Dahil... Baka Sakali... Baka Sakali...

One word. BITIN. I just wanted more in this mature side of their relationship, especially this side of Jacob. Aside from that, my heart broke for Felicity, Duke, and Aunt Precy. Hope that Aunt Precy will still choose to love again. I missed this kind of story of Jonaxx, where the man is very emotional other than the cold and dark side. I love the Jacob on this book who is not possessive and more cautious with his actions. For me, he did not choose to hurt Felicity nor use her as a rebound, he just tried to love again and he did loved her, but his love for Rosie just really hits different.

For me, Felicity is not "that good" like how others view her. Her character is insensitive. I don't like how she lowkey shoving to Rosie na siya ang bagong girlfriend. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that.
Ps. Hindi ko pa 'to full review. I'll edit this once makapag rr na ako.

Ito yung gusto Kong iyakan Pero indi ko kaya.. lahat ng emotions ko is still there Pero binasa ko agad sila, one book per day, nahirapan ako magfeel so for the peeps na nagbabasa. Either way, maganda yung series for me. Palging May makakawawa sa book, di yan matatakasan in any way or form.
Okay, it was good naman.
I've read this last year and ung sakit ng librong 'to just OMG. Jacob is that j-boy na hindi perfect maiinis ka talaga sa kanya pero out of all j-boys, si Jacob ang pinaka totoo. Kaya despite na maraming imperfections ang librong 'to, I'm still giving it 4 stars kasi makatotohanan siya.
The way I witnessed how both of them became matured 😩😩 their love for each other is unstoppable<33 but still feel bad for felicity tho, she deserve more
It’s been quite a while since I’ve checked the third and final book of the Baka Sakali trilogy because the last time I checked, it’s on-hold and I thought it will took a long time. But dang! I never thought I let it slip this long!
As you can remember, I was not that impressed with the first two books from this Trilogy. Unlike Jonaxx’s other stories, it was cliche and a bit corny. So instead of feeling ecstatic because of those romantic scenes, I feel like I wanna laugh because it was corny. I don’t want to spoil both of our moods so I’ll start my review for its third book.
It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve read the book two of this series so I was kind of confused what’s happening. As I can remember, book two ended fine between the main characters so I was kind of groping in the dark in its first few chapters. I can’t take it any longer so I decided to read the last chapter of both book 1 and book 2, but to no avail. I decided to just proceed reading the third book to the hopes that it will contain some sort of what happened of those three years since they broke up.
Yep, I know it’s a bummer guys so I think it’s safer if you try to refrain reading the story right after reading this review, haha. Give it atleast three days and you’re good to go.
In this story, I never read something that I hated from both the first two books in this series. And that’s really a relief! This story may have started quite a bit confusing but I guarantee you that it’s only on its first few chapters. Because the moment you reach the later part, all will be properly explained.
If you happen to read my reviews on its first two books, you will know that unlike most of Jonaxx’s male characters, I wasn’t that impressed with Jacob. And in this book, there are times that I really really really want to smash his head on the cement. So yep, even after those three books, Jacob failed to make me fall in love with him, though I think it’s almost working in this story, haha!
Rosie on the other hand is fine. I have no complaints about her character excluding those part where she can’t seem to move on from Jacob. Well, that was understandable since she refused to face it during those three years.
It was also great to be reunited from their friends like Teddy, Ron, April and the likes. So far, this story is my favorite of all three books. There’s quite a number of characters but it will not annoy or make you confused because you can easily point them all out.
There’s two new characters in this story that I was kind of admire. They are Felicity and Duke. On its first few chapters, I am really rooting for Duke. He’s handsome, nice, understanding, matured and all of those characters of your prince charming are all with him, so no wonder I want to sell myself to him haha. But unfortunately, Rosie still in the process of moving can’t seem to like him like the way he likes her. Too bad! But no worries Duke, I am available haha.
And obviously, Felicity is Jacob’s new girlfriend. Reading those part, I really wanna tear Jacob apart, how dare he! But in all fairness, I love the girl. She’s nice and friendly. And not just that, she let Jacob free so both him and Rosie will be happy together. That girl right?! I think it’s ok with me if she and Duke will hook up, hehe.
As expected, this story is more matured compared to the first two books. The settings happened after Rosie graduated from College and is now working. All the scenes and lines are solid steel. And lastly, both of the main characters feelings about the broke up all makes sense and that’s really a plus. If I have 5 hands right now, I am sure I’ll be clapping all of them because of this story.
I am only giving this story a 4.5 rating because Jacob failed to make me swoon, but overall, this story is highly recommended. If you read this book already or is just planning to read it, feel free to chat with me through leaving a comment below.
Book Review: Baka Sakali Trilogy (Baka Sakali 1-3) by Jonaxx
Synopsis:
"Ang pag-ibig ay parang nagsusugal. Pag sigurado kang mahal mo ang tao, ibibigay mo ang lahat. Ang problema dito ay di mo alam kung may maibabalik pa ba sayo o wala. Maswerte ang nakakakuha ng higit pa sa inaasahan, pero luhaan ang mga sumugal at natalo. Pero ganun paman, tulad ng sugal, kahit walang kasiguraduhan, marami paring umiibig, marami paring sumusugal. Dahil... Baka Sakali... Baka Sakali..." I have read this series in three days (or was it four?) and I just finished it yesterday. I have decided to postpone reading any Wattpad stories from this author since I am not yet finished with Until Forever (Until Book #3) and it has been weeks since I last read a chapter from that story.
Anyway, I decided to read this since I've caught up with the stories that I have been reading lately.
This was another great read from Jonaxx. I liked this story not just because of the romance but because of the humour and the slice of reality. I can say that I can relate to the main character Rosie in a way. I'll be honest that I'm not really a fan of the province probably because I'm a city girl. But unlike Rosie, I'm not a 'matapobre'. Also, that part with trusting others is also a thing I can relate with.
I think that the love story of Jacob and Rosie was the cute high school love story and they were so adorable. Jacob is totally goals! A guy who's totally in love with you, has a good voice, rich, plays basketball, handsome, and has sparkling abs. What else would you want?
But too much of something is a bad thing. Jacob's love for Rosie was toxic for their relationship. I think Rosie was too 'nasasakal' in their relationship. Jacob has so many restrictions and overly protective (sometimes even when it's not necessary).
Rosie on the other hand, is a jealous girlfriend. She's the what-if kind of girlfriend. She's overthinking things. She needs to trust Jacob and stop doubting his love for her.
The thing I dislike about this series is that the problems weren't that big of a deal at first. They could have talked those things out. They were a little immature in handling their problems. They tend to listen to their sides and stand firm on their decisions but at the end, they end up listening to each other's side. Also there were a lot of capitalization mistakes and grammar mistakers on the first book.
At the last book, I was really impressed at Rosie and Jacob. Their characters really grew, especially Jacob's. Rosie made the right decision and I'm proud of her for that.
Overall, I'm satisfied with how things ended but there were a few dragging scenes and the ending was a cliffhanger. Special chapter please?
Rating: 4 stars
