The female lead is pretty funny and incredibly dense, which makes the book readable for the most part. It’s your typical Chinese average dumb girl marries super hot genius rich guy.
Book is bad because female lead pretends to be drunk and her friend/boss tries to rape her. Her (fake gay) husband watches from the shadows without intervening and then, after the boss gives up and leaves, the husband tries the exact same thing! It was completely out of character for both men, especially the husband (who is not really husband, it is a sham marriage to get their families to stop pressuring them). Yet somehow, after these men pin down, force kiss, and grope the female lead, she forgives them. The (fake) husband tells her it was a joke. She’s not even mad for a day, because she thinks he’s gay and there’s no way he would want her anyway. Awful. Awful. How could you watch the woman you live with scream and struggle underneath some man and not try to stop him? And then immediately assault her the same way!!?? And then she continues to live and work with them as if nothing happened!!

I somehow liked it, it’s short. Not the typical Chinese Novel I read that has thousands of chapters, I have always liked the idea of this (he was gay, asked her to marry him to cover him up) and I am not sure but it was not written that seriously, I had a few laughs reading the entire thing. But it was sweet!
