4,5 stars - English Ebook

You would think that having a famous adventurer for a dad would make your life a little easier. But for Wesley Mackey, his father's fame seems to only make the eighthgrader a giant target.

The school bully's torments never end. So, in a flash of inspiration, or perhaps desperation, Wesley courageously takes matters into his own hands-and promptly gets kicked out of school.

Then things really spiral out of control. Soon Wesley finds that managing a bully is nothing compared to handling kidnappers, wild animals, and a woman who wants him to call her Mom. Now it seems his fate will be determined by the actions of his seemingly geeky new tutor and his family and friends.

The humor in this book! It was page turner number two! Intense and fun. Good messages sprinkled throughout the story too.

Widow's Revenge, by K.L. Fogg, is the second book in the Serpent Tide series. The story in this is a little overdone, though well pulled off for the target audience, elementary school students. The Suspension of Disbelief is shattered a few times, and has trouble rebuilding itself, but the book contains good values and a romantic style. The characters may not be believable, but they are very likable.
I would recommend this book for third to sixth graders and those looking for a quick read. If you are a fast reader, this will provide a few hours of entertainment.

I didn't like this book quite as much as the first (Serpent Tide). Sometimes it just seemed too....campy? Predictable?in spots. Mostly in the dialogue, of course. It's one that I don't feel the need to rush out and buy...but I might get it for my kids in a couple years when they can read it :) A few characters are LDS in the book but it doesn't really talk about it-albeit more than in the first book- it's just there, which is good since it lets you focus on the rest of the story.

This is the sequel to Serpent Tide. It continues to follow the story of Wesley, Imogene and the Mackays. Like its prequel, I couldn't put it down. I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen next. I feel that KL Fogg has done a good job of continuing the story.

I really enjoyed this book as a sequel to Serpent's Tide. I will say that is wasn't as good as the prequel, but overall it was still a pretty good read. I really like that it continued with the action, suspense, adventure, and even a little romance like it did in the prequel. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and I really hope that it is just as good as this one.

This book is awesome, but lowkey stressful lol. That's because it has more action than the previous book. I love the way Wesley has adapted to his new life. I'm really bad at writing reviews, especially without spoilers, but this is a fantastic book and I would absolutely recommend it.

A good sequel. A bit disappointing because the direction they took Imogene. She no longer feels like an evil genius. Instead she feels desperate and completely irrational.

This is the second book in Wesley Mackey Widow Revenge
follows the life of Wesley Mackey.
He gets into a fight, gets kidnapped, wildfire, dangerous animals in the wilderness.

Wesley Mackey now lives with his father. The woman who raised him for most of his wife is to believed to be dead. His father is accused of causing her death. His best friend is Amanda. He got kicked out of school for standing up to a bully.

Jack Mackey host of Snake stalker. He believed that years ago he lost his wife and baby boy at sea. Now he knows his son was rescued and was kept away from him. He now lives with Wesley, He is married again and twins girls.

Maggie Mackey married Jack her late twin's husband and has twin girls. She is a vet.

Amanda is Wesley's best friend. They were raised together.

It is one adventure after another adventure. Full of characters that I like. It is a clean fast read aimed at middle school readers but is a story that anyone can enjoy.

This book was just as great, if not better then the first one. I just got finished reading it for the second(mabey more?)time and loved it just as much. K.L. Fogg is and amazing author and I hope she writes more books then the ones in this trilogy.
One of the reasons I love this book so much is because it doesn't just follow Wesley (one of the main characters), it follows all of the main characters so that she gives you a little bit of info that the other characters don't know without giving it all away. It really sucks you in. It's got action, humor, romance, mystery, suspense...everything! The next book(Diomandback Cave) is just as good. :)

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, The Serpent Tide. But this one was a disappointment. I still like Wesley, the main character, but his parents got tiresome with all their bickering. I guess it was supposed to be playful, but it got old.

However, that's not the real problem. I just got confused this time around. Too many characters to keep straight, too many plot twists to be even slightly believable. I know there's a third book in this series, but I don't think I'll bother with it.

I thought that this book was amazing!, but the coolest part was that I actually got to meet the auther K.L. Fogg! It was so cool, one of my guy friends actually told me that I should read it. At first I told him that I wouldn't like the whole series thing.... then I read the first book... loved it! And after that it just all fell into place!!!!! If you are going to read this book though I would reccomend reading the first book before this book!!!

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I waited 5 stinking months to get this book, and I stopped everything I did and read it in a day. It was just as good as the first one, except filled with mystery after mystery, and I thought it would never end!!!!!!! Which is not a bad thing if it didn't. Sadly there are only 3 books in the series. :( But this is now one of my favorite series. It was incredible, amazing, miraculous, etc.
AN AWESOME READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this book just as much as the first in the series, it was just as funny and just as creative and new as before. I love Jack Mackey's character, and I get a hoot out of some of the things he'll say or do. And I love his relationship with Maggie. The characters are all so lovable and I love how there are always a few surprise twists that you don't expect thrown in there. Such a fun book for anyone to read!

I liked this one almost as much as the first one. My one drawback was that the author seemed to give undue attention to the fact that a couple of the characters were L.D.S. Still, it was fun and suspenseful.

Read this a few years ago and just listened to it with my son (2012). Great story and edge-of-your-seat exciting! My son said EEW during the few kissing/romantic parts. = )
The performer, David Walker, who also narrated the 1st book in this series, is great!

I liked this one better than the first book--things moved along more quickly and were more interesting. Not an exceptional series, by any means, but certainly an entertaining read.

Rating: An heavier PG, for intense situations.

Sequal to Serpent Tide. This also has a lot of adventure and plot twists, most are less obvious than the twists in the previous book.

This should keep middle elementary kids turning pages. I think this series is a good one to try and engage reluctant readers... especially boys.

This book was just as predictable as the first. It is an easy read so I was able to push through it since when I start a book I need to finish it. As a teacher of 12/13 year olds, I think they may enjoy it. But as an adult I found it blah.
