The comic skips five years ahead in the future... Golden City is still at the bottom at the ocean, and Harrison Banks is missing. A new Golden City has been built, in space this time. The orphans still live in the Houses on the coast, but are threatened to be evicted, as the city has sold the space to private auctioneers. At the same time, Kumiko is missing, and soon Mifa, Solo and Apple go after her, finding her in the clutches of... none other than Professor Seed. At the same time, the Banks group is trying to assassinate Harrison Banks, who apparently has been found by a private investigator in Africa... The plot, despite the time gap, is still going on...
Once again, the plot is suddenly moved forward in time all of a sudden, just like at the end of the last cycles. This is the first time I really had the impression this move forward was forced because no plot points would need to be solved without a drastic skip in time.. While the illustrations are still amazing, the plot is doing less and less to keep me hooked. Hopefully, Daniel Pecqueur will soon find a way to end this line of books or revive the plot somehow.
