Alien King's Bride

Rate this book
Emma Dyson is convinced she has the worst dating life in history. All the guys she meets seem to lack basic manners, or they have grooming habits straight out of the stone age. It's enough to make any young woman give up and move to Antarctica, but then her friend tells her about another option.

The Starry Eyes Agency specializes in finding mail order brides and grooms from Earth for lonely aliens. Maybe that's the solution to curvy Emma's problem? When the agency finds a super hot alien warrior for her, one who is a king of a huge empire in the stars and desperately needs a queen to help him create heirs to his throne, it seems that her dating troubles are over.

But there's a catch or two: The young King Taki'on of the Voril doesn't know she's coming. And he has never seen a woman before in his life...

Alien King's Bride is a science-fiction BBW/alien romance with hot warriors, steamy scenes and a happy ending.

2 Stars...
Short story that didn't work for me.
Blurbyyy
Emy Dyson has bad luck with men and decides to turn to an agency that gets you alien goods. You know the drill... Anywho she applies and BOOM! She teleports to a planet to meet her warrior alien.
By the way, these aliens haven't seen or talked to a female in a long time... The Alien King is her intended but he wishes to fight and win a woman, rather than have her delivered. Thus the dilemma begins...
description

The cover is lovely, the premise is decent bait and the heroine is introduced as a promising strong character.
The story moves fast but the characters go slow. Its confusing cause it tries to be a slow burner to be miserably burned once and rather lamely. No relationship development and the chemistry none existent. Sure the hero is hot but our heroine sees no further than his looks. Not because she's shallow, but because the alien King ignores her like 80% of the book. Gets laid at 90% and fall for each other in midst of an action packed scene with obvious forced evil guy. Suddenly they love each other...
description
Writing and dialogues are a disaster. Cardboard and stiff... Just not good!
There is no romance. No erotica. No real story... No real interest except physical and not even that paid off.
I don't mind a reluctant hero who plays hard to get, or isn't insta interested in the protagonist. Cause sometimes that happens and its ok! Kind of refreshing from the insta love/destined mates... What I do mind is the lack of sparks to justify his change of heart and insta love in the ending...
World building is mild and acceptable for something so short.
No forcing the girl to stay or mate, which was refreshing as well. But it failed to compel me in any way.
The whole thing is less believable than this scene...
description
MMM... Maybe same level...

Points to take in account:
Alien looks like humans.
Sex... 1 round ladies and gents!
Non-con sex none existent.
Not Alpha alien.

Fast read... Not recommended!

This lady seems like an “ugly American”. She travels to another planet where they have never seen a female before. She is told ahead of time they are warriors and speak “directly”. And once she arrives all she can do is complain about how they are rude. She tells the king to his face that democracy is better (who is rude now?!). If I was trapped on a planet with 1000s of soldiers who have never seen a female I would be nicer! And more understanding. But hey, I am a citizen of the world. I have actually been around the world. I know how to respect people who are different and believe differently.

Wow. Why am I so angry at this imaginary lady? (PMS. But mind your own business!)

Ok. 66% done with the book. No sexy action yet. But riddle me this… how is she able to drunkenly stumble into the KING’S tent and yell at him? A king with no guards? What The Who the?!

One thing I liked:
“Emma always liked the way Taki'on never asked “are you sure?” or “do you know what you're saying?” and various other patronizing things that other guys seemed to resort to a lot. He just heard what she said and trusted her to be responsible for it.}

Yeah, I liked that.

Otherwise this story was heavy on combat fighting and absent on steam. I mean.. a planet full of male virgins and we have one moderate sex scene where he doesn’t even come?! Really!? Boring. And disappointing. A waste of a sexy opportunity.

I blame it on the flu!
I'm delirious and don't know what I download to my tablet.

There were so much that rubbed me the wrong way. Not to talk about the big words in the end... WHEN were they able to develop that amount of feeling if the never got to spend time together, And YES, I know by now that he has a delicious ass!

This is what happens when you're let loose with a fever and access to a certain website full of books!
Now the day after, I'm like "WTF did I read last night? and what else did I do? I might not be able to show my face anymore. Is there any nice igloos available at the North Pole?

Story was entertaining, especially the bad date in the beginning.
However, instead of developing a relationship between the two main characters - they are separated. Hero is attracted to heroine, but wants to send her away for majority of story. Ebook is less than 90 pgs. Honestly, Emma had more of a relationship with her hyperscythe.

Has potential to be a full length novel. (would love more backstory on the Voril culture).

Either way, Emma got her HEA, confidence & an awesome weapon.

Good but not as good..

I love Juno Wells but this one just didnt do it for me. The story was good but the chemistry between the h/h just never felt right to me. I loved the story building and I will probably try the next one in the series because like I said I love Juno Wells. I'm hopeful the next one will be better.

2.5 stars.

It was just rushed. One second they don’t talk the next they fuck, you blink and that’s over. Blink once more and they confess their love and get married.

So please make this a long book and more detailed since I know practically nothing about anything.

This book was very entertaining.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes HEAs. I can't wait to read the next one.

Emma is a woman that is fed up with human men thinking they are all that and can treat a woman as beneath them. So, she goes to her friends aunt who runs an intergalactic dating agency to see if she can match her up with a male that will treat her right.

Emma gets set up with Taki'on. Taken doesn't know that she is coming and is not prepared for his first look at a female. He fights his attraction to her until he realises that she has been prophesied to enter his life.

I recommend this to anyone that would like a fun read.

When your at your wits end with the pick of males around you you usually look for another avenue. Especially if he is hot. But things aren't what they seem when you meet him. Time to leave. Not only is he in the middle of a battle but picks a battle with you. How far will you go to get back home when it just isn't going to work? Come to find our your not so defenseless after all. Some don't like it and are willing to make sure you know it.
Loved the meet and greet plus the unique relationship that emerges over time together.

Unusual mail order bride story

I loved the story. Emma is a confident women that turns out to be the perfect warrior queen for Tak even though she comes to him in an unusual way.

I do have to note there were a lot of the wrong words used throughout the book and this is why I have it only four stars and not give.

Emma Dyson applies to The Starry Eyes Agency to become a mail order bride to an Alien she chooses the young King Taki'on of the Voril but it turns out he did not apply for a bride. What happens when they meet especially since King Taki'on has never seen a woman before? I was given a copy for an honest review barwatts@telus.net

I was pleasantly suprised how much I enjoyed this story. I was hesitant with mail order brides and curious how these two characters would work out. Although the chemistry seemed lacking in many ways, mostly since they didn't spend much time together, their relationship was shown it was meant to be in the end. Very unique and good story.

This book was OK but not as good as others in this genre. The king was kinda a jerk and his change of heart a little too sudden. The plot felt rushed at times and slow at others. For a short story, it needed better pacing.

Kindle Unlimited won't read again.

He kicked her out of his kingdom

An absolutely delightful tale of intergalactic romance, complete with bumps, potholes and roadblocks on the road to Paradise. Great character development and interesting plot twists. 4 stars because no one EDITS any more.

One of the Best

Tak'on and Emma were sweet together. One who has never seen a woman before and the other that has horrible luck with men. How can she go wrong if she goes to the alien mating agency? It has action and comedy and sexiness all in a great story.

Well written, I love how quickly she traveled to another planet. They fell in love after working together. Time well spent on a Sunday afternoon.

Wasn't feeling the attraction. Very little interaction between the two. Not to mention she gets off doing the dirty, but decides to stop because it's been a while and she feels a little sore, so she gives him a handy. Not romance story worthy.
