A must read book!
This is the first book in long time that I have labelled a must read- a must read for parents, educators, employers, anyone who would like to invest in the next generation, or anyone who is interested in psychology, social sciences, political science, and much more! Elmore does an effective job of weaving together general summaries of the next generation with practical tools on how to respond. It also comes across as realistic and sobering without sounding too doomsday-ish, as well as humbly write yet full of his expertise and passion for this generation and society’s future. Even if you don’t agree with everything he writes, I guarantee it will be thought provoking. I myself found it so useful I plan to buy a paper copy after finishing the audio version to keep on my desk as a reference.

This is a great book for insight to understanding the differences in the millennial generation. Professional documentation & comparisons of different studies that align perfectly with each topic covered in the chapters. This book is a bonus for millennial parents, employers, heck it's a great tool for millennial ourselves to understand why we're wired this way and what to expect from the next generation. Now that we understand the reasons, using the secrets listed in the book we can make it better. Excellent work by Dr. Tim & staff.

An excellent read on communicating with, and investing in youth, as well as understanding their perspectives (and ours) in relation to other age cohorts.
The book is a long read, but worth the reward of gaining a foothold to begin acting on relationship building with the young people in your life. It also gives the adult points to reflect on how they should engage young people as a parent, teacher or youth leader.

Although this book is mainly geared towards parents, educators, managers, and other leaders, I found this book to be very insightful for people like me who are part of Generation Y. It definitely helped me to understand the issues that my friends and I face, how they originated and how we can improve.

If you're looking for a primer on the millennial generation, this is a good book for that. It's a little over-focused on the potential downsides, in my opinion. But it's good information written well.
