Trading Down:
Cassie works at a bar and restaurant in Maine. One night during a really nasty storm, in walks Denny McGowan, a man in a tux and totally drenched with a roll of hundred dollar bills. The two spend the evening talking while he drinks and helps out at the bar. They spend a sexy night together, and when she wakes up he is gone. Thinking he walked out on her, she heads into work. Where she sees that the place has been broken into. There are two men there looking for Denny, and holding her at gunpoint. Will she make it out of this alive? Has Denny really walked away or will he be there to save her? What kind of trouble has she gotten herself into now?
Bad Company:
Cassie just met Denny but there is a connection she can't deny. They are on the run together from two thugs who seem to keep finding them. But now they have gotten away, or so they think. The two spend several hours talking and learning things about each other. They certainly can't explain the chemistry that is working between the two of them. Is this meant to be? Has Cassie finally found the one for her and fallen in love? Or will the thugs find them and ruin all the thoughts in her head?
All Or Nothing:
So Cassie finally calls Denny and they agree to meet. They talk in a coffee shop and decide to give it one more shot. But on the way back to the cabin, Denny is run off the road and kidnapped by Al and Luis. Not knowing what to do, she contacts her father for help. Even though she know that Denny has lied to her, she still wants him. Can she find him before Brady kills him? Will Billy Ray help her? Or is she making a mistake by giving Denny a second chance?

Trudy still has two men pursuing her, which will she choose? She has told Charlie that there is no 'us' numerous times...but he doesn't want to give up. He is trying to get her to give them another try. Will on the other hand is like a yo-yo with her. Give and take, she just doesn't understand him. But when Charlie takes things to the next level, Will's driver, Maninder steps in to save her.
Will whisks her off to Austria to have dinner and the two really get to know each other. But when she wakes up the next morning and he is gone, she decides she is done. But he left a note...doesn't that count for something?
Cabal:
So, Trudy has started to fall for Will...but is that smart? He is mysterious and dark and damn she can't seem to stay away. The time they spent in the Alps was amazing, but was he just using her? Did he need an alibi? Is he responsible for Sally's death?
Charlie wants to talk to her. He is outside her apartment waiting for her when she gets home. She doesn't want to talk to him, but she listens. Listens to his side of The Cabal, what happened those two weeks with Sally. She is so surprised by what he is saying that she has no response. She just needs to think, she needs time.
Will contacts her and tries to talk but she blows him off. He is waiting outside her apartment to talk when she gets home, but she doesn't make it easy on him. She tells him the things Charlie told her and he is hurt that she believes Charlie. He leaves...
When Hammy calls her and tells her his side of what happened, she starts to realize that she is wrong. Is Will really a monster? Or is he the fixer of the mess? Does he love those he lets into his circle so closely that he takes all the bad?
She calls him. He sends a car. They talk. And...
Her Desires:
Trudy has to figure out what to do about Will. Does she love him? Can she have a relationship with someone who has so much hidden, locked away?
Charlie calls her to tell her that a man broke into her apartment earlier that day and he is outside watching her. She checks it out and then calls Will. He says he will be there shortly. But it isn't fast enough.
Julie, Trudy's friend does some digging around to find out some information on Will and his family. She shares what she found with Trudy and tells her to think about her choices. Is Trudy strong enough to stand up to Will and demand answers? Can he give her what she wants? Or does she end things and walk away? Well, try to walk away...
Black Widow:
Enjoyable read. Had me right from the start. Then when I figured out where it was leading, I was excited to see how it ended.
Eleanor and Jeremy have a great life together, or so she thought. One evening he comes to her and tells her he is mixed up in some really bad things and the cops are after him. He begs her to trust him, that he is going to run away and will send for her when it's safe. The cops show up at her door and she thinks they are there to question Jeremy. But they are there to tell her he has been killed in an accident and she is under arrest for being a part of his wrong doings. She ends up spending almost two years in jail. The sweet, spoiled woman that went in emerged as El, a changed woman who was out for revenge.
First on her list was Danny, a guy that Jeremy told her she could trust. She went after him to extract information and break him along the way. But when he was unwilling to give her the information she wanted, she hurt him. He gave her a number that he had, where 'the man' called him from and she tracked it. She was set on getting revenge for the loss of her husband, her happy marriage and easy life. But what she walked into was more then she ever expected.
She got a job at the bar where the calls came from. Rob hired her for a waitress position right away. But when she is found by Danny and taken to a remote home, she is beaten and drugged and told to wait for 'the man'. What she finds shocks her. She isn't sure what she has done to deserve this life. But can she go on like this or will she try and escape? Will 'the man' hurt her, sell her or keep her for himself. Does she want him? Who is he? Will she be the one to escape and find a new start? Or will 'the man' make all the decisions...

I'm still feeling the blood rush through my veins after reading ! Outliers has everything you would want an more! Mz Adams has a way of writing that makes you feel like you're apart of the books! Such a fantastic imagination! Outliers is the perfect name you'll find out why when you read it .. Gripping engaging, suspenseful, and a rollercoaster ride! I received this from the author in return of review. Highly recommended

I really enjoyed the books. The characters in the books were both complex and loving. Had made mistakes but eventually owned up to them. I highly recommend it. They go at a steady pace and that makes it nice to read them. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Winner Takes All
Cassie has been running from her past, her family and herself for so long, that she doesn’t know if she’s coming or going. Never really knowing her father, other than the fact that he wasn’t there when she was growing up and when she did need him, he was in jail, trying to support her mother and herself when she was a young teenager due to her mother’s terminal illness, then finding herself alone in the world before she was 16, kicked out of school and not sure what to do with herself, all seems to have taken it’s toll. She’s been hiding out, trying to live a quiet life, not sure what to do with herself. So, imagine the turmoil when, in the middle of the biggest storm she’s seen in a long time, while at work at the “in the middle of nowhere” bar and grill, in walks Denny, looking like a drowned cat, dressed in a tuxedo, and flashing a wad of rolled up $100. bills, cockily asking where a guy can buy a good drink. The connection is instant between these two, as they flirt throughout the night.
But neither are aware of the action-packed life they are soon to find themselves in the middle of.
An awesome read, this book is filled to the brim with action, a bit of violence and lots and lots of hot and steamy, sexy scenes that will have you burning up with a fever to “get yourself some”. With only a handful of people she can rely on, Cassie questions her actions on numerous times, never quite sure who is telling the truth and who is simply trying to use her for one reason or another. The struggles her and Denny encounter might make you wonder if they will ever get a proper chance to simply enjoy each other.
Be prepared, once you pick this one up and start reading, there’s no way you’ll want to put it down. I hope to see more of this couple somewhere down the line. I think the author could easily create some form of series, or at least a second book based on these two, and some of their “friends and family”. This is a standalone and complete. Absolutely loved this story. A must read if you like lots of action and lots of loving.

Wow! This was so intense. It took me quite some time to figure out which man Trudy was actually going to end up with, as she volleyed often between Charlie and Will. There was so much going on in this book, that at times it was overwhelming, but as you continue, you realize that it was a necessity, a means to the end. The characters are complex, yet they totally wow you from the beginning. The plot starts off fast and continues that same pace throughout the entire book. Once you start reading, there’s no way you will be able to put it down until you are finished.
Between the “lies”, or perhaps it would be better to say the different memories, of the same events, the heated exchanges between Trudy and Charlie, then between Trudy and Will, whether it be verbal or sexual, or the “chats” with her friend Julie, drunken or sober, the action that transpires throughout will have you biting your nails and perched on the edge of your seat. A must read.

OMG! Can we say dark? This book will take you for a ride on the dark side, and it will include many nasty realities that we tend to hide in the very back of our minds. Eleanor’s life has gone from ideal, comfortable with her work and in love with her husband, to bleak and dark, caught in her own mind due to circumstances beyond her control, circumstances set in place by her husband, Jeremy, who she now knows, she truly didn’t know at all. After spending almost two years incarcerated for aiding her husband with his illegal dealings, of which she found out the hard way, the real hard way while in prison, she’s out and looking for revenge. She’s not even sure who she’s looking for, but she determined, because, after her nightmare in prison, she is still locked up, only it’s not in a cell, it’s in her mind. Will she ever feel normal again? Where will she start? The only person she knew of that knew about the secret life Jeremy lived, would be Danny. As good a place as any to start. But where will revenge take her? And what exactly will it give her when she finds it?
If you are looking to read something different, with a dark twist or two, full of intrigue, action, pain, abuse and twisted love, then this would be the one you don’t want to miss out on. It is a standalone that you will find, that once you start, you won’t be able to put it down…and even at the end, you could continue reading, because the author has you hooked, hook, line and sinker. A great way to finish off the boxed set. P.J. Adams has made it to my small list of favourite authors.

Before I break down each book, let me start by saying that this author does an excellent job of writing about strong female characters. I get peeved when I read books where the female has a mousy character, but I never have to worry about it with her. All three of these stories are very different from each other and very good. I highly recommend any of them for anyone not looking for a typical romance.
Book 1-Winner Take All - 5 Stars
Cassandra “Cassie” Dane was tending bar in a tiny town in Maine on one of the last nights before the season was over. Nothing out of the ordinary until Denny McGowan comes in, soaked to the bone in a tuxedo and nothing else. After spending the evening talking to him, Cassie is irrevocably drawn to him. But with him comes danger and Cassie isn’t sure who to trust.
Well, this book definitely kept me guessing. The author did such a good job with the layers of plot, my trust factor bordered on what Cassie must’ve been going through, trying to figure it all out. I love it when a book isn’t very unpredictable and this one wasn’t. Definitely recommend.
Book 2-The Object of His Desire - 4 Stars
Trudy attended her brother’s wedding and while there, she ran into her ex as well as a mysterious, rude millionaire who happens to be her brother’s new brother-in-law. Trudy is as intrigued with the millionaire as he seems to be with her, but what are his dark secrets?
I really liked this story. Trudy is a strong, independent woman who is drawn towards Bill. The sex scenes were hot and the story kept you pulled in until the book was finished. I highly recommend.
Book 3-Black Widow - 5 Stars
Eleanor Drayton was just released from prison. She spent 20 months in there as an accessory to her late husband’s crimes, which she hadn’t found out about until shortly before he was murdered and she was charged. Let me start by saying OMG!! While there was one thing in the story I was pretty sure about, the rest of it surprised me at every turn. I was very intrigued from start to finish, even when I was upset at the way Eleanor was acting at one point and I was sure I was going to hate how it was turning, but then another shocker. There were definitely parts to the story that were a little hard to read (plenty of pre-warnings from the author though), but I absolutely loved the entire story. It was my favorite of the three. I highly recommend, especially for those that want a break from the standard romance and like stories with a good twist.

Well, this book definitely kept me guessing. The author did such a good job with the layers of plot, my trust factor bordered on what Cassie must’ve been going through, trying to figure it all out. I love it when a book isn’t very unpredictable and this one wasn’t. Definitely recommend.

Trudy attended her brother’s wedding and while there, she ran into her ex as well as a mysterious, rude millionaire who happens to be her brother’s new brother-in-law. Trudy is as intrigued with the millionaire as he seems to be with her, but what are his dark secrets?
I really liked this story. Trudy is a strong, independent woman who is drawn towards Bill. The sex scenes were hot and the story kept you pulled in until the book was finished. I highly recommend.

This is 3 books in one bundle and they are all good. The first book is Winner Takes All, and Denny is on the run from people he owes money too. Given to me for an honest review. If you are unfamiliar with the word Outliers, I chose the mathematical definition from the 3 given in the dictionary: a statistical observation that is markedly different in value from the others of the sample. This somewhat loosely describes the people and their behaviors in these stories. Ms Adams has mixed erotic behavior, the Stockholm Syndrome, and just plain bad people in all 3 stories. This is a boxed set containing Winner Takes All, The Object of his Desire, and Black Widow. Each story is complete with no cliffhangers. If you are into large amounts of nudity and sex in your stories, you might have given these stories more stars than I did.
Winner Takes All---This is a little more erotic than I like. Cassie tends bar. A man in a tux walks in and he is soaked from a major storm. Cassie is trying not to stare at him. She wonders what has happened to him.

These are three very intense reads. The first story,WInner Take All, is a great opening story. It is the story of a women who tends to be attracted to men that are not that good for her but are sure fun for awhile. Denny and Cassie have an intense connection from the moment they meet but they both know he is bringing trouble to her door.
The second story is about an American living in England. She attends her brother's wedding and spends a lot of time with her ex but her real attention is on another attendee. The more she learns about him, the more her concerns grow. She has to decide whether to follow her desires or take the safer path.
The third story is a brutal tale of a woman who feels wronged and is out for revenge. It is a real dark and intense story of a woman who has been broken in so many ways. It will definitely surprise you.
I was very intrigued by all three stories. There are lots of twists and turns and you really are not sure where it is headed. I love that feeling. Each of the women is very different in terms of their experiences but they all are at an important junction in the their life where the choice they make will dramatically affect their future.

If you enjoy romantic suspense, then this is a great set of books for you. If you struggle with some of the darker themes, than you'll probably want to take a pass on this one.
By far, Object of His Desire was my favorite. It was the least "dark" of the bunch, although it definitely had its darker moments.
Black Widow involves a woman on a quest for revenge after she was imprisoned for her husband's human trafficking trade. It was dark and went a bit further than I tend to like my books. There's nothing wrong with revenge and violence - I just like my romances a bit happier than that.
Winner Takes All fell somewhere between the two. Both main characters are on the run from something in their past. They find their way together (and apart, more than once) on the road.
I read all three books in only a couple days, so there was definitely something captivating about the storytelling. The characters were, for the most park, ones I could get into in the first two books. I really struggled to get through the last one though.

Winner Takes All takes you on a trip on the run from some bad characters. But is Denny one of the good guys or one of the bad guys? And can he and Cassie possibly make a life on their own, even if they escape?
Object of his Desire keeps you guessing until the end. Trudy is a strong, professional, modern woman, I love this character. Her love life has been pretty much nonexistent for about a year since she broke up with her ex. After seeing him at her brother's wedding he wants her back. There she also met her new sister-in-law's brother, who is very intriguing. But then everyone warns her off the brother. Are they just jealous, is he the trouble they make him it to be? Can she trust him?
Black Widow is sort of sad, El thinks a lot in her head. The revenge motive to the story is admirable, but she has practically no way of finding "the Man". The remembrances of her time in prison are hard to read. This story left me in a dark place, even though the end was good.

I loved this book!! It has 3 full length novels, each so different from the other. Each one of these books was full of action, suspense, intrigue, danger, twists that you never expect, a darkness that you'll crave, unexpected romances, steamy sex scenes that will leave you breathless, and all of them will leave you wanting more!! The Heroes are sexy and definitely bad boys, while the heroines are all trying to find themselves, who they truly are and their place in life.

I loved this book!! It has 3 full length novels, each so different from the other. I absolutely loved this box set!! You get three different stories that are a roller coaster of emotions that keep you interested and invested in the stories!! The first story drew me in right away. It was interesting and thrilling and sexy as hell!! The second story was great too!! I'm not going to go into details because I want you to experience all of it for yourself, but I will say I definitely recommend this box set and it's a bargain at 99 cents!! Believe me, it's money (very little) well spent!! The last story is dark and dangerous and exciting!! It's a story of murder and revenge, and the perfect ending to this box set!! 3 Different stories of suspense, mystery and romance. Each tale is different but will take you into a world where you don't know what will happen next. You have a computer nerd who makes his way to a small bar and then goes on the run with the bartender, a brother-in-law that she can't figure out and a woman out for revenge. And what happens in each will surprise the reader.
These stories aren't the type of mystery/suspense I would normally read and was slow getting into which is why the 3 stars. I have to say that Winner Takes All was my favorite, once I got into it I didn't stop until I was done.

I really enjoyed this boxset and how complex and intriguing the characters were. The first two stories were my favorites in the series. I really liked both couples in these books, and seeing how they worked through their situations.
It's a personal preference of mine that I don't care for stories where the leads are widows/widowers, so that's why the third story bothered me. But for anyone that doesn't mind that kind of thing, I'm sure you'll enjoy the story. It was well written, and the author is very talented.

This is a set of three captivating books that are well written with great plots, that are loaded with twists and turns that keep you glued to each book. You like, Cassie and Denny Mcgowan, Willem Bentinick-Stanley and Trudy Parsons and you kind of like their supporting character Charlie though that’s a bit up in the air and you like Eleanor Dryton and her guy. It was definitely steamy at times and a little tense but they were all good stories and you rooted for each of the main characters to get what they want and have their happily ever after So if you get a chance check it out and enjoy.

I was given a copy for an honest review - this is the first book that I read form PJ Adams and it will certainly not be the last - The characters in all three book are smart, show a lot of strength while facing adversity some of it was dark and complex. You can't put the books down once you start them

This bundle was three romantic suspense novels that followed three different couples. The storylines and blurbs were really interesting, however, I wasn't able to fully get into the story like I wanted to. The stories were well written though and worth giving a try. I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. This was the first time I had read this author. This set includes three books, all of which are romantic suspense. The characters are well written but can't say I enjoyed all the leads. While not bad it wasn't one of my favorite reads either.

These are three books that are abput three different woman who have very different circumstances that brings them into the lives of men that could change them. The changes that they make could be good or they could be bad. Who will be the one that comes out on top.

The stories are full of twists and turns. They are interesting, dark, intriguing, surprising, thrilling and sexual. The plots are well thought out. The characters are well written and full of depth. I think these are worth reading. If you like suspense and thrillers than these will be for you.
