This is definitely the best of the HTLJ novels. It feels more or less like an episode of the TV series.
I discovered it quite by accident. It was published in 2015 only as an ebook. I’d be interested to learn more about how it came about and whether Universal plans to continue the series in some way.
Rik Hoskin does an excellent job at capturing the feel of the television series, especially the jokes and Hercules' also most charicatured 'straight' personality. But he also uses the advantage of a novel to have Hercules perform mighty super-strong feats which would be expensive, even for television. A fast moving and easy read.
