Life couldn’t be any more perfect as Christmas drapes the home in swags of gold and fresh snow falls. Only one addition could possibly make life even richer and wishes are about to come true. Nothing could spoil a magical time…Nothing. No-one. Not now that ghosts were laid to rest and all was peaceful at Penmorrow. Or so they thought…“Absolutely fell in love with this trilogy! You know that a book is going to be a must read or not from the very first paragraph - this collection of books drew me in straight away. I am an avid reader and it very rarely takes me long to make my way through before I'm onto the next 'must read' but I found myself dragging these books out just so I could escape into my little love affair with Sebastian for that bit longer. Please keep up the good work, Janey. One of the best yet!” – 5* Amazon review.
Penmorrow First I want to say that the cover for this book is simply stunning the colours are fantastic. So this is a follow on story from the fantastic best seller the Sebastian trilogy. It is not a standalone and the trilogy will need to be read first to understand what is happening in this story. The writing carries a great deal of emotion and descriptive writing and you feel like you’re a fly on the wall while reading this as you can picture every single little detail of surroundings and people. The plot and story line are a fabulous addition to the trilogy and ties up some loose ends as well as a few added secrets that come out. It is written in both Beth and Sebastian’s point of view but isn’t confusing and is very well done with the story flowing perfectly and the two points of view tying in well together. In this story we see a slightly softer, more protective side of Sebastian which is different in comparison to the broody Lord we are used to but it is a really nice touch and gives us more insight into the Lord Sebastian. Beth is still Beth what more is there to say she is a fantastic character and gives Sebastian a run for his money. I love Beth she is amazing she has been through hell and is strong enough to come out the other side and make a life for herself with Sebastian at Penmorrow. There are obviously other characters to look out for including a couple of new characters but reading it will reveal these for you! The thing I love the most about Janey Rosens writing is how real the story feels. It isn’t over the top and is perfectly proportioned between normal family drama and fictional life. Janey has kept this feel throughout the entire series and its fantastic. As soon as I saw this was released I had to have it! It dragged me in and couldn’t possibly put it down until it was finished! I urge you all to read this story you wont be disappointed. I rate this story 5 stars
So first off, if you are thinking of buying this book you should!! It is amazing, however it is a sequel to the fantastic Sebastian trilogy so you should read that first! If you have read the trilogy, what are you waiting for, get it now!!! You will not be disappointed. Ok, so the story continues with Lord Sebastian and Beth a few months after the final book and we get to experience Christmas at Penmorrow - will it be a happy one or not?? Will Beth's happily ever after continue? Without giving too much away it's a rollercoaster of book with plenty of twists and turns. I was totally hooked from the first page. It welcomes back previous characters and a few new ones to look out for.
Obviously Beth and Sebastain are still central to the story and we get to see how their relationship has developed. If you loved Lord Sebastian De Montfort before, I have no doubt you will love him even more at the end of this book! Janey has also included chapters from Sebastian's point of view (which I loved!) and this allows us to see his, some what, softer side (but not too soft

A great read from Janey Rosen, Penmorrow is book 4 in The Sebastian Trilogy.

Old ghosts have been laid to rest and It's Chritmas they are surrounded by the most important people in their lives their family. But what happens when a stranger turns up on their doorstep looking for refuge from the winter weather will those ghosts stay buried or is something more sinister around the corner. This book plays on your emotions, secrets are revealed and loose ends are tied up in this fabulous 5 star read
Please read these fabulous books in order: Secrets Dark Bonds Retribution and Penmorrow
Oh my what a follow up, read this in one sitting, what a conclusion to this story, just when you thought they were safe from Scarlett, she came back to haunt them.
We join Elizabeth (Beth) and Sebastian again in this book. Elizabeth is around eight months pregnant with Sebastian's baby when the story starts, close to Christmas time.
The story is set entirely at Penmorrow, Sebastian's Cornwall house and where he met Beth in book 1 (hence, the title).
In the previous books there was a love triangle between Beth, Sebastian and Scarlett (a character who's mentioned in Penmorrow). She had a mental problem and she died because of that in the previous book.
When a man comes to the doors of Penmorrow asking for help with his car in a snowstorm Beth and Sebastian invite him in without knowing everything they really should. When they make a shocking discovery about him, right before Beth goes into labour he's told to get out.
When Beth gives birth it's a happy time, as Sebastian finally has the heir he's always wanted. But it's also a time filled with worry as the unwelcome houseguest might still be around. They didn't see him leave.
When Sebastian and Beth come back after having a bath they see that the baby's crib is empty. This sends the whole house (Beth's daughter, mum and best friend) into panic as well as Beth and Sebastian, where could their baby have gone?
Lies and mysteries are uncovered in this book.
I've got to say that I worked out the twist in this book probably before half way, which was disappointing. I loved Beth and Sebastian still though and also liked that there wasn't a love triangle so much in this book. I thought the evil character was well portrayed, although the Same sort of character had already been in a previous book in this series. It would have been nice to have something new. I therefore give Penmorrow a 3/3.5 star rating. While it was fun and entertaining, it didn't have all that I wanted it to unfortunately.
Wow! What a story, couldn't put it down! Absolutely brilliant. Janey grips you and holds you to the very end. Please read the Sebastian trilogy before you read this. More Janey, please!
