’t any very memorable ideas. Again, I do think that’s because I have nearly beat a poor dead horse on this subject (no disrespect for the dead horse, which was dead when I found them.)

Three stars.

Not quite what I was after

I really wanted to like this book, but I finished it with not too much more clarity than I finished the first chapter with. In essence it’s about staying true to yourself and living in real integrity. It felt disjointed and finger waggly in places. And I felt it could do with a really good editor. But also, when the author took you thru her story and one of her ‘darkest’ moments with her father, I was like Seriously? That’s it? Thats what’s held you back? And suddenly I understood why this book hadn’t resonated with me at all - there wasn’t enough tough, real lived experience in there to provide any real meaningful guidance. In the end, it was just waaaaay too much unfounded navel gazing.

Not what I expected

I really bought this book because of the price, heard of it before and I am a little into self-help books. I thought to myself, I am not stuck but let me give it a try. This had me into some self reflection and self realization I did not expect. Key take always for me are:
1. How you treat yourself, you treat everything else
2. Everything in life is an exchange so only make decisions on that are loving, joyful and respectful to yourself and that in turn will be LJR to others as well
Thank you Laura

Not your usual unstuck book

I really enjoyed this short read because it made you look within. Usually when I read books about getting unstuck its how to use project management systems, but this particular book was deeper than that. If you answer the questions and try the exercises it really helps you see the root of your problem and DECIDE whether or not you want to change that. I will be rereading this book again and I have already shared it with others.

Finally a self help book that resonates with me!

I gave it 4 stars because after reading it from cover to cover, I am even more excited to go back to the beginning and DO what the author suggests and start transforming my life. I will update my rating as I practice this discipline.

Nice book

Eventhough it is nothing new, I found it interesting and nice to read. Simple and very easy to understand. I have read many books on self help, that's why it is nothing new to me but I really recommend it for someone looking for some self help book and don't know where to start.

Short, affirmative, practical guidance

A solid guide to getting unstuck, with insights that I found genuinely useful. I only wish the author thought enough of herself, her ideas and her readers to have gotten someone capable to proofread her text. The mistypes, repeated punctuation, and missing words were legion. Otherwise a worthwhile read.

Extremely thought provoking book

Very practical and useful information that can be applied to your life immediately. Answered many questions I had accumulated over the years. Addressed issues we encounter on a day-to-day basis and provided remedies to resolve these issues once and for all.

I enjoyed this little book. The author shared some beautiful ideas about learning to love yourself, and how that is the beginning of moving forward. The organization was a bit hard to follow in places, and there were some editing problems, but insightful message. Glad I read it.

I like self help books but couldn't finish this one... it was too generic and recapped itself too much. It felt too wordy for what she was trying to say, and even without finishing the book I feel like I lost time I could have been reading something more substantial.
