I love that this book is relatively short, well rounded in coving what's important to 'find your sweet spot' and God-centered. I also liked how the author asks reflective questions at the end of each chapter to help you pin down some of your thoughts that collectively can guide you closer to knowing your calling(s) and what could be holding you back. I'm just the tiniest bit out of my 20's, but I still found it relevant to me.
Great motivational book! I really respect and appreciate the author’s constant theme of making God central in your life. The format flows nicely and is very easy to follow. A main quote pulled from the body of text is pretty common for inspirational books, but it really is key to drive the chapter topics home. Helpful book for helping yourself!
Paul Sohn is the voice of a generation. This book is a must-have for anyone in their twenties. Mentors and leaders need to stock-up and pass it along as required reading. Through his amazing and compelling personal narrative, Paul effectively equips the reader to explore true calling in a relevant way. Rooted in the word of God and standing on the shoulders of giants like Drucker, Guinness, and Collins; Paul supplies practical exercises and challenging questions to help you through a process of reorientation so that you can live in life's sweet spot. If you need direction or know someone who does, you need to buy this book.
Thought provoking and inspirational. I wish I had this book twenty years ago! It is a true guide for use to find your calling and not just get stuck in a mundane day-to-day rut with a job. While the book is written with the millennial generation in mind it speaks to everyone through biblical teachings and solid research. For a first time and self-published author Paul has done an excellent job and this is a must read for anyone interested in leadership and finding their call in life. I will recommend this to all of my fellow cohort students as a must read. It will definitely stay at arms reach on my office bookshelf.
This is a great book on calling which synthesizes the knowledge, advice, and life-experiences that this award-winning blogger has amassed on this topic. The message is targeted for millennials (FOMO, difficulty slowing down, anxiety) but is just as good for person of any generation reflecting on the question of vocation. This read is worth the time for any person who seeks to find the fulfilling "sweet spot" in life.
Succinct, insightful, and intensely practical. Sohn has created a great resource for the young person in their 20s struggling to figure out how to navigate life's most difficult decade. He lays a great foundation of faith in the first few chapters and rounds out the second half of the book with helpful exercises to help any manner of reader get on the path to figure out what his or her specific callings may be. His writing style is pleasant and easily digestible. Highly recommend!
This book was written for millennials but don't let that stop you from reading it. No matter your age, you may be wondering what you are here for. Quarter-Life Calling will remind you and inspire you back to purpose. I also recommend it for teens. I am having my 16 year old read it.
Wish I would have read this book when I was in my 20's! But now in my 60's, I recommend it to all next-generation leaders I serve around the world - great job, Paul Sohn! Congratulations on your launch day for this new book! #QuarterLifeCalling
