Sasha and Dmitri are back in part 2 of the Wallflower series.
After heartbreak, Sasha Harmon is no longer the naive young girl she once was, now a successful businesswoman pursuing her dreams. Yet despite all her successes, somehow she is still haunted by her past; a hardened exterior has made her emotionally closed off from those she once loved. When her past comes back to make things right, will she allow herself to take the risk and fall in love once again?
Find out in the finale of Sasha and Dmitri's story, The Awakening.
Loved it! This was truly a great love story of two people; one who craved love and friendship even if it was negative and one who didn't know he needed love and family because he was so blinded by hate! So happy for Sasha and Dimitri that they were both able to fight for their love and triumph! Sasha is a true heroine! Although she had some deep seeded hurt from her childhood that constantly fed her self loathing and insecurities, she learned from the hurt! Yes she let it define her for a while but she seemed to seek answers that would help her rise above it all. It's sad to say but I think that Dimitri hurting her was a good thing. She didn't understand how she could be angry at him and still love him at the same time but she knew she loved him enough to find out if they could make it. Her quest to be loved allowed her to give him a second chance. But she wasn't that same wallflower he'd met two years earlier and she was not going to just allow him to waltz back without putting in some work. As much of a jerk as he was, Dimitri was just as damaged and Sasha. That's why he didn't handle the relationship with her right the first time. As arrogant as he was, he didn't love himself because of the hate he had for his father, stepmother and brother! I think that once he realized that even after being there for his sister he still wasn't happy, he knew the love he'd lost when he broke Sasha's heart. He was humble enough to own his mistake and man enough to fight for the love he wanted! As a true alpha male, he knew he had to concede and let Sasha be in control or he would never win her back!

When our story resumes, Dmitri knows he made a grave error but he does not know how to fix it. His sister needs him and he keeps busy at work. In the meantime, Sasha has picked up the pieces of her life and has become stronger and harder. When Dmitri runs into her he tries to make amends only to be rebuffed by the new and improved Sasha. She knows she has to protect her heart. Will he be able to reclaim the only woman he ever loved or is she lost to him forever? I loved this story even though some parts were very emotional 🥲
I liked how Sasha grew from the first book! She was no longer a pushover and gave as good as she got, with Dimitri and her so called friend! I loved the scene in the restaurant! It left miss friend speechless and left me speechless also! I did a mental high five at that scene! Dmitri also had a lot of changes that he had to make and he made them in the name of love! I enjoyed the ending also! MS. Fletcher, please keep these stories coming!
This story really should've been one book rather than ending the first book on a cliffhanger then dragging it out unnecessarily. I'm being nice giving this one 2 stars because I almost didn't finish it.
A beautiful ending to wonderful love story ( bk 1 & 2). Sasha got the family she so desperately wanted and she certainly deserved. Loved how Dmitri blasted his father and step mother. Great story. Enjoyed from beginning to the end.
This charming love story is the continuation of Dimitri and Sasha's story. Sasha's awakening, family drama, acceptance of things from your past, healing, the bond of friendship and rekindled love, makes this book one you will be happy you read.
Loved this story! I'm love the way they found love even after losing it. Sasha was a great character. So many women don't find the right person to give them the love they need!
Loved the conclusion of Dmitry and Sasha, beautiful story, all issues came to a realistic closure. I wanted more of this couple 💑 looking forward to Dom story.
This was fireworks all the way to the end. This next installment to this series was such a worthy addition. This was such a good twist to a romance,it's rare when the hero and the heroine do a somewhat of a role reversal.I love the fact that Sasha gets to be a women in control and command, without coming off as a heifer.I love that the writer humbles Dimitri without making him look like a wimp or a asshat .There are so many wonderful parts to this story and a lot of them are dealing with not only accepting ourselves, our short comings and the things that frightened us.This is a story of adult love with so many sigh worthy moments not to mention the sizzling sexy sex scenes. This is book club worthy and this is a very you are going to want to be on your bookshelf.
At last part 2 and the conclusion of Sasha and Dmitri's story, is finally out. I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.
After kicking Sasha to kerb in book 1 the couple meet again after 2 years of being apart. Enough time for Sasha to mature and put a ring of steel around her heart after being so cruelling dumped by Dmitri.
Well the conclusion did not disappoint Sasha made him pay. She held his feet to the fire good and proper. I almost felt sorry for him. He deserved everything he got until be begged for mercy. A great story and I would highly recommend this 2 part story.
I am excited to read Dominic's story next and very happy to note that the author will not be splitting his story into parts.
I am so pleased with the second installment of this series.the firs book literally had me pulling my hair out and I never wanted to read it again. The second book provided redemption for not only the writer but the characters in the book as well.no longer a push over and dimitri no longer a jerk, the couple made me fall in live with them much to my surprise.i started this book with a snarl on my face just having to finish the saga and finished it with a smile.
Fun read and I'm glad I got to finally finish Sasha and D'mitri's story and looking forward to Dominic's and the others. For Sasha and D'mitri, at first I wasn't too pleased with her and him getting back together sooner than I had thought, but as the story continued the fondness I had held for him came back with a vengeance and I really enjoyed the rest of their tale. Wish I found out what happened to the parents, but who knows, it may lie in the rest of the series :)
I enjoyed this book and the conclusion of Sasha and Dmitri's story. I read both books back to back because I couldn't put it down. You can really relate to the characters. The plot was not ridiculously stereotypical which was a welcome change from some of the BWWM novels that I have read in the past. Wallflower and the Awakening were the first books that I read by R.J. Fletcher and am looking toward to reading more.
This was so much better than the first part. The story was more developed and showed greater promise. The author could learn about how to express dialog, as the long solo conversations don't show that bit of professionalism that she needs. If she could add details, what's happening, what the characters are trying to convey. More showing and less telling. A good story worth the read as the story has a nice original concept.
This was a great conclusion although it should have just been one book and whole story.
Dmitry has changed and become the person that Sasha knew he was deep down all along and I love the true love story between them in this book. Sasha has learned her value but allowed a bad relationship to finally sour her view on life-I love how Dmitry rights his wrongs and their love while not perfect is real and has a great ending.
I wanted to give one review for both books. I cried from being happy, sad, angry and joyful for Sasha and Dmitri. Although this is a work of fiction, the issues and concerns are real. I picked up on the non happily ever after between Sasha and her mother, along with Dmitri and his father. What came out of that was there were people in their lives that had always loved them.
This was a good story but there were some points that I thought could/should have been answered. Like was step mom at the wedding ? Had his father come around? What happened with Sasha's ex and her best friend? There were a lot of unanswered questions. If those points weren't going to be addressed then they shouldn't have even been brought up
Sasha's life started off rough for a little girl being left the steps of a church by her mother. But though it all she grow up strong after she got the closure that her mom was all about herself but she had a grandfather that loved her. Demtri was a piece of work in the beginning but she wouldn't let walk over her
I like this Sasha WAY more than in the first book. She was a complete doormat, and given her history I understand how she can get that way and what not. I loveddd Dmitri, Pale skin and dark eyes is a beautiful combination to me, and his determination for what he wanted wasn't demanding to me. Overall I loved it :D
This was an excellent book;I enjoyed it so much that I dreaded the ending. I was so happy that Sasha and her soul mate found the love and happiness they each sought. I Highly recommend this book to any avid reader.
Sasha gets her man back after a two year breakup. She finds her mother who does not want to have anything to do with her, but she also discovers a grandfather that she gets to know. Sasha learned to stand up for herself after the breakup. An okay book.
Great follow up. Even better than the first. Looking forward to Dominic, Teagan and Nadia. I like that Dimitri wasn't just dominant. That he had real feelings. Very good parts 1 & 2!
The story picks up exactly where the other left off. In my opinion it didn't need to be split into two separate books but this didn't take away my enjoyment of the story.
Both books are written well and the storyline is engrossing and interesting. The growth of every character is everything in this story. Looking forward to Dom story.
3.5 stars. A great read, really enjoyed this authors writing style, and yay for a short heroine - also, really nice book cover! Looking forward to read more from this author.
