WARNING: This book is 100% hard-riding, dirty-talking alpha times two. Read at your own risk.

Having him is the most dangerous play of all...

Now that Miami star quarterback Jordan Barr has had a hot, wild night with halfback Eric "The Brick" Higgins he can’t get him off his mind. Eric is under his skin, but he needs to learn a lesson—that Jordan calls the shots when it comes to these sorts of red-hot entanglements.

And that lesson will be conducted in bed with every inch of Eric’s ripped, muscular body bared for Jordan’s pleasure.

Jordan is the most intense, commanding lover Eric has ever had. Trouble is, the two of them have an enemy. As rumors of game fixing ratchet up, compromising photos land on their phones, as well as a note to pay up or be exposed. Eric’s ready to walk away, but when the threats intensify, the men must work together to figure out who the hell is gunning for them.

And working together can only lead to one thing…

An even hotter, harder, sexier encounter.

But the more they come together, the more determined their enemies are to tear them apart.

Play Harder is the second installment in a three-part MM romance trilogy. It ends in a cliffhanger.

Jordan and Eric are both star quarterbacks for their respective major league football teams. Both have been harboring a secret lust for the other for years. It seems perfect right? It could be, but both are still stuck smelling old gym socks in the closet and with both their teams embroiled in a match fixing scandal, it would be a disaster to even be seen together. But when the fates conspire and both end up in locked in the darkened room of a TV studio, the sexual tension of their chemistry causes an explosive reaction. While Eric is more than ready to get Jordan under him, Jordan has way too much to lose to give into his feelings but with each new interaction between the two it’s becoming harder and harder to resist the attraction.

What happens when you throw two stubborn and virile alphas, with a penchant for talking dirty, together in the midst of a scandal that can end both their careers? An unputdownable and hot as sin series filled with action, angst, drama and humor.

Play Harder – The One with All the Angst

We pick up right where Play Hard left off, with one thoughtless move in a moment of passion leading to the threat of both our boys being outed. They either need to pay the ransom held over their heads or face losing everything they’ve built. The match fixing scandal is still looming and when Jordan finds some circumstantial evidence, the tentative relationship between him and Eric is put in danger. Mistakes are made and when Jordan lashes out, Eric has no choice but to walk away. But with Eric’s life being put in actual danger, can the two of them find a way to move on from their insecurities to find out who the blackmailer is and find their HEA?

The series just gets better and better and this short volume in the series was jam-packed with action as they try and figure out who could be behind the blackmail. The steam and angst was pushed up a notch with secret trysts and outside elements and their own issues threatening the relationship.

4.5 Stars - Hot & Mysterious.

This is book 2 in the "Hot For Him" Series and it picks up exactly where book one left off. Jordan and Eric are in a battle of wills fighting off an attraction and the lust brewing between them. One unwise error in a public place has now led to blackmail - pay up or be outed. But is it really blackmail or could someone just be hoping to change the nature of Jordan & Eric's relationship? One thing is for sure J.T. Fox has written a thriller with fast cars, lots of sex, football, blackmail, and mystery. A great book 2 in this serial style story that I recommend!

4.25 Bossy Stars

Warning: This is the 2nd in the series. Do not read Play Harder until you have read Play Hard.

Warning #2: Don't read this review if you haven't read Book 1. It contains slight spoilers for Book 1 but not Play Harder.

Eric Higgins and Jordan Barr are professional football players. Sexy, bossy football players. Really bossy.

Eric's mouth opened, bu before he spoke, he bit down on his full lower lip and nodded, clearnly remembering Jordan's earlier command to keep quiet.
"Well, well, it's nice to know you can be trained," Jordan teased, with a curve of his lips. "Good boy."

Eric and Jordan have a lot to lose. They are both implicated in a cheating scandal. And the cheating scandal will seem like a walk in the park compared to what could happen if the world finds out about them. And that could be any minute. They know there are pictures out there. Pictures of them. Pictures that could ruin everything they have worked for.

Can their new relationship weather this storm? Jordan has so much more to lose than Eric. But they are both prideful. And not ready to give up that or their trust completely.

Again...this is the second in the serial. The third comes out soon. I need the third one. Because this waiting is killing me.

Things continued to be interesting and hot and fun int his one. Was pissed at Jordan for assuming the worst about Eric and not letting him explain. Such an idiot in that moment, but I'm sure it will work out.

I don't get what the blackmailer is trying to do if they didn't release the photos when they said they would, so I'm interested to get to the last book and find out what will happen.

OMG! I was so ready for more of Jordan and Eric's story but I was unprepared for the way J.T. Fox raised the stakes!

The first story ended on a cliffhanger and what I thought was a plot twist...until I read book 2!

Jordan and Eric's chemistry continues to explode all over the place. I couldn't even read along with out feeling the need to fan myself. Jordan's dominant side emerged and Eric wasn't the only one left breathless and shaking!

When the guys finally get together there was nothing that could have calmed the storm of their passion! I dare anyone to read this and keep their panties dry!

Throw in another plot twist, this one I didn't see coming AT ALL, and I've literally bit all my nails down with the suspense at the end of the story.

I cannot wait for the conclusion: Who is the blackmailer? Did everyone survive? Is the horrible rumor about Eric true?? Can Jordan survive his broken heart?? What is even going on right now????

AHHHHH!!! I loved it, i was hooked from the beginning and I don't see myself losing interest any time soon!

This is book 2 in a three book series, you MUST read them in order to properly appreciate them!

Play Harder is the second in the Hot for Him series. It picks up where Play Hard left off and it's hotter, more suspenseful and with a crazier cliffhanger. Jordan and Eric can't stay away from each other. They want to see where their chemistry will take them, but now added to the cheating scandal, they have to deal with finding out who's black mailing them.
Jordan has too much to lose to be exposed and if they don't watch it the animosity is going to break them apart before the blackmailer does. I love Jordan and Eric. They are so sexy, hot and dirty. I love it! Will they be able to trust each other before it's too late? Is the blackmailer closer to home than they thought? I can't wait for Play Hardest!

"Don't talk, or I'll stop," Jordan ordered.
Eric nodded curtly. "Shutting the fuck up. Right now."

"I like my drinks hot. Just like my men?"

He was in bed with Eric Higgins. And he was staring at his beautiful, naked, work-of-art-body.

Play Harder is the second installment in the Hot For Him Series from J.T. Fox. These are not standalones, and they need to be read in order as Jordan and Eric's story continues from one installment to the next. These are short novellas that end with cliffhangers, and there will be three installments in this series.

Play Harder picks up where Play Hard left off with Jordan and Eric struggling with the attraction and chemistry between them. While they want each other, there are many reasons they shouldn't be together the least of which is being found out by the media. Not only would their careers suffer, but with the scandal going on with their teams they really can't afford to be found out. But they are unable to fight what is between them, and their connection is hotter than ever. But with someone blackmailing them with photos threatening to out them, the two must work together to get to the bottom of who is behind it. Can they figure out what is between them and also keep it a secret?

These two were hotter than ever here, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. These two guys are seriously sexy, and it was clear right from the start that the attraction was never their issue. I did enjoy seeing them together here, but I also liked that they got to know one another a little better as well. There were a few times that Jordan did things I didn't care for, but Eric has done the same and both of these guys are trying to figure out their place so it was understandable. Jordan is used to putting his family first and will do whatever it takes to provide for them. He isn't willing to risk that, which is admirable. Eric is used to having everything he wants without having to put it all on the line. After being hurt, he is determined to do whatever it takes to make sure that never happens again. Yet neither of these guys can deny what is happening between them, though it scares them both.

I have to admit that at the end of this installment I was really disappointed in Jordan though. I hated what he did and while I understood it to some extent, it was really frustrating. Every time these guys appear to finally be making some progress there is a huge setback and it doesn't seem like they can catch a break. After the ending here, I definitely need the next one and I am anxious to find out what happens next for them. I really do love Jordan and Eric together, and the chemistry and connection between them is so strong. I do wish that these installments were longer though, since it is always just getting to the good part when it is over. Play Hardest can't release soon enough, as I need to see how it all ends for these two.

Woah! Book two in the Hot for Him Series has definatly turned up the heat!

Play Harder doesn’t miss a beat and continues right where book one left off.
Jordan chases after Eric after their Very public kiss and he means to teach him a lesson in patience.

Normally the one to take the lead, Eric is surprised at how much he loves Jordan ‘s bossy nature. Things heat up real fast and wall are torn down even faster when they finally let go and give into what they both want. Each other.

The sexual tension and connect is off the charts leaving more then just these two hot and bothered. This isn’t just a fling for either of them. They want more, but Eric still holding back.

Just when Jordan though it couldn’t get any worse, they start being blackmailed with intimate images threaten to go public. With their careers are at risk, they need to seek to find out who is intent on ruining them. But this just leads to more drama about the game fixing which leaves Eric looking like the mastermind behind it all.

Can Eric really be the evil genus playing with Jordan’s feelings? Or is it just what someone wants Jordan to believe?

Just like the first, this ends on a major cliffy that makes me want to beg for the third book to be released early!

A Review of Play Harder by J. T. Fox

Who will win - the gamer or the blackmailer? - 5 stars

This is the second part of a three part story. In the first book, we met Eric and Jordan, learning about their past connection and how each has had fantasies of the other over the last ten years or so. Eric is the cocky one, that is more like the love 'em and leave 'em guy, while Jordan is the one afraid to get involved because his family depends on him for support. However, they can't seem to stay away from each other.

Eric is usually the dominant one in any sexual partnership, but when he is with Jordan, he finds that he is more than willing to let Jordan be the dominant one. It turns out that "Jordan is the most intense, commanding lover Eric has ever had. Trouble is, the two of them have an enemy. As rumors of game fixing ratchet up, compromising photos land on their phones, as well as a note to pay up or be exposed. Eric’s ready to walk away, but when the threats intensify, the men must work together to figure out who the hell is gunning for them."

Now that they are being blackmailed, they are facing the idea of what would happen if they were exposed. Would either of them be able to survive the media backlash and hold onto their jobs and endorsements? Jordan is given evidence that points to Eric being part of the game fixing, but instead of confronting him to find out his side of the story, Jordan accuses Eric of being the mastermind behind all of it. He even thinks that Eric is just playing with his emotions to cover his bad doings.

What happens when they refuse to meet the blackmailers demands? In the first game of the season, who is it that takes a hit that could be the end of everything? This does end on a cliffhanger, so if you don't like them, wait until the final part comes out, then get all three parts together.

Play Harder is the second book in the Hot for Him serial series. I love serials and this is a hot one! It packs in a lot of meaning and hotness for being so short.

Play Harder starts off exactly where Play Hard ended, with fear of being exposed, hot chemistry between them and the unknown about their future. Jordan and Eric would like nothing more than to be able to be together and play the game they love. But, not only being openly gay players would be exposed, they would be a couple on opposing teams during the wake of a cheating scandal. It can ruin them. Jordan has his family depending on him and Eric loves the game too much to just walk away.

Jordan and Eric have to work together to figure out who is blackmailing them. The play clock is ticking down for them to decide on what to do next. Will the threat of exposure cause Jordan and Eric to part ways or bring them closer than ever? And does it have anything to do with the cheating scandal rocking the game?

I love these two! Jordan is alpha and likes to be in control in the bedroom and really anywhere they can steal some filthy moments together. The chemistry between them is amazingly hot but is their relationship only about sex or is there more?

Overall...it's short, sexy, scandalous and I can't wait for more!

Quotes:

“You won’t die,” Jordan assured him.
“But you’re going to pray for mercy before I’m through with you.”

“I love feeling how hard you are and knowing that every inch of this is for me.”

“Spicy or super spicy?” he asked.
“What do you think?” Jordan said.“Super spicy, burn my motherfucking tongue off.” Eric laughed and nodded approvingly. “That was the right answer.”
“Glad I passed your spicy test. Same for you?”
“Of course. I like my drinks hot. Just like my men.”

This is the second book in the Hot for Him series and finally I feel like the story is going somewhere. In the first book, I felt that it was too fast and there was little story for us to get a firm grasp on. In Play Harder, we get what we are looking for.

This takes place the moment after the first book left off, which was right where it should have taken place. We see a much different side of Jordan then we saw in the first nook. He is taking over the role in the relationship that I would have expected Eric to take and that was a very pleasant suprise. We see the alpha in hiding and that was hot to say the least. It is not to say that Eric is a doormat either. He is in awe of Jordan's new side and just enjoying the ride. If you are looking for hot m/m sex then this is the book for you. It is not jammed packed with it, but the scenes that are in there are well written and hot hot hot!

The storyline in this book is so much better then the one in the first book and that was what left me wanting more and counting the days til the next book. There is a definite mystery going on here and it will be interesting to find out who it is that is framing our boys. I am hoping that the end of the book is not a rush to just name a person who is framing the boys. I also hope that even though J.T. has shown that Jordan can be an alpha boy, he gets over his wishy washy ways. I feel like he is a bit of a whiner in both of the books. The only part of this book that I was like WTF was the end. It is written different then the other parts of the books that are from Eric or Jordan's point of view and did not make sense to me and left me wondering what was going on. I think it would have been better to be from a first person point of view from some character.

Damn, JT started Play Harder off right. All the sexual frustration she left us with in book 1 was so worth it, because we are rewarded for our patience in book 2! Holy hotness. I knew these boys had insane chemistry, but this is pure animal magnetism. If the first book was the appetizer this one is the main course. It has more of EVERYTHING - More mystery, suspense, action and is much hotter. These books seem to be building not only momentum, but storyline. They are deliciously unpredictable.... I liked the boys in the first book, but now I love them!!

As we get deeper into Jordan and Eric, we see their true personalities... Jordan is the alpha male in this relationship and Eric is happy to follow his lead. As hot as they are you can sense it's more than just lust. Their feelings towards each other are growing. They make not only a powerful couple, but they compliment each other beautifully. Building trust and security as they open up to one another. I loved seeing them more vulnerable with their walls starting to crumble. They are still working through their issues, but now the guys must face a much worse hurdle... Seems someone is trying to keep them a part and possibly ruin them. They quickly realize the only way to put a stop to this is by working together. Will this bring them closer or ultimately tear them apart? Is their budding relationship worth the heartache and possible ridicule? JT once again leaves us with a heart stopping cliffy. Girl knows how to keep us begging for more. Bring on book 3!

Wow, again there is TONS packed into a few short pages in Play Harder, J.T. Fox doesn't mess around when telling a story. Jordan and Eric are back and sexier than ever! This review may contain spoilers for book one.

The story picks up right where Play Hard left off, the boys have been "caught" and this time around, they learn whoever it is means business. Not letting that totally distract them, Eric and Jordan take their so called relationship to the next level. Yep, that level. I loved that Jordan came out with guns a blazing, telling Eric exactly what he wants to do to him and what to do. Meager Jordan from book one is gone and one sexy man is in his place.

While trying to figure out who is taking pictures of them, Eric and Jordan still have the cheating scandal to deal with. As much as they don't want to think the other one is involved, they are on opposite teams and chatter starts to happen, swaying opinions is as easy at that.

"He might hate Jordan as much as he wanted him right now, but he couldn't rob the world of Jordan Barr's beautiful game." ~ Eric

So sweet! The book is well written from dual points of view and sexy as hell. Things go right down to the wire again this time around and we are left with a mother of a cliffhanger. I am dying to see what in the heck is going to happen to these guys next. Maybe they aren't meant to be together after all??

Well shit, I want Eric and Jordan to Play ME Harder. This book combines a blackmail scheme, a football cheating scandal and two thick cocks, which is all just enough to keep you engaged and wet. There's actually a connection forming between the two players - one that extends to a potential relationship outside of the bedroom. But they're each at risk of losing something valuable to them if the news goes public...

The drama is layered perfectly between hot and delicious sexual tension. Both men show their alpha side in scenes that left me fanning myself. I mean, seriously - how can I turn down a book that promises slamming lips and hips together and dirty demands? Answer: I CANNOT. Alpha men are my weakness - two alpha men leave me breathless.

The ending of this one is a cliffhanger - of course - and it's written in a way that leaves a ton of questions. I'm aching a little bit wondering what's going to happen.

Play Harder is a hot and sensual quick hit that had me ready to score. BOOK 3!!!!!!! NEED. 4 stars!

All the extreme love scenes and heat from the first book are somewhat downplayed in this book, the first book finished on a cliffhanger and this book basically is all about that, there is really only one love scene, not the greatest thing when you're reading an erotica story. It' still fun and easy to read but I would have liked it to match the first a little more, less sport and more bedroom (or in this case locker room) action. I think the third book will be a love scene overload as it mentioned a future love scene in this book, I can't wait for that.

T. J Fox is a really good writer, he or she, I'm not sure if it's a male or female, keeps the pace going fast and the words flowing smoothly, the characters are fully realized and you empathize with them, there are a few times that they act a little bitchy but generally they are good guys that just want to find love. Since I've started reading MM Romance i'm starting to see that the authors of this niche genre really know how to create good characters - T.J Fox is one of the best.

A fun, quick and easy read, could've used more heat but still enjoyable.

MY REVIEW
J.T. Fox what are you doing to me you cannot leave me hanging, breath held with that ending. I cant breathe my heart is racing, who is it? which one of the hotties is down?, i cant take it i need to know now!
Play Harder throws us right back into where book one left off and doesn’t miss a beat, the heat is turned up between Jordan and Eric when they finally give into the pull they have for each other the sexual tension sky rockets. I love these guys together and the connection forming between the two is going to be more than just hot sex, there is a relationship forming in the midst of a football game fixing scandal.
Throw some twist and turns and a little blackmail into the mix, a epic cliffhanger to turn it all to hell in a handbasket this book leaves you on your knees begging for more!
I think after part three comes out i will start from the beginning and read them all after each other i love Eric and Jordan so much, a job well done J.T. Fox.

Play Harder starts where Play Hard left us, with Eric and Jordan being threatened exposure. The one thing both men where so careful all these years from not being, exposed. Both men have so much to lose if their sexuality is revealed, Jordan even more than Eric. The blackmailer has chosen to contact Jordan with revealing pictures, threatening to take it public if he doesn't pay up. Eric and Jordan decide to work together to try and find out who is blackmailing them. Although they try and fight their feelings for one another, each for their own reasons, they cannot deny the undeniable pull and chemistry they have for one another. When Jordan and Eric finally allow themselves to FEEL, outsiders make Jordan question if he really knows Eric at all. Once a united front, Eric and Jordan find themselves once again on opposite sides, enemies. Can Jordan and Eric find a way back to each other? Who is blackmailing them and why? How is it all going to end?

Omg... I love Jordan & Eric.
Talk about a hot power couple! These two had me going right from the beginning of this novella!
They were so hot together!
The way they came together was just so damn hot... I had to read it twice!

There was a lot going on in this short book. The person that is blackmailing Jordan & Eric has set their demands. I have a feeling I know who it is. I can't wait to find out if I'm right!
There was a lot more of football talk in this book. I was really feeling it. Felt like I was watching a game.
I really hope Jordan and Eric work out there issues. Because When they are together... They are pretty explosive!
I really can't wait to see how it's all played out in the end. So I'm really looking forward to the last book in this series.

Jordan knew Eric was going to be trouble and after spending a wild night together, Jordan can't seem to get Eric off of his mind. But that's not the only issue. After receiving continuous threats Eric and Jordan decide to take matters into their own hands to find out who is behind it. Of course that means, spending more time together!

Just when I thought this serial couldn't get hotter, JT Fox takes us on another ride. As with Play Hard, it's developed well for such a short book. The connection between Eric & Jordan is even more intense than in book one of the serial. I seriously can't get enough of these two. There is plenty of drama and the suspense continues to build as you read. Play Harder is another quick read but the pace lagged a bit in this installment. Overall, I really enjoyed book two and I can't wait to read the final installment!

J. T Fox did it again left me wanting more of this book how this book ended almost made me throw my kindle and i said almost i love these two characters you have so much mystery and who is blackmailing them. Jason and Eric are on fire in this book loved it to the end. There are parts i think i might know who it is and then i am like maybe not. The chemistry they have together are just so hot and i feel bad because they are on opposing team makes them not want to go after what they really want and that is each other. Sometimes im like come on get it together you know how this is going to be someone well either get hurt or they will come together and forget that they are on opposing teams well love conquer all or well the love of football not let them be together only time will tell for these two. Can not wait for the next book to see what happens. Well they survive everything.

Even though these two just cant seem to get it right, I really like the both of them. In the first book Eric got on my nerves because he kept running away and not Jordan is doing it...but I just cant seem to muster up the energy to get mad at either of them. Now if this was a M/F book, I would absolutely be pissed at the Heroine...hmmmmm I seem to have a prejudice going on here...but oh well...I really do love me some M/M action. Makes me clench in all the right places ;-). Anyway...I cant wait to keep reading about these two and I hope they can start communicating. And I may have to read the last chapter again because im not sure if I just missed it or if the author made it so that I don't know who got hurt....I want the next book now...NOW!!!

HOLY WOW hot hot hot!

ARC given by the author for an honest review.

Play Harder is book 2 in a 3 part series. The book carries on from where
we were left in book 1.

Eric & Jordan have had secret fantasies about each other for years and
after one extremely hot night of passion, they both realise there is a
connection between the two. But when a blackmailer starts to demand
money, after catching the pair in a compromising situation, will this put a
stop to the secret affair they both clearly want with each other, or will
they work together to find out who is blackmailing them?

Another fantastic read by J. T. Fox and I am so excited for book 3 in the
series to see if Eric & Jordan get their happy ever after.

All I can say is wow!

This book started where book one left off, only better because this went straight into a hot, steamy sex scene that brought back Eric and Jordan's hot need and lust for each other but still trying not to let anyone else in their football lives know...... But someone does and is ready to spill the beans and bring it all crushing down on them before it has a chance to start!

I'm loving this book and I'm growing to love the characters as well (Both sound Hot). This author just gets you gripped on the storyline and then leaves you hanging on a cliff hanger! This is good, in a way because it leaves you needing more, BUT I’m impatient and I need it like yesterday!!! I'm intrigued to read the last book to find out if they get their HEA lets hope it's not too long.....

4.5 Stars

Pure Hot, raw sex that was so alpha male it was leaking testosterone through the ereader. This was the first 10%.

It picks up the story where we left off, it is a series and a really good one, it has all I like in a book, well written, a storyline, this one is a mystery and I was stunned at the ending! Not expecting it at all. A good cliffhanger. And damn hot sex scenes between two hunks, of men.

The characters continue to develop personally, as well as this plot. I am not saying anything else as the story is a mystery, a great second in the series. Very much looking forward to the third and final.

J.T Fox has exploded onto my radar, I enjoy her writing. Look forward to another series and or genre in the future also.

Play Harder is the second book in a trilogy of novellas, so as such, you will need to read these in order for them to make sense.

Play Harder involves two alpha male football players who have both hidden that they are gay. There is a blackmail attempt, confusion, intrigue, a game-fixing scandal to sort out, plus will these ever see past their differences?

Well written, the same as Play Hard, and with a fast pace, this novella presses all the right buttons and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the third and final instalment. Definitely recommended.

* I received this book from Gossip Girl Promotions in return for a fair and honest review. *

Their careers or their attraction can they have both? We pick up with the guys after the balcony scene, you know that sexy scene where Eric leaves Jordan right after laying one on him, and being seen. Now, they have to see not only where they stand or even if they are willing put their hearts and careers on the line.
Sexy and filled with more alpha than you can take this book is hot, hot and hotter than the first.
Jordan is domineering and sexy as he sets the pace for their first encounter, leaving Eric reeling.
Eric is not far behind taking control and a chance when he opens up more than her ever thought her would again with Jordan.
This book has sparks and twists and one hell of a cliffer that will have you screaming NOOOOOOO!
Is it February 1st yet?

Part two of this series starts where we left off, with a battle of wills and chemical reactions going off whenever Eric and Jordan are together.

They stand together in order to find out who is blackmailing them, however they cannot stop their attraction and from falling into a relationship neither are sure they are ready for.

Jordan is clearly the alpha in this relationship, however Eric does have his moments, but he also shows us his sweet caring side.

We are left with an almighty cliff hangar that will just leave you screaming for more, desperate to see what happens next with both the blackmailer and our two scorching hot men.

I cannot recommend this series highly enough.

damn! another major cliffy (which i expected) but this one seems bigger than the last! needless to say (although i'm saying it) we need part 3 right now! i'm usually not surprised in books but this one surprised me a couple of times.

these guys are really hot together and in this installment we get a bit more emotional investment from the two of them. we also get a bit more anger and mistrust. we get a better picture of what motivates these guys and they start to realize what's important to them. i'm guessing book 3 is going to have these guys truly seeing what's important in life and what just isn't.

overall this is another great installment to what stands to be a great series!
