Jasper Jenkins was a solitary Gargoyle, feeling like he didn’t truly belong to a clan, until he moved to New Atlanta and joined the Stone Society. Now that he’s finally settling in, his past has reared its evil Gargoyle head and is targeting those around him, including the quirky M.E.’s assistant who happens to be his mate.

Trevor McKenzie’s life is no stranger to heartache and loneliness. His insecurities began when he found out he was cloned just in case his brother needed spare parts. As danger closes in, his boss confides in him that the “badass club” of gorgeous men he is surrounded by is really a Clan of Gargoyles. When he finds out he’s the chosen mate of the man he considers his best friend, the most gorgeous of the badasses, his insecurities multiply. Trevor must decide if he can trust the love being offered him is real and not just a product of the mate bond.

Reaching back to his warrior roots, Jasper will stop at nothing to protect his mate as well as his Clan.

Warning: This book contains a relationship between a very male Gargoyle and a very male human.

Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)

Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.

Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.

When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.

OK, so I DNF this - and NOT because it was bad, but because I was like 40% into the story and I still had NO clue what was going on, and I literally didn't care about any of the characters except Jasper and Trevor so I didn't want to read about anyone else LOL

A lot of times when an author has a m/f series and there's a random m/m story thrown in, I can figure out what's happened and deal with it. That was not the case with this one. Even though there was some explanation at the beginning over the gargoyles, the other couples, the bad guys, etc. I was still pretty lost. And I felt like there was a lot of interaction between Jasper and Trevor as far as them becoming friends that happened in the previous stories that I missed out on.

The writing itself seemed fine, and I'm sure that if I had read the 5 previous stories I would have enjoyed this one. This is definitely one of those "best if read in order" type of series, since it seems like a lot of things build on top of another.

No rating b/c I don't want to give it a bad rating b/c it wasn't bad, it's just not for someone who has never read the series.

For most of his life, Jasper has been on his own. Separated from his family, he didn’t really feel like he belonged to anyone for such a long time. Moving to New Atlanta has given him the family he’s been missing. He’s even discovered he has a mate; a human named Trevor McKenzie. Jasper was surprised the fates had deemed Trevor his mate. He hadn’t known of any same sex mates in Gargoyle history, and he was so happy with the news.

If you’ve read the previous Stone Society books, you know that Jasper and Trevor are best friends. Like Jasper, Trevor has been a solitary soul. He’s been hurt in his past, and has been fighting self-esteem issues. How on earth could someone like Jasper be attracted to Trevor. Once Trevor finds out he’s Jasper’s mate, he thinks Jasper only wants him because his gods have decided it. That couldn’t be further from the truth, but Jasper doesn’t want to scare Trevor off, so he’s taking his time as he gets used to being Jasper’s mate. If Trevor decides they will only be friends, Jasper is fine with that. He doesn’t want to lose his best friend, and will take Trevor any way he can have him.

Evil from Jasper’s past comes to New Atlanta, and not only Trevor is targeted, but all the mates of the Goyles. The Clan closes ranks, and works to protect their family—humans included. The Gargoyles prepare for war, and Jasper will do whatever he has to do to protect Trevor.

Like the previous books in this series, I love the strong family connection shown. Starting this book, I kinda had a small crush on Jasper, but now I’m in love with him. He was such a patient and sweet soul with Trevor. But put anyone in his family in danger, and he’s one (of many) Gargoyles you don’t want to piss off. There’s a lot of action, and Faith knows her way around some hot and steamy love scenes. I think Jasper may be my favorite right now, but I expect Faith to make me rethink that with more of her great stories.

Like each book in this series, Faith puts a lot of story in this book without it feeling squeezed in.

Jasper is the sixth book in the Stone Society series.

I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 5 stars.

What can I say about Jasper other than I really loved this book. Faith Gibson I think your books just keep getting better and better. Jasper is the 6th book in the Stone Society Series.

I think the Stone Society series is a MUST read. I never thought about Gargoyles as being such sexy, cute and hunky Alpha’s but they are! The reading order is: Rafael, Gregor, Dante, Frey, Nikolas and now Jasper.

There is a little WARNING on Jasper that Faith includes:
Warning: This book contains a relationship between a very male Gargoyle and a very male human. So if this isn’t your thing you might want to bypass this book. But, you will be missing an integral part of this series. But, don’t miss out on the other books in this series. I never thought I would love a book that had a Gargoyle as the romance lead. I mean Vampires, Wolves, and whatever else have been leads in romance books why not Gargoyles! I am in love with Gargoyles, this series and the author!

As in all my reviews I don’t like rewriting the Synopsis. I feel the authors have written the best one. We have caught glimpses of Jasper Jenkins in some of the other Stone Society Series books but, this is his & Trevor McKenzie's story. And, what a story it is! I loved beginning, middle & the ending of this book. It is going to be so hard waiting until the next book comes out in this series. Thank you for no cliffhanger and for a book that lets you know this series will continue. And, no I can’t tell you about the ending you will need to read that for yourself.

I was gifted a copy of Jasper for an honest review but, I have my copy of Jasper on Pre-Order now. As always I have bought a copy of the books after they have been published. That is how much I love this series. I give Jasper 5+ stars.

Jasper Jenkins is one of the younger Gargoyle in the Stone Society, but he is a Goyle with a secret past. A past that comes back to not only haunt but terrorize him and his mate. Being the only openly gay member of the New Atlanta clan Jasper is beyond thrilled when he discovers the fates have chosen him a mate. Unfortunately for him, his mate is a human and not yet open about his own sexuality nor is he aware of the existence of the Gargoyle.

Trevor McKenzie is the assistant Medical Examiner and works along side full-blood Gargoyle and member of the Stone Society, Dante Di Pietro in the morgue. He considers himself a loner and his only friends to be his brother Travis and the bodies that lay on his slab. That is until he meets the "badass" police detective Jasper Jenkins. The two form a friendship and while Trevor feels the pull to Jasper he has no idea that is the pull of the mate bond. As the story unfolds, Trevor learns the truth of the Gargoyle and the "league of badases" (otherwise known as the Stone Society) and is thrust into their world when the demons from Jasper's past come back with a vengeance.

I say it with every new edition of the Stone Society Series, and I am thrilled to say it again, Jasper is my new favorite story in the series (but Frey is till my favorite Goyle). Jasper's story has been building throughout the series and I have been (rather impatiently) waiting to learn more about this sexy ginger Goyle.

Faith Gibson's storytelling and imagination are on point in this book. She reaches back into the past some 400+ years in Ireland and brings us back into the future of New Atlanta and she does it beautifully. As she relates the details of Jasper's life in the old world, I imagined myself a spectator on the sidelines in awe of the scene before me.

That being said, Jasper is more than just a kick@ss action packed, paranormal read, it's also a sexy love story. Some readers may be hesitant to read a M/M romance, but I assure you, the respect, devotion and love between Jasper and Trevor transcends labels and is on par with any of today's more "traditional" M/F love stories.

While Jasper is a part of the Stone Society Series, there is enough backstory within this book to read as a standalone if you haven't read the first five yet. Although I would ask, what you are waiting for? I urge anyone with a passion for well written stories to pick up your copy of Jasper today, you will not be disappointed. As I read the last words of Jasper, I began to itch for the next installment of the Stone Society and I know that author Faith Gibson will once again take me on a journey full of excitement and adventure.

**I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am not gay, but I enjoyed the book

I was hesitant about reading the book, but I have read and like mfm books along with the fact, i really like the character Jasper. A lot occurred in this book, plot wise and that is the main reason I wanted to read the book. I did not want to miss anything in regards to the story unfolding in this series. Yes, there are intimate sex scenes in this book. In all honesty, I feel like they (Jasper and Trevor) were like any other couple. When they were together romantically, it was very easy to forget it was a gay couple. They were just like any other couple being intimate. The only time I was like eww, was when the author described rimming. But this occurs with heterosexual couples too, it is just my dislike of that sexual activity. Overall, I felt this book was instrumental to the series because it leads to a major decision by Rafael.

************************SPOILER PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE GOING TO READ THE BOOK**************
***THIS IS ONLY FOR THE READERS WHO WILL NOT READ THIS BOOK DUE TO IT BEING A BOOK ABOUT A GAY COUPLE *************

This is a complete recap about what happened in the book, so that you are prepared for the next book in the series. Before I start, I hope you would read the book and skip over the live scenes, however, if you still do not want to read it, please continue reading.

As you know Trevor and Jasper are mates and Trevor is insecure with himself. In the past, Jasper was born and raised in Ireland. His real name is Phelam Odonnel. He was caught as a young lad being lustful toward the son of the king. The king demanded him to be executed. However, the father did not want to lose the labor and loss of income his son would have provided. So he sold him into slavery. Luckily a good clan raised him. The new clan was killed by the English so Jasper became a lonely nomad. While in Greece, while being the apprentice out a fisherman, Theron approached Jasper. He enticed with becoming a clan member which would give him family and then he started a relationship with Jasper. Jasper was a virgin in all ways when it came to relationships. He did not know what to expect nor knew what was normal. Theron started out as just being dominant and aggressive. Jasper did not break up with him, think of a domestic violence situation. Theron got worst and continued with his mental and physical abuse to the point where he tied him up brutally causing severe pain, in which Jasper suffered for days. When he finally escaped from the situation Jasper changed his name from Phelam to Jasper and moved to the states. Of course, Theron missed Jasper because he fought him while tied and being a gargoyle he could tolerate a lot of abuse. He hated and despised the fact that Jasper was having relations with a human. So, he killed several people and targeted Trevor in the hopes of drawing Jasper out. He did trick Jasper and injectex him with a poison and then leaving him tyed up in the pain induced position from the past. The poison paralyzed him and locked his shifter side up. Luckily, Lilly from New Orleans is a witch and was able to heal him. Afterwards, Jasper and Trevor mated and Trevor started to gain self confidence. Theron went back home in the interim and left his sister and Sergi behind to tie up and loose ends. Uri captured both. Isabelle hit Kassirto (I think that is the name and spelling - it is Theron's sister) for the kidnapping and then Dominic Lilly's mate, tied her up like thereon did, but without the pain. Then they sent the pictures to Theron. Theron returned to fight Jasper. Rafael told Jasper it was okay to kill Theron knowing it would officially start a clan war. Jasper did kill Theron. They sent Sergi home with the picture of Kallisto and the dead body of Theron, informing the king that they would return his daughter if he called a truce to the war. Otherwise, his daughter will remain a prisoner. Casper returns to his roots for closure. He found out that his father had past away and he had a 6 month old sister. His mother wanted to die because her mate was dead. She pleaded with Jasper to take her daughter to raise, so that she could pass on. So, Jasper and Trevor took her home to be raised as their daughter. Of course, there was more to the story, but these were the most important parts. Now at least you will be caught up for the next book. However, I really hope you would still read the book. Even though, I provided most of the details, nothing compares to what the author wrote and the feelings she generated while reading.

1 Bad Guy Down!

As I don't read a lot of m/m books this was done very well.

Jasper is a detective for New Atlanta & has met his mate in Trevor who is the assistant to Dante, the M.E. but, his courtship of Trevor has been messed up with people from his past.

Trevor is like a very shy geek with low self-esteem & doesn't believe at 1st that Jasper really likes him & doesn't really find out about the gargoyles until the end of the last book (book 5). Trevor's also unsure if he even wants to mate with Jasper once he does find out about the Clan.

This book gives the reader a lot of background information on what Jasper's life has been like & how he came to know Theron, Alistair's son (Alistair is the relative that's been causing all the mate trouble & he was in Dante's book). Eventually, both Jasper & Trevor become close but then Theron get between them again by not only hurting Trevor's brother Travis but poisoning Jasper as well.

This was a very good book & an HEA story that you will have to read in order to find out what happens in this book because I'm not going to tell you what happens next. Now, onto the next book in this series.

Trevor and Jasper are great! I rather enjoyed this couple.

This book, as others, isn't without some plot holes. I've already finished the whole series, so I don't remember exactly when it happens but the way Jasper joins the police force and becomes a detective is so beyond realistic it isn't funny. He has no experience as a cop at all. He was a fireman in California but obviously isn't using that experience since he can't admit to that age. He just applies and never has any training to be a cop much less a detective. And later, he becomes lead detective. I know she needed Jasper to become a detective right away but why not just give him some past experience so it would be feasible??

I love this clan as a whole and love seeing the couples coming together.

I recommend most of the books in this series. I think there are only one or two after this point I didn't enjoy as much. I didn't like Sin much. I don't like his lady. I also didn't like books 3 or 4 all that much. Although, part of that was I didn't like Tessa but she became much more tolerable as the series progressed. (I I have finished it now.)

The one I Have been Waiting For!

Jasper has met his mate, and it is no surprise that Trevor is the next one to have to survive the call of his feelings. Each book in Faith's Stone Society series has provided entertainment, but Jasper's heartache and emotional torment, as a gargoyle, and as he goes through the trial of finally finding, then trying to keep his mate safe, plus bringing him into the clan, is the thread of the first five books that has had me anxiously awaiting their story.

I love a HEA but Jasper has had to endure so much to get to it. Well worth the wait for Jasper's story!

The best, sweetest one yet.

I understand some would not appreciate man love but really this is one of the sweetest stories. It takes a bit to get Trevor to finally hear Jasper's side of the story but once he did, Trevor began to come around. Theron turns out to be more evil than we thought. Travis hits a very bad time and with the help of the clan will eventually be okay. Jasper was so patient with his mate. He was willing to just be in Trevor's life as a friend. I really like Lorenzo and Urijah. Sixx has a rough time ahead of him. Loved seeing Com and Lilly. This is a must read. Absolutely loved it!!!!

Jasper and Trevor bring out the best in each other

This series is incredible.
This book is m/m so some people may not enjoy it but I did. It brings quite a bit of things forward to get ready for the next book plus shows us a bit about other relationships that have already happened.
Jasper has known that Trevor was his mate and wanted to get to know each other slowly. But thanks to an evil gargoyle from his past named Theron, Trevor ran from him. Now they have a chance to talk and the truth comes out.
But the past isn't staying buried as Theron starts coming after Trevor, his brother Travis and many other innocent people in order to get Jasper back.

Normally I'm not into same sex romance (just don't appeal to me) but Faith Gibson grabbed me by the ears and pulled me into this series and made me love this book and these characters. I was rooting for Jasper and Trevor like 2 books before. Trevor was just so cute and vunerable and felt like he had nothing for anyone to love. Casper being so old and his past romantic encounters as well as his family history was so lonely and yet wanted nothing more than to be loved. So glad I took a chance and tried this series.

Beautiful and amazing story!

Love this story! Jasper is such a wonderful character. He's tormented, loving, open minded, understanding...just awesome. Learning about his past and how it's shaped his present and future was a journey. Trevor is insecure and filled with self doubt about his value as anything other than a clone. Together they are able to overcome anything that comes along. Trevor provides the strength that Jasper needs. It was great seeing how the clan has evolved into a huge living family that faces problems together.

I had my reservation s about reading this book because it was based on Jasper and Trevor his mate. I haven't ever read a MM book before. But I knew that Faith Gibson is an awesome author and that she would write a good story. There was twists and turns that kept me guessing how this book would end. I loved the way that past characters were written in and it helped make the story believable. This is love story I really enjoyed reading. Great job Faith you kept me intrigued throughout the entire book.

Beautiful and full of love!

At first I was unsure if I wanted to read the unusual story of two strong and handsome men becoming mates. The way she wrote this story is so beautiful and full of the normal Stone Society action yet tells of the love embraced by two men. Not at all what I expected it to be. I really wanted to kick Trevor in the behind for his lack of self esteem but Kaspersky stories and love brought him to an awareness that proved the love conquers all!!! A must read in the series!!!

Great romance

Ok, I am a lover of romance and HEA, regardless of the sex, race, color, etc of the two or more individuals involved. I started this series and have loved every book so far. I normally do not read MM books but the ones I have have been great and this one is no exception. I recommend this series for those who enjoy romance with twists and turns as well as some chaos. Every character I have a deep love for and wish I was part of their family. Thank you for the feels, the entertainment, and the interesting plots. 😍

Anyone else is Jasper’s past. You are his future. 5 GOLD WINGS

the man – make that Gargoyle – was a god. HOLY GARGOYLES, GIBSON!!! Faith, you have done it yet again!! For the sixth wondrous time you have had me living life with The Stone Society, catching up with my Stone family & the Clan, meeting new Goyles and sharing their adventures!! And when they each meet & then woo their Mates, I am right there with them, laughing, cheering, praying, cursing, loving and even crying both for and AS each hunky, sexy, loyal & FANGTABULOUS Gargoyle! Even though every couple has gone on one helluva journey in order to find, convince then claim & mate their Mate, Jasper's affected me on a different, more deeper level. I don't know if it is because of it being a male/male romance, or because they are both scarred mentally & emotionally, needing a friend and each other, but not knowing how to do just that. Maybe because essentially they are both virgins in one way or another. Or is it because we have been following these characters from the beginning, getting to know them, liking, then loving them, watching & waiting for them to take that GOYLEGANTIC next step? Perhaps it’s because Faith has such an EXTRAGOYLENARY way with words that you can’t help but become one with each & every character and book?! It is because of ALL of those reasons and more!! While I found this book to be more raw, more emotional, more heart breaking & heart wrenching than the others, I also found it to be more touching, tender and heart-warming, making the ending a GOYLETACULAR one! The fact that Jasper's mate is Trevor didn't 'phase' me in the least, in fact, it made for one GOYLETASTIC story that I couldn't put down! I sure learnt a LOT!! wink LOL I have to say that Faith did a beautiful job with their story, making it as exceptional as they are! The history of both Jasper & Trevor was horrific, to say the least, but I also think that is what brings them together too! There are so many things I want to mention or comment on - like Travis, Trevor's parents, The Goyle Clan, Connor, etc. but I can't without giving something, too much away! Suffice it to say that Faith has once again created one GARGOYLESOME story and is both a WINGTASTIC addition & continuation of this SHIFTACULAR series! Faith bring this series to life in such a way that I can’t PAWSIBBLY find the words to even explain it!! The way that the stories are written, the order, the detail and attention to detail, the complexity of the storylines, the large cast of characters & how each book flows from one to the next, all perfectly create this STONETACULAR series! Then take how they intersect, cross-over and share some of the same time lines, time frames and situations, but in each story they are told from that characters point of view/their side of the story, how & when the past is revealed, etc. not only deeply enriches the stories, it is also PURE GENIUS on Faith's part!! It draws you into the story, brings the characters to life, the story to life and before you know it you are so lost in the story you have no idea where you end and where the characters & story begin! But don’t worry! Faith’s phenomenal talent and gift for creating & crafting these GARGOYLELICIOUS books & the Stone Society series as a whole, allow for all of this to be going on WITHOUT it being too much, too confusing or losing you. Well, other than losing yourself amongst these STONETASTIC characters and their world, of course! Wink I can honestly say that it captivates, enthrals & holds me spellbound like no other! It truly consumes me mind, body, spirit & soul, putting both Faith and her Gargoyles in a stratosphere all their own! In case you couldn’t tell, I ABSO-FANG-LUTELY love, Love, LOVE this Stone Society series!!! The way the stories are told, the characters both human, “half & half’s”, the Shifters, their mates, the evil, drama and everything else in between is so expertly & perfectly told that you cannot possibly read any of these books and NOT get submersed into the storylines! Faith truly is one astronomically talented and genuinely gifted author! With every one of these books, I have been swept away to a future time with these hunky, sexy Gargoyle bodyguards, riding shotgun with them as they rid the world of evil, cheering & crying as they meet & claim their mates! The quickest & easiest way to explain just HOW MUCH I love this book and HOW CONSUMED I am by it & in it - I made no notes, no highlights, no potential lines to quote to open my review with, nothing for my review - nada! zip! zilch! NOTHING! I opened the book and was instantly swept away, back to the World of The Stone Society Clan where my Gargoyles live, fight, protect, laugh, play, love & mate! I couldn't ask for anything more! Well, I could - like 50 more SS books or for my very own Gargoyle mate - but that is just being greedy!! Wink From the second I 'met' her on fb, I knew Faith was special and would be an author I would be following FOREVER!!! Here we are at book 6 (BOOK 6!! HOW CRAZY AWESOME IS THAT!!?!) and not only do I love her stories and characters to bits, but her as well!! Back before Rafael (book 1) came out, when I first “discovered” Faith, I could never have predicted just how much I would love both her and her books!! Faith has come to mean more to me than “just” an author! She truly is my Hero! My Super Hero!

Happier than an HEA by the end

I'm not into M&M romances, but have looked both main characters through the other books. I have to say this book was excellent. Even though Theron was killing innocents to get his message to Jasper, and attacking Trevor's brother, it just showed the evil in his soul. The last few chapters closed some loops, and the ending was sad and beautiful at the same time.

Now why couldn't this be an audiobook? It's Awesome!

Okay I must say this was the best book in the series so far. I may be a little bias since Jasper was mentioned in all the previous novels, and he had such a hard life. I am happy he got his happily ever after. I will continue to read the rest of the series. If you haven't listen please do, the narrator does an excellent job.

A bit of a harder read for me, not that I'm homophobic, just not that much into male on male sex. There was quite a bit. I was happy to see the progression in the story and the characters, so of course I kept reading. I knew what I was getting I to before I started, just didn't need all the descriptive sex scenes. I know that's hypothetical, since I like them when it's MF. All that said, I made it through, glad I did, to keep the characters and their stories evolving.

Jasper is book 6 in the Stone Society series and I think so far Jasper might be my favorite of the Gargoyles so far. This book is everything you expect from the author of this series. I think each book is just getting better and better. I finished this book in one day because once I started I could not put it down. I recommend this series.

Fantastic read!

I have never been into shifter books, but these are so good. I love Jasper and Trevor. Everything they go through is a battle. Trevor is hesitant about the whole bonding thing. Jasper knows Trevor is the one, from the fates or not. This book is just amazing. Must read.

Nice read

This one was nice I enjoyed it. Hoping to read about Trev and Phelam in other books and their new baby girl. The one thing that I dislike though is the pace everything happened to fast and some parts lacked depth, also I need better description of the characters other that hot and badass.

This one didn’t hold my interests quite as much as the first few in the series. I don’t mind MM at all it wasn’t that. The story just didn’t have enough meat on the bone even though we’ve been watching Jasper and Trevor dance around each other in previous books. This won’t deter me from continuing on in the series however. I’m looking forward to reading Sixx’s adventure in the next installment.

I usually don’t read MM stories

Ok. This is not my genre but I’ve read all the other stories in the series so I was already invested in this couple. Jasper has had an incredible hard life, Trevor’s wasn’t exactly a picnic either. This was a great story. I thoroughly recommend it even if male/male love stories aren’t your cup of tea.

Good series

Faith is a good author I am enjoying the series. Some more than others this one was good for someone who is not used to the genre. I like gay romance for some reason and have read alot of it. So it was a nice mix. Could have been more intimate but still showed a great relationship.

I gave it 4 stars because I'm not into LGBTQ+ stories, but I needed it because it continued the storyline with the king of the Greeks. It really wasn't bad. I know more about male gay sex than I want to now, but it was a good story and I found that love is love no matter the gender of the couples and Jasper and Trevor are now two of my favorite characters.

Fantastic series

This series is a must read! I can't put the book down once I start reading. Wonderful characters that follow through out the series. Great plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommended

Trevor and Jasper

What can I say but these are some lucky mates and warm harder gargoyles. It goes to show that if you love long enough the right person will come along and for you perfectly.
