Jack Cruise is your average fifteen year old until he wakes from a fifty year coma after a driving accident he had with his brother. Jack soon finds the world has changed drastically, but he looks exactly the same as he had fifty years ago.
Earth was hit by the remnants of an exploding star which altered the DNA of all living things, especially humans, who now have unique abilities, and never age. Jack soon finds, however, that despite having super powers, the world isn't necessarily a better place. The difference in powers has given rise to a prejudice that caused World War 3, and the most dangerous terrorist in the world has escaped unnoticed from prison.
As Jack pursues his dream job of becoming a detective by going under the wing of Detective Jason Blanc, he unknowingly draws closer to his mother's killer, and the followers of the escaped terrorist, now known as Telepathist. Jack is indestructible, but he'll need to learn to use his other powers - flying and controlling fire - if he's going to survive the path they're thrown on, and make sure no one else in his life dies.
Murderers, Time Travellers, prisons, battles. It's more than Jack signed up for, and if Jack is to make it through his first case, he's going to need to ignite his powers.
