Thrust is the second book in the series and its Marco's turn , the teammate of Dyson. We got hints of him in the first book but now we finally get to know the real Marco. Whilst this book is not set at the speedway as much as the previous book Surge, there is plenty to keep you entertained and overlook that fact.

Marco isn’t just another race driver. He is billionaire playboy driver who Dani needs to court and sign to the investment firm she worked for. For Dani that was a task she relished as it means her dreams came true and she proved everyone wrong. However Marco has other ideas as once he lays eyes on Dani he wants her.

The last thing has Dani has on her mind is getting dirty with him as she has eyes on the prize and wants to prove her somewhat sexist bosses wrong. But Marco is no pushover and has a willl as strong as her .

Let the games began.

Thrust was a delightful book to read. Strong willed characters dealing with more then just business transaction. Their whole lives are resting on this deal so to speak and my heart broken for them nearly when we delved into their pasts, their families and saw how they were shaped to become the people that they were today. This book went deeper then I ever thought it could and I love it.

This was a stronger book in my opinion compared to the first. I know I gave that pretty high rating but know that I have comparison and seen what Storm can do I would push my rating slight down for the first book if I could. As this book has more depth and entertainment and characters that are more endearing . I do hope this isn’t the last book of the series as I’m loving the concept and the storyline

Never once did I believe that Sloan Storm could surpass her success of Surge and how powerful the characters Dyson and Ava in her first full length novel, and yet, here I am, flabbergasted, speechless and faced with the task in having to come up with the actual words to describe what Thrust is and its impact on me - what a challenge I must admit. Thrust is the type of book that will make you wish you had Vin Diesel's skills in the garage from the Fast and Furious franchise, Marco's talent behind the wheel and all the advantages of being Dani - let's come right out and admit it, this owman has the brains, the looks and the opportunity of working with one fine looking man [would it be too crass to say @$$ ?!?]. This one relationship really tested my belief in whether or not Dyson and Ana were the it couple to beat and I'm now wondering if maybe Sloan Storm has been holding out on her readers thus far. It was hot, drool-worthy and so temptingly decadent that you'd debate calling in sick from work simply to finish the rest of the novel [I swear!!]. This one heck of a thrill ride from start to finish that didn't end and I didn't want it to - Sloan Storm has absolutely proved once again that her books and her storylines only get better as they come out. My only recommendation: get your fingers rolling on your computers and one click Thrust, or add it to your To Be Read list, because I promise you, it's one novel you won't regret reading.

I connected a little more with Dani and Marco, in this story than I did with Dyson and Ava, in the previous book, but it still lacked a bit of build up toward their "falling" moments. For me, it lacked sufficient interaction between Marco and Dani for me to "feel" their fall or even want to be in Dani's shoes and have Marco to myself.

The writing; however, is exquisite. Sloan Storm does an excellent job of showing the reader the surroundings of each scene as well as the physical movements of the characters. I can see everything going on in my head, but it's missing that element that allows me to feel it all in my heart. :-(

Overall, the story was still a good read (may even be a great read for other readers) and I will continue to read the characters and stories that come from this author's imagination.

First off I absolutely LOVE Sloan.. she is completely Brilliant... and I SOOOO TOTALLY loved Surge the first book in this series... this one however.... Not my favorite from her.. and I hate that I didn't LOVE LOVE LOVE it.. I felt myself somewhat skimming thru parts of it (mainly the beginning part)..

Dani is a investment banker and she is VERY good at her job.. She is given a opportunity to make Partner in the firm she is with but it comes with a BIG stipulation.. she must land and get Marco Rhys the HOT Indy Car Driver.. See Marco's dad just passed away and he was left with LOTS of money.. the firm Dani works for wants him as one of there clients.. Of course Dani wants Partner.. Dani vowed she was not going to sleep with him just to get him signed.... BUT.. well... you guess what happens.. but still Marco doesn't sign..not just yet.. But eventually Dani gets her signature.. she is ready to give the bosses what they want... but when someone unexpected shows up with some VERY unexpected news.. Dani looses it..

I think what thru me off was just all the issues with Dani's Bosses Bernard and Leopold ..(didn't really care for them at all), then Serena..GOD I hated her.. She was just this HUGE MEGA BITCH!!! What she did or tried to do to Dani and Marco...

I enjoyed the last half of the book a whole lot more then the first half...

Marco’s father died and he inherited all of his millions it’s diffcult for him to comprehend why? I mean the guy never really showed that he loved him while he was alive in the first place he needs help keeping track of his money and make sure he is investing it properly and make sure the company he hires will do their best to aid him.

Danni Mills is the best investor and therefore is given the lead and sent to Monte Carlo to join Marco and figure out the best strategies. What they didn’t count on was the immeditate attraction they would feel towards each other. Their first encounter caused sparks to fly between these two characters it was amazing!!!

Lots of drama and obstacles try to invade Marco’s and Danni’s lifes. It is bound to cause heartbreak, heart shattering deception and major revelations are uncovered. It’s a remarkable read that will keep you wanting more!

Another amazing book by this very talented author. This story will grip you from the very start......how can it not? Hot, sexy race car driver and a strong independent woman! Marco is a wealthy sexy snd incredibly good looking race car driver looking to invest his newly inherited millions. Dani is strong, career minded and knows what she wants. She works for one of the biggest investments firms trying to get Marco as their client. Dani knows if she gets this deal, her career will rocket and she'll make partner. When the two meet, sparks fly! This story will have you hooked from the very beginning and with the twists and the incredibly hot scenes you won't be able to put it down.

Goes down as another off my 2018 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book set in a different country. From New York to Monte Carlo, what a fast ride Dani is taken on.

Dani’s career seems to be on the up when she goes along with her two bosses Bernald and Leopold to – hopefully – close a deal with Marco Rhys. He has just come into a lot of money and they are hoping to seal the deal to get him to invest with them. Seems they want to make the deal that much sweeter for Dani to get her to really go for it but in the process only seem to annoy her with it. Seems they think she has talent and want to make her a partner with the firm, which is great but only if she can land the deal with Marco. Seems they like to put strings attached to deals but only it seems with her. Double standards from the get go and the more they talk about how she is the right person to close the deal with Marco by any means the more she gets the underlining impression they really mean ‘by any means’. This gets her back up and she makes it clear that she is not going to sleep with him to get them what they want. Their backtracks give the impression that they shocked she would come to that idea but you know that what they are hoping will happen. She may say no now but the moment Marco walks into the meeting things take a turn in that direction with the heat coming off both of them.

Marco has had enough of investment companies hounding him from the moment his father passed away. He might have inherited a lot – billions to be exact – but he just keeps hearing the same pitch over and over again. Seems this one has caught his attention a little more with the introduction of Dani though. His interest now has nothing to do with where to put his money but something else entirely. He can see that she is interested from the moment he touched her hand. Her pitch like the others blurs together and its not long before he gets up to go leaving our girl to say ‘are you sure they is nothing I can do to change your mind’. Well her mind might have been innocent enough at that moment but his certainly isn’t when he invites her to an event he is going to that night. One look from her bosses and she knows she has to accept. Seems the game is on to close the deal but soon the tables are turned when her feelings come into play.

Once she gets to spend time alone with Marco she can see a different side to him than the man from the meeting. It doesn’t take long for her to loosen up and have fun, almost forgetting about the reason for coming and the signature sheet she has for him just in case. After getting a bit tipsy it seems Marco wants to get his Cinderella back from the ball but when she sees the direction of the car she knows that things are about to get complicated. More so when they get into his place and find another women on his sofa. Seems Marco has an ex, Serena, who can’t let go but thankfully leaves – well after being told to. You’d think the moment building between them would have been killed dead by that but it soon starts up again. The two of them together are like a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off. She knows she shouldn’t do this and even says so but with the way he looks at her she knows there is no way she can say no when all she wants to do is scream yes – and that she does!

Seems this is just the start of their passion but her job is always just there causing friction between them. He wants her to just be herself, forget about the job and let them have some fun. It’s not long before fun starts to have a different meaning when feelings get involved. When these two collide you know its going to be fireworks but not always in a good way when the past comes back to bite.

When Serena keeps popping up you know there is more to the story than just being an ex. Seems she does not take rejection well and feels the need to bring everyone down to with her and Dani in now in her line of sight.

Thought Dani’s family was very selfish with how they treated her, seemingly her whole life. Always taking advantage until the moment comes where you know she is going to snap.

Seems this Formula One driver who likes to live in the fastlane so lets see if Dani can keep up. Or better yet if he’ll grow a pair to pull over and pick her up for good. Another fun, fast paced read but this time without with guys on the track.

Review:

This is the second book in Sloan Storm’s Fastlane series. It is more edgy than the first book of the series and more involved. Where the first book took us to the race track of formula one racing, book two is Marco’s story off the race track and facing his Billion Dollar inheritance from his father after his death.

Dani is given the responsibility to sign Marco to her investment firm. If she signs him, she will be made partner. Something that she has worked hard for. When they meet on Marco’s yacht to start negotiations, Dani is left rethinking her role in signing this outrageous man, that leaves her almost speechless. Dani has her work cut out for her, not only does she need to sign Marco to her firm, but she also must keep her heart from becoming part of the deal.

This book has drama and action that will keep the engines running at high speed.

Oh my god Sloan had out done herself once again. Here we're seeing more in depth Marco. His father has died leaving him his entire wealth of billions. Which Marco not sure about considering as he didn't actually show him much love whilst he was alive, so he needs to find a corporate bank to help with his money to make sure they'll do the best job. So in steps Danni Mills the best investor of the company of brothers Bernard and Leopold who she works for so she's been taken to Monte Carlo to take the lead and to entice Marco to join theirs. Marco see's Her and wants her and Dani losses her I'll say brain as whenever she's along Marco she can't think straight.
He takes her to a gala and there that's when you can feel the attraction becoming stronger so when they get to his, there's a woman Serena dressed to the nines saying she expected to go which makes Marco mad. He gets rid of her as she's shouting and crying though to me she was just being melodramatic to make a scene. But that doesn't stop Marco and Dani's wanting of each other though she initially only went to get Marco tí sign they're agreement, which as you can see didn't actually go to plan. After Marco was being very charming and wrong I'll say after 'the deed' was done his whole attribute changed and particularly kicks her out.
The next day she tries to get him to sign again which he was stand offish & gets her to leave the paper work. She goes back to NY. They don't have any communication for a couple of weeks & during that time Serena goes to his and seems to drug him trying to get what she wants when he did come to he see's her at the string box, but isn't with it & think forgets about it as he's still got it in his system.
He rings Dani & ask her to go to his and his place in Italy, which she does with the intention to get him to sign the contract, but yet again their station takes over, most the time. Whilst she's at his she see's this intricate strong box tries to get him to open it which he didn't until after she's gone with the contract & finds in it what his father wanted him to find an adoption certificate & a letter.
Though when Dani gets back to the office she's called in for a meeting & see's Serena who comes out to be married to Marco and had a video of Dani and him TOGETHER, which makes them decide to sack Dani which breaks Dani's heart as she's fallen in love with him & feels betrayed she rings him, leaves the message telling him all. Then she hears another heartbreak.
I think I'll leave the story out line there as this is a MUST READ, with ALL THE EMOTION of SEXUAL FANTASIES and of HEARTBREAK, BETRAYAL &

Dani has spent the last several years laser beam focused on her career. She has brought in millions of dollars of accounts into the investment security firm where she works just in the last year alone. Her ultimate goal is to make partner, and secure herself a life and income independent of the control of any man. She wants to make it, all on her own, and know that she owes no one for her success. Unfortunately, there is one man standing in the way of this dream: Marco Rhys.

Marco is a Formula One racecar driver, and a teammate of the hero of the previous book in this series. While he is a millionaire in his own right, it is the legacy of his recently deceased millionaire father that is in need of management. Marco has never lacked for money; what he has lacked in his life was simply human connection.

Dani’s superiors charge her with bringing in Marco’s account, making this her last hurdle she must jump to make partner. While they don’t tell her to sleep with Marco, they make it clear that she is to close this deal at any cost. Frankly, I found their treatment of her more than a little infuriating. I learned early in my life that men in suits with money are not to be trusted, no matter how “kindly”, “fatherly” or “family oriented” they may try to portray themselves.

What none of them are expecting is for Marco to turn the tables on them all. He refuses discuss money with them, instead insisting that Dani accompany him to a gala thrown for the drivers. Despite her reservations Dani agrees, hoping to get well enough on his good side to close the deal. She quickly finds out that she is in over her head with Marco.

The attraction between them is evident from the beginning; but they both hold secrets that may tear them apart. Marco insists that he has to “know” her if he is to give her control of his money. But Dani builds her walls higher and thicker, trying to keep herself - and her own secrets - safely hidden.

Sloan’s characters are all very human. They all have their flaws, and all make mistakes. You will find no “perfect” people here, and you are very likely going to find yourself yelling at the book at some point in time. That being said, the drama is top notch. There is a storyline in this novel with an “attachment” of Marco’s that I couldn’t get enough of. While I wondered at the lack of actual racing in this novel, it was not that big of a deal breaker for me.

I thought Sloan outdid herself with Surge the first book in the Fast Lane Series with Dyson and Ava but wow.....Marco and Dani= HOT
We caught a glimpse of Marco in the first book Surge through Dyson's story. Marco is Dyson's teammate in the Formula One Racing. Surge was Dyson's story and now it's Marco's :)

Marco has just lost his father which he wasn't close to but inherited a lot of money. He isn't sure what to do with it so he has tried to take time to think about how to invest and so forth and what his best options are. Well many investment places have been hounding him and trying to persuade him to invest with them. Well then walks in Dani...one of the most intense and successful investors. Marco is mesmerized by her and Dani gets her world rocked when she went into this with one thing in mind...her eye on the prize of making partner. She is told that she must persuade Marco to invest with them or else she won't get the promotion she has worked so hard for. She keeps trying to tell herself that she must avoid any personal emotions she has toward Marco but soon realizes that is a battle she can't win. Marco and Dani spend a lot of time with each other from this moment her trying to talk him into investing and him trying to get to know her. She soon realizes that her feelings are very powerful toward Marco and gives into desire...the lust between these two is powerful and intense. The come together and basically explode with each other. Things become intense with them and they grow closer by the day until Dani again gets her world knocked out from under her this time in a bad way.
Can Dani get over the hurt caused by Marco ??? Can Marco fix the damage he has caused by not being honest with Dani??

This book is packed with everything .....sexy, action, vulnerability, lies, trust, suspense, secrets and soooo soooo much more. Sloan showed the vulnerable side of Marco just as she did with Dyson and how sometimes a very controlled person can get the world rocked off it's axis just by a strong woman with backbone. Both Ava and Dani have backbone and stand for what they believe in.

I loved everything about this book from the very first sentence.

This is the second book in this series, but this story definitely stands on its own. Characters from book one are very briefly mentioned, but if you haven't read these in order, you won't be missing anything by starting here.

I was surprised that for a series that focuses on Formula One drivers, that there was absolutely no race car driving in this one. Sure, Marco drove a car extremely fast in one scene, but it wasn't on a racetrack. His profession had very little to do with this story, other than it being the source of the massive amount of wealth that Dani wanted to manage. Even though I'm not a racing fan at all, it seemed odd that we never saw him at work, and that everything took place during the off season. I kind of wanted a racing scene just because.

I liked Dani as the heroine. She's a strong female character, who's become successful at a young age due to her own devices. She isn't looking for a man to take care of her, as she's doing well on her own. But when Marco enters the picture, he quickly becomes more than just a rung on the ladder to breaking the glass ceiling forever.

Marco? He did some things that were difficult for me to get over. I won't go into details because it would spoil things, but if trust was such a sticking point for him, I would have expected him to have behaved differently. I never really forgave him for not being completely honest upfront. For that reason, I was just kind of "meh" about the conclusion, and for how easily Dani was able to forgive and forget.

This book is a bit more steamy than some of the author's previous works, but I almost felt as though the only thing Marco and Dani had going for their relationship were a couple encounters of hot sex. That's a good start, but it's not everything. So I found it sort of unbelievable that either one of them would develop strong feelings for one another past the friends with benefits stage so quickly.

There were a few surprises in this one, courtesy of someone who appeared to be a bit player at first, but really wasn't. Ultimately, that's what made me power through the last half or so of this read, just to see what happened and how this was resolved.

I think what thru me off was just all the issues with Dani's Bosses Bernard and Leopold ..(didn't really care for them at all), then Serena..GOD I hated her.. She was just this HUGE MEGA BITCH!!! What she did or tried to do to Dani and Marco...

I enjoyed the last half of the book a whole lot more then the first half...

Thrust was my first book by Sloan and I can tell you it won't be my last. Full of action, steamy romance, a little drama, and a dash of laughs, this book took me on a wild ride.

Dani was a great character, stuck working in a feild dominated by men, including her bosses and co workers who did less than her but seemed to command more accolades. Dani understands how it works, she knows she has to prove herself even more with these men, but she also doesn't want to put her morals/principles aside to do so. When she's thrust into the role to nab Marco as a client or lose her chance at partnership, Dani puts her all to the task, unfortunately Marco has more in mind than closing a business deal.
Marco is one Sexy race car driver with a mind of his own. He comes off a little arrogant at first, but as we get to know him more, we can see how he truly is. He knows because of his fortune, left by his father, everyone is clamboring for his attention, but Marco isn't really about all of that. But Marco's used to getting his way, and he also knows what he likes and goes after it.

Thrust sucks you into the story right away, pulling you into the lives of both of these strong characters and leaving you wondering what's coming next, how things are going to work out. As Marco and Dani grow closer and become more embroiled into an almost battle of wills, its intriguing to see who will give in first. There was just enough drama thrown in to add more depth to the characters too.
I look forward to reading more books from this author.

This is the second book the Sloan's Fastlane series and what a story it tells. Marco is not the person he may seem in the public, there is more to meet the eye. He's handsome and mysterious, what's not to love about that! Dani is strong, independent person that has had to fight for everything she has. I love that about her. And their relationship is defiantly scorching! And I love that just when you think know what will happen next, Sloan surprises you. Marco and Dani are phenomenal and highly recommend this book and author.

This was a wonderful story, Dani who has been working up to becoming a partner in the investment firm is given one more client to sign and it is none other than Marco Rhys. Marco is a famous race car driver who's father had died recently. His inheritance was excessive and he needed help to maximize his returns and keep the money safe. Dani had her work cut out for her and the partners made signing Marco a must if she was to make partner in the firm. No pressure right?

"That is, aside from the fact he was incredibly good looking, had a dangerous career and walth beyond imagination...I had the sense he'd be successful without a single penny of help."

"He smelled like European glamour and old world charm rolled into one smoldering temptation."

"The speed, the wind and the danger fueled all of my senses, wrapping them together in the moment and blocking out everything else."

This story takes the reader on a journey with many twists and turns, you think you know what will happen next but you don't. Excellent writing, with characters who are easy to love and who's feelings are human and believable. We all want to achieve in life, but it is not always what we deserve or what we really need to grow.

So I like finding new authors, at least new to me authors. And Solan Storm is definitely a new author to me. I wanted to read this book because the cover totally pulled me in. I was like, "Oh a racing book. Something new and refreshing to read." 


    I completely didn't realize this was the second book in the series. Though I don't really think that makes much of a difference. I wasn't really sure what to expect going into this book. 


   I have to say I liked the beginning of this book. I thought it started off interesting and the author brought into the story and made you want to know more. 


     I liked Marco and Dani's characters at the beginning. I liked the chemistry between them. I especially liked Marco at the beginning. He kind of had this mysterious broody vibe going on. I even really liked Dani and that she seemed like she was going to be a strong character.


    But that's about where it ends for me. Somewhere along the way the storyline became a bit strange to me. And the characters just kind of got on my nerves. There also was no racing in this story. I would have thought there would be a bit of racing in it. I will admit though there were some hot scenes that made up for it.


   I'm only able to give this book 3.5 stars out of 5!!!!

Thrust is the 2nd book in the fast lane series. It took me a little bit to get into this book but once I did I quite enjoyed it. I think Sloan Storm did a great job writing this book. I liked how the story flowed and how it keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen next. It deliver a very real, very heart-wrenching story that could easily be about real people. The story had me smiling and blushing all the way to the end of the book. I found that the POV between the characters it was entertaining and enjoyable. Here is a little bit about the characters. Marco Rhys is a hot Formula One race car driver but is also a jerk through out the book he comes to the realization of what's important in life. Dani is a investment banker and is strong, career minded and knows what she wants. She works for one of the biggest investments firms trying to get Marco as their client. Dani knows if she gets this deal, her career will rocket and she'll make partner at her firm; all she needs to do is sign sexy, billionaire Formula One race car driver, Marco Rhys.

I gave this book 5 stars due to it was so hot and steamy and would defiantly recommend this book to all my friends who read the same types of books I do. I am addicted to reading and am glad I had a chance to read this book.

Dani Simms is an independent woman who relies on no one but herself. She is an investment banker who is working toward becoming a partner in the firm. The other partners gave her a proposition that if she can land Marco Rhys as a client, she will become a partner. Considering she has brought in most of the accounts to the firm, she was not concerned she could close this deal. That is, until she met him…..

Marco Rhys is a Formula One race car driver and is also sex on a stick. He is dealing with his father’s estate after he died and is in need of an investment banker. When he meets with Dani, he invites her to the sport’s annual gala and awards banquet in order for her to have another opportunity to persuade him to use the firm she works for. Or so he said……

This story is set during the off season of race car driving so there are no scenes around the track and only one mention of Dyson Vix (from the first book) when Marco introduces him to Dani at the gala. This book is more of a drama romance. Dani is dealing with work and family drama and Marco is dealing with the death of his father and all that comes with that. There are times of humor, sadness and times of wanting to slap someone. Oh yes, and times you might get a little over heated!

Overall, it is a good read.

I figured out that the reason "Thrust: Bad Boy Racing Romance (Fastlane Series Book 2)" just didn't click for me had to do with the hype from the first book, "Surge." I enjoyed the story revolving around the race track and what happened between the drivers vying for competition. "Thrust" was set while racing was in the off season and I wasn't expecting it. I also had hopes that "Thrust" would incorporate Dyson and Ava from "Surge" but there was only the slight interaction with Dyson at the Gala.

We were first introduced to Marco Rhys as Dyson Vix's teammate in Formula One racing, but weren't given much into his life or family. In this story we learn that he just became a very wealthy man after the recent death of his father. He has all kinds of investment firms wanting to talk to him so his patience is very thin when he meets Dani Simms. If she can't sign Marco to the investment firm she works for, she could kiss her dreams goodbye.

This book has much more drama with Marco learning some things after his Dad's death, Dani trying to understand why her family doesn't support her in her career and thinks she is a walking money bank, and then there is Serena.......Marco's wife. All in all this is still a good read, just not a great read for me. I love Sloan Storm's work. I just wasn't sold on this one.

I have very quickly come to LOVE this series. Dani is an investment banker that is totally obsessed with her career, which leaves no time for men. She's given an opportunity to become partner, but first she must make Marco Rhys, a famous Formula One driver, sign with their firm. They have an instant connection, but he's determined to not make her task easy. He strings her along while the partners get antsy. Once he decides to sign with her, an outside force swoops in to ruin everything. Will Dani be able to forgive Marco's secrets?

WOW! I devoured this book in one sitting. The character development is great, as Marco is a mystery that unravels slowly. A fast paced, sexy, and well written story line flows very well. Sloan Storm has an easy writing style that hooks me from the beginning, and I can't read it quickly enough. The chemistry between Marco and Dani seeps out of my kindle, leading to SMOKIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that will ruin panties. A few twists and turns out of left field round out the story very well, with mediocre and evil protagonists to keep me on my toes. I'm so happy to have been able to discover this author as I CANNOT WAIT for more of this series. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Received this book for an honest review.

Okay, this book did not appeal to me as much as the first "Fastlane Book Surge". I was looking forward to reading this one but I am not sure why this book did not engage me in the story line. Marco and Danni were a couple that appealed me.

Marco talks about honesty but he lied by omission from the start. True Danni never asked the right questions when it came to personal stuff. Her blanking out mental whenever she was in his presence was a bit annoying.

Danni's inability to articulate to her family how they made her feel like nothing but an ATM only to be bothered when they were in need. Her belief that she was standing on her own two feet without relying on anyone else stemmed from watching her mother rely on her father for everything and she resented and was scared in the same breath that she would be like her mother.

After stating why the book did not appeal to me, I want readers to know this book is not bad. The author did a good job in writing this story it just did not appeal to me.

The Fastlane books are standalone and don't have to be read in order. If you like difficult men that stand in their own way of happiness then you will enjoy these books.

Her bosses are being extremely pushy and it's clear that her promotion is contingent upon Marco's signature. Marco makes it clear that it won't be easy to get him to sign, unless he gets his way......with Dani.
Dani is used to being in control in the boardroom, but in the bedroom, Marco is most definitely in control. Marco runs hot and cold. Dani is more easily read.
There are many obstacles they need to face, due to miscommunication, before they can fully trust one another.
This is BOOK 2 in The FASTLANE SERIES ! If you haven't read BOOK 1 - SURGE, YOU NEED TO ASAP !

I am sooooo sad that I am only giving this book 3 stars. The first book Surge was amazing and I could feel the chemistry between the characters as well as all the other books that I have read by this author. This one just didn't give me that feeling.

Marco is a formula one race car driver and is looking for an investment banking company to help out with the estate that his father had left him when he passed. Danni is the investment banker that Marco meets and she is trying to do everything she can to get him to sign on to the company she works for so all of her dreams can come true. She just didn't know she would fall for the guy.

This book will bring you family drama, a jealous ex, tragedy, and some steamy scenes. This book just didn't do it for me and like I said, I am sad to say this. I would say that I enjoyed reading it and I still think all of her other work is just amazing.

I absolutely loved this book... The story was amazing and kept me reading to the point that i didn't want to stop, even to go to bed last night!!!
Dani is an investment banker and her bosses have informed her that if she compleates the deal with Marco then she will make partner in the firm. With her future riding on him signing the agreement, how will it plan out when they meet and the electrical energy is mind blowing?...
Marco is a formula one driver and has also recently inherited his father's fortune following his death. With competion driving him crazy with bankers wanting his business, it's up to Dani to get him to sign!...
With them both willing to earn each others trust, their relationship really takes off!!! With problems arising left, right and centre... The journey to live begins... And what a journey it is!!!
I loved this story, it was perfectly written with an amazing flow at just the right speed, and the characters were bloody perfect for each other!!! A 10/10 read with lots of emotions that will run high but leave you very satisfied by the last page!!!

Thrust by Sloan Storm, book 2 in the Fastlane Series is a fast paced romance with a hint of mystery thrown in. The story is told mainly in the POV of Dani Simms, a young investment banker with her on on becoming partner in her firm. Dani's bosses tell her she needs to sign Marco Rhys, Formula One driver & newly inherited Billionaire to the firm. Dani is thrown by the gorgeous mysterious Marco but with her dreams within her reach she won't give up.

I enjoyed the story to a certain degree - Dani and her conflict with her family and dealing with family stress very realistic. I did not enjoy Marco's character for 80% of the book, his redemption at the end almost felt forced for me. Dani's bosses irked the hell out of me flip flop wishy washy - I wanted to throw my kindle a couple of times. I did feel for Dani and empathized with her and what's going on in her life enough to get into the book. The epilogue saved the story for me. 3 Stars for Thrust by Sloan Storm.

WoW! What can I say this book had everything from humor to heartache. Marco is a race car driver who likes to be in charge. Dani does not like giving up control to any man Marco included, but she is trying to secure a promotion to partner of a large company and her promotion is dependent on signing Marco as a client. The first time Dani lays eyes on Marco she feels an attraction but company policy is to not mix business with pleasure so she sticks to strictly business. Marco is attracted to Dani from their first meeting and sets out to charm Dani. Neither looking for anything long term it seems perfect until the feelings they begin to develop for each other become so strong that they have to act on them. But Marco has some secrets from his past and present that may destroy what they have building between them as well as costing Dani her livelihood. The story has enough twists and turns to keep the reader attention until the very last word. I enjoy reading Sloan Storm writings and this one did not disappoint.

After loving the first book in the Fastlane series, Surge, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Thrust! Especially after the small taste we got of Marco from Surge.

Dani is a successful investment banker but in a world dominated by men, she's still trying to make her mark. When she's given the opportunity to make partner she jumps at the chance. Now there is only one thing standing in her way....or rather someone. Marco Rhys is a man who knows exactly what he wants and from the moment he meets Dani there is nothing he wants more.

I absolutely LOVED every second of this book! The twists and turns kept me on edge the whole time and Dani & Marco's relationship was HOT AS HELL! Yet another unmissable book by Ms Storm! I seriously can not wait until book 3!
