*This is book 27 in the Frosted Love Cozy Mystery Series* Whenever Bed and Breakfast and cupcake shop owner Melissa Gladstone meets someone new, trouble always seems to follow. In this tale of life in sleepy Calgon, Florida, our heroine never dreams that a chance encounter with a sweet, elderly woman will lead to a whirlwind of mayhem and murder.
Melissa Beckett is busy running her bed and breakfast and keeping up with the baking at her cupcake shop. The last thing she needs is a murder in her town. Yet when someone is killed she dives right into the investigation. All the characters are wonderful and the mystery is well written. I am so happy this is a series because I want to read more! A delicious recipe for peach cupcakes in included in the book. I happily recommend this book!
I cannot get enough of the Frosted Love mysteries. This time in Calgon, it seems to be a very complicated international crime ring going on that unknowingly ties into the residents in more ways than they know. The local antique shop owner comes in to try Missy's cupcakes and inspires Missy to visit her shop to obtain things she needs for the bed and breakfast. This lovely woman and Missy are doomed to have a very short relationship as she is the next victim to be murdered. Kel as usual is on hand but seems low key as he is entertaining another part of the crime ring unknowingly. Echo has her own problems with men including loud Steve, her annoying neighbor. She is desperately trying to get her candle business off the ground and is constantly being interrupted and not just by Steve. Despite her feelings for Steve, he never hesitates to step in when he is needed and can help. I do think he is growing on Echo. They mysterious and talented young marine Spencer once again undertakes a mission that shows off his many talents. His story line seems to foreshadow interesting developments. The trouble is once again taken care of and I am left wanting more without a cliffhager. This authore is very talented at keeping your attention as well as keeping the story fresh and interesting. Always a good read and never disappointing.
Once again, there were too many details hidden from the reader. I would've preferred to be able to solve the case alongside Chas and Missy. However, I wasn't able to, due to the lack of evidence given. I also wish the dying party wouldn't automatically be someone new to the storyline. Cora seemed to be an interesting character; someone I would've liked to see embroiled in future books.

Things are quiet at the B&B with no customers for the moment, Kel is puzzled by an international buyer who is very interested in his art but wants to meet Kel's clients to speak with them, Missy meets a sweet old woman who owns the local antique shop and she and Echo do some serious shopping there but a few days later, the old woman is murdered, and everything is pure chaos. Chas goes to investigate a second murder to find the Feds are already there investigating. There are more twists and turns than a corkscrew and lots of suspicious people and things happening until a con man is found and a killer is discovered. Really great read.
I have read all 27 of these books, completing two or three books a day. The author has great characters and good plots in each of her books. I love the individuality of all the characters, and how they all flow together as friends, family, and the unfortunate neighbor.LOL!!! Fantastic reading!
This is a fast read about a man who is Coming to Town looking for some of his missing items. The story is a little too fast paced you don't really have time to learn about anyone or their end goals.
Watch out for strangers you show the insides of your house to!!!!!!
I give this 10+ stars. Wow, Kel got Carla and quite a few of his clients mixed up in a spy ring that resulted in vandalism and murder. Then Echo was fooled again by a good looking delivery man connected to the international spy that Kel had taken around town, which broke into Carla's house to get a more complete list of her clients she decorated for. And there was Spencer and "loud Steve" (Echo's sleazy neighbor) coming to the rescue again. You will have to read the details way too much to try and summarize. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
The New Year has begun in Calgon, Florida and a chance encounter with a sweet, older woman at her cupcake shop plunges Missy, Chas and the gang headlong into another mystery. After missing in Fruitcake Murder, Spenser is back and, once again, lending a major hand to his "adopted" family. I love that no matter what is going on around her, Missy continues to create her signature cupcakes and Echo has started her own business making candles based on the flavors of those cupcakes. This is a wonderful series full of people you wish you could know in real life. A terrific read!
Whenever I begin a new book in this series I feel like I'm coming home and visiting my neighbors. If you're a cozy lover this is the series for you. Each member of the cast of characters takes center stage as new books are added and I'm always anxious to see what's next!
I've read over 20 books in this series and it seems like I know all the people! Or there is a character that reminds me of someone I know. There are dogs and cats included in the story, and yummy sounding cupcakes, and always a new adventure happening. I hope there are a LOT more books coming yet!
This book is a great read alone or as part of the series. I recommend this as hero and heroin are really great in each book. The best friends are also wonderful extended family.
Murder occurs with a sweet elderly woman and all heck breaks out. Turn the pages to see if Echo finally gets a love interest, what missy and Chad are up to and Spencer takes a trip to find a scared kid. Good reading peeps
I just love this series. The characters, the animals and the location are all wonderful. The writing is great and you just get sucked into their world.
This is a fun, fast paced cozy, perfect for reading while winding down. The book is definitely well written and the characters continue to be enjoyable. It's so enjoyable to reread this series.
