Includes information on the history of herb cultivation as well as growing and using herbs yourself. I liked the recipes for how to use these plants in lots of different ways, from lamb marinade to lotion. There is a section at the back with a profile of all the herbs mentioned that summarizes what you need to know to grow and harvest them. I've never been able to keep a plant alive, but after reading this I do feel a bit inspired to try again.
