Pessimistic Christians: Why Our Views On Money and the Future are Hindering Our Work, Our Witness and Our Net Worth

Rate this book
What’s with us evangelical Christians? When it comes to money we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t. We’re guilty if we can’t pay the bills and we’re guilty if we’re succeeding. The fear that the love of money or success will ruin you spiritually is a possibility – I concur. But I believe the fear is overblown and over emphasized to the point that it cripples initiative, innovation, creativity and the faith it takes to move mountains and the energy it takes to be successful in the marketplace.

Add a negative attitude about money in with a prophetically pessimistic view of the future and you have a recipe for financial mediocrity and maybe even poverty. Either way, we’re not helping our men and women reach their potential as providers and marketplace leaders.

At its core, Pessimistic Christians is an appeal for financial self-awareness and wisdom. It’s not a money management book or a boring budgeting plan.

This book will surprise you. It will dislodge and disrupt some sacred cows in our ranks. Your comfort zone will be stretched. It may be a beginning point, a spark for radical change in your financial life.

Awesome!

I am impressed and very proud! Well said, Don. I could hear your wisdom in every word, and actually 'hear' the words in your voice. Wonderful and inspirational read! I highly recommend this book!
