Since releasing her first romance book in 2012, Lucia Jordan has done more than just write stories. She has helped define a genre. As a pioneer of the digital romance revolution, Lucia has penned hundreds of sizzling titles, delighted millions of readers, and earned thousands of five-star reviews. Her ability to blend emotional depth with uninhibited passion has made her a household name, with her hit novel Rock Hard earning a coveted nod as the #1 must-read erotic novel by Women's Health magazine.
But Lucia’s passion extends beyond the page. As the creative force and founding author behind Wild Hearts Romance, she is a champion for the indie community, dedicated to lifting up new voices in a genre she calls powerful, valid, and necessary. She writes for the dreamers and the risk-takers to craft stories that leave nothing to the imagination and remind us all that everyone deserves a happily-ever-after.
When she isn’t fantasizing about her next spicy scene or advocating for fellow writers, Lucia can be found in her sanctuary, a cozy garden gazebo in the Pacific Northwest. It is here that she retreats with her literary trio of cats, Ursula, Colette, and Daphne, to let her imagination wander. With a cup of tea in hand, she dreams up the sizzling plotlines and unforgettable adventures that have made her a bestseller.
This is the first book I read for Lucia Jordan who writes lots of short stories in the erotica genre. This was surprisingly entertaining. The erotica part was just one scene but the whole story had mystery surrounding it. Both characters have a history of hardship, they both also have more to them than what this book tells us. I believe in the second book we will know more about them.
The story ends with a cliff hanger, I know not many will like that, but for me, this was fine because I think the story was written well and was fast paced which compensated that shortcoming if it is considered one.
I'd like to continue reading this series but there is a problem! The author has so many books and both Goodreads and Amazon are not showing what is the second book or the other books in this series!
This format never seems to get old in this genre. Two cardboard characters thrown together in unlikely scenarios. Within hours they're in the bedroom and then the curtain falls at the end of Act One. Buy the second instalment to learn what happens next if you want to prolong the agony. The female car thief was so dim that she accepted a job despite having reservations about how the offer arrived. Then she approached the luxury motor in an underground garage despite everything screaming to her that it was too easy. When Max called her Ms Evans the following morning it took forever for her to realise he shouldn't know her name. Cardboard characters and a see-through plot is all you get I'm afraid.
This is a completely new genre to me and maybe I was expecting too much out of it but I have to state some things that really upset me about this book:
1 - The character and story development. I felt that the characters had too little development in their story and everything happened too fast (suddenly the strong female character started being submissive and attracted to Mr. All powerful and everything they would do/talk was resumed to a domination game). 2 - The dialogues. Honestly, they felt too vague and sometimes confusing (if a bit funny). Mainly when she's stealing the guy's car, the reader could clearly notice dialogues that had double meaning (Who says "Do what you have to do" to a random guy that's holding your arm once he notices you stealing his car?) 3 - Their romance. I really didn't feel like there was much development on this part as well... He suddenly looks at her (close to the end of the book) and the reader is reminded that she´s been working for him over 3 days now and that out of the blue he´s been dreaming and desiring her.
I understand that is difficult to fulfill all the things listed above in an erotica book that´s 36 pages long(that´s why I'm giving it 2 stars). The end really made me curious about their connection but the story itself is rather insipid...

The story itself was sort of interesting but there was times where I would be lost or confused. The erotica is good, the characters have more in depth than what I anticipated which is good, I like to know more about a characters overall trait, bio, and history. There was a few spelling mistakes but I managed to pass them over due to characters that I was more invested in getting to know.
This was pretty good! There’s obviously not much plot to it since it’s only around 40 pages but there is a bit. It’s also part of a series so I’m sure there’s more plot later. I wish this series was on kindle unlimited. Honestly, it wasn’t good enough for me to buy the rest of the series so I will not be finishing it.
The description of Max was nothing less than phenomenal! It made you want to definitely find him to look for employment. Jace doesn't have any idea what she is up against. Now the real question is who hired Max to hire Jace?
I was really enjoying it til the last part. Like why such a weird plot change. 1) Why did he want to pay her to lift his car just to get her to work for him 2) How did she not recognize his voice from the phone call

This is the first book in a short serial about a down on her luck girl who does what she needs to, to keep feed and safe. She meets a wealthy businessman while trying to boost his car. Was it a setup, why was he after her and what is really going on? "A gasp lodged in her throat and her eyes grew wide when she met the steely gray gaze of the sexiest man she'd ever seen in her life." "The images that flashed through her head were far more intense and sexual than she was sure he was meaning." This certainly ended too quickly, this reader needs more of Max and Jace.
Haha dangly parts! Sorry that's just really all I have to say. Very short book, not that well written, and, though I don't believe the story us really that big (haha) of a factor, hard (haha) to really see happening. Totally did bring out my inner hormonal teenage boy giggles though!
Jace has a history in crime. Even though she has a honest job, she takes side jobs to make quick money. She meets Max when she tries to steal his car. Instead of turning Jace over to the cops, he offers her a second chance by taking a job with him. One day while working, Jace comes across a file that Max has on her. Jace feels betrayed especially when he admits he hired her to steal his car. I'm left wondering what else can happen, who was Max's savior, and what's his story.
Poor Jace, steals cars and as she is leaving to do a job., her phone rings with a better offer. Max catches her stealing his car and makes her pay by working for him. After a while things get really hot in the bedroom. But there are secrets. You have to read to find out what they are.
Very good start to what should be a wonderful series, Lucia Jordan don't play, she is a force to be reckoned with.
This book had me very entertained, was a bit intrigued at first with Max’s reaction to finding Jace stealing his car and was left wanting to find out more at the end of the book hence the truth was revealed. Now my question is did someone hire Max to help Jace or has Max been stalking Jace for sometime now. The spicy scene was short but putting it at the end and then the plot twist after tied the story very well with a great cliff hanger.
You immediately drawn in to the allure of danger. Then you awaken to this sexy and powerful man who exudes wealth and he is changing the life of a woman whose on a path of destruction. I can't wait to see how their attraction will survive this hurdle now she knows he set her up. Great read.
Ok so besides that hot cover the story had me patiently waiting for these two to get down to business if you know what I mean. And the fact that he is some how behind what is going on has me waiting for the next book.
This is another different story. And fascinates me. Face, young and just wants out. He is up to something but what is the question. Ahhh but the best part, the cover. Mmmmm.
Just your typical raunchy erotic romance. Jace has a side job as a professional car thief. She is offered a job with a six digit payout. With that money she can pay off her debts and move somewhere nice. A clean start.
