The second book in the Record Of Lodoss War series is a entertaining exploration of the magical world that we were introduced to in the first book, the simple classical adventure of the first book is not as present here, however we are given more development for how Parn and Deedlit’s dynamic work, it’s great how convincing their fast growing relationship is while also giving us these solo development, with how they perceive the troubles of the desert region!

One side of me wanted more of the first book, more of that childhood dreamlike journey that they had, however one side of me also appreciate that the author just let that story rest and decided to show us more of the world and it’s history, in the end I enjoyed it and can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!

Hay una evolución bastante notable entre el primer libro y este segundo, por lo visto el autor se tomó mas de tiempo para realizar algo más que un juego de rol guionizado.
Mizuno intenta complejizar el mundo (bueno, la isla) de Lodoss con leyendas y elementos sobrenaturales que le dan algo más de trasfondo a la aventura. Hay algo de política, Parn y Deedlit están marcados por el final de La bruja gris, tenemos algo de desarrollo de personajes y la historia se vuelve ligera y agradable.
No ganará ningún premio pero El demonio de las llamas es una clara mejora de las habilidades de Mizuno como escritor, me hubiese gustado leer el tercer tomo, pero no está en ningún idioma que entienda, lastima.

Meio decepcionante, levando em conta como o primeiro livro foi divertido de ler. Mas decente.
