I really have to give this woman all the credit! I was actually really surprised by this book as her first book was a total no-go. This book is so much more structured! And it makes sense. I'm vegan for over 6 years now and I have read my fair share of vegan health books. Freelee's book is definitely amongst the ones that I'm highly recommending. It is just so refreshing to read things like "it is going to take time. be patient. you need to heal first". Does she promise fast weight loss? Hell no. But she promises LONGTERM results and health. And she is constantly stressing how this is the only thing that should matter. As someone who has been following Freelee for many years and is familiar with her videos, I would say you could skip the book. Her videos are very informative. The book has some recipies in it and she quotes Dr. McDougall, Dr. Graham and Dr. Greger (which I think is important for people to see.. some still need to see scientific evidence). What I was strongly critizing about Freelee is the fact that she is no doctor and as she has no scientific degree on nutrition, she should not spread her message. Well.. It's is definitely time to take that one back and apologize for it. If you take a look at the development of the fitness and diet industry in the last couple of years.... that is scary, so so scary. And "scientific proof" or "a degree in health" does not really matter a lot anymore (to me, at least).
Summing up: nothing new for people who know the RT4-lifestyle. but it is still a great overlook and just pretty to have and for re-reading some chapters once in a while. For newbies? definitely recommended.
I've been following freelee for about two years now, and despite watching her videos and researching for ages, I had only managed to eat mostly HCLF vegan, but I sadly resorted to being a junk food vegan when I didn't get enough calories. After reading her book, everything she's been saying makes so much sense! She explains it all, and now I'm all ready and super motivated to become committed to raw till 4! I now understand why it's possible to lose weight or become fit without restricting calories, but losing weight doesn't seem so important now so long as I'm nurturing my body and giving it what it needs (not what it "wants"). Making the change today <3
Great book for every one to read who is interested to stay healthy and fit on long-term. Freelee is a good writer and Youtuber. Thanks to her and her partner Durianrider I found veganism. Freelee points out why it is very important to adapt a plant-based diet, not just because meat and dairy industry is cruel and harmful for the planet and the animals, but it also the reason for all the high rates of diseases like cancer, PCOS, insulin resistance, heart attack, diabetes, acne and IBS. With these great tips, and recipes you can be healthy, fit, strong without hurting the animals. Thank you very much Leanne for writing this book!
I've followed freelee for about a year and she has absolutely changed my life. She honestly does so much for the vegan movement. This book has a lot of information about veganism and rawtill4, but it's nothing she hasn't said in her videos. I would say this book is for the absolute noob who hasn't seen many of her videos. I still love freelee, but the book didn't provide much more information for me.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. Freelee's writing is simple and clear, and she doesn't use much harsh language (as opposed to her partner Durianrider).
The most common concerns of the RT4 lifestyle are explained, and there are some great recipes. They are very simple, but it is what I like, and I think most people on this lifestyle prefer these simple, tasty foods.
I love Freelee! She introduced me to the vegan lifestyle two years ago on YouTube and I haven't looked back since. Anyone interested in in a cheap and easy way to maintain your health, vitality and over all good health will benefit from this e-book!
Amazing little book! I have been on RT4 for 2.5 years now. I lost about 20lbs but more important, I have cured chronic cystitis on this lifestyle. I was in agony. The recipes are really good ones too, a bunch of photos and there are positive reviews (from real people) throughout the book. I love the 30 day meal planner. Love or hate freelee, this book really is great value for money.
