Flossies Mountain

In 1887 Miss Flossie Meadows is working in a restaurant washing dishes and barely covering her room and board. She has been an Orphan for a very long time and use to living on her own. She reads an advertisement for a mail order bride and decides to accept.

Nick Richardson has taken out an advertisement for a mail order bride. But it isn’t for his self. He has a three-wagon supply train he goes to remote mining camps, the bride is for one of the miners and she isn’t aware yet.

He regularly delivers between Durango and Silverton, located at the top of the San Juan Mountain Range. When weather is bad it makes the travel difficult.

I enjoyed reading this story. Although the name of the story could use some help.

I received this GREAT BOOK free in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great book about a young lady that got tired of living alone. She had become an orphan at a young age and now she decided to become a mail order bride. The ad says he is a man that drives a supply wagon to carry supplies to the mining camps but in TRUTH HE only does this for another man so he can take them to the mining camps to find them a husband. She cannot understand why he doesn't seem to want to get to know her while in route. Many adventures await them on the two day trail

I enjoyed this clean, Historical, Western Romance. I voluntarily chose to review it. I gave it a 4.5* rating. This one has a different twist to it. If you like a little bit of deception in your reading, this will do it. These gals took a chance every time they answered one of these ads. We at least have some ways to check up on some people now. These women were risk takers then, but most didn't feel like they had any other options. Don't think I could have done it.

I enjoyed this story, the wholesomeness, and the characters. A rough setting, putting them in a place to test their love. Great read.

Beautiful short story.

Love reading Mail Order bride stories for light reading. Katie Wyatt is an outstanding writer. This is the first that I have read from her short story series. Most of you who read, I am sure, have read a Katie Wyatt book. I have this four stars because I read novels voraciously. As a short, light story I would gave this book a four!

Flossie and Nick

Very short, but sweet story. Flossie responds to a mail order bride advertisement thinking she will finally not be alone. Little does she know what Nick has in mind when she arrives.

This was a short little "light on the Christian" mail order bride fictional story. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, but it did not in any way affect my review. All opinions are my own.

Loved this short story.

Characters were interesting from the start. Only thing that would have been better was if it had been a full length book.

Very good

This story was good it held my attention. What mail order brides put up with such as endangering their lives. Such as Flossie did just to have a husband. They do put their trust in God and teach others as well.

Relatively short story but gives a picture of the mail order brides from the old western times. They had more courage than I would have had and I’m a guy. Very nicely done for Kaity Wyatt. Thanks for your effort and for giving us a “clean” book to read. What a pleasure.
