Every rebel needs a cause—and a woman to believe in. Discover why Heidi McLaughlin raves that “the sexy, alluring bad boys of the True Brothers MC will make your mouth water” in this smoldering novel from the author of Ruthless.

The black-leather-clad biker who just roared up on his Harley doesn’t resemble any single father Emily Clark has ever known. But as she watches “Reb” bonding with his son, Emily realizes there’s a lot more to this bad boy than his alpha-male attitude or his sinful good looks. And when Reb takes an interest in her, there’s no way she can resist his surprisingly tender touch. The one thing Emily won’t give up is her hard-won independence.

As president of the True Brothers MC, Reb owes a sacred debt of loyalty to the club, but his first priority is making sure that his son grows up right. Pursuing an unexpected affair with Emily is a close second. Then a violent stalker threatens her life, and this unconventional guardian angel really turns up the heat. Nobody messes with Reb, or anyone under his protection. Trouble is, how’s he supposed to defend Emily when she insists on going it alone? He’s willing to put his life on the line for her. Now, maybe, he needs to open his heart.

Rebellious is the 2nd book in the True Brothers MC series. It can be read as a standalone no problem. I didn't read book 1 and I had no problem following Reb and Emily's story. Rebellious was a pretty good read but I felt like it was missing something. Depth! I think it needed to be longer and then I would have been able to enjoy it more. It kinda felt rushed and more superficial. I would have liked to have gotten more in depth with the main couple and their relationship. I liked both Reb and Emily what little bit I knew of them. Reb was bossy, sexy and protective of those he cared for. Emily was damaged, having lived an abusive relationship. She was independent, brave, but a little naive. I liked the author's writing style. I think Gillian Archer did a great job at making the bikers hard but still likable. For me it's a hard line to walk with MC books. I want my bikers loyal and not cheaters but not sissies either and the author gave me that. Overall this was a good quick read that while I enjoyed it would have been better had it been longer!

All Emily Clark wants to do when she gets home from work is pop a couple pills to help with her headache and relax in front of the TV. Unfortunately life has other plans for her when she finds a neighbor's son sitting on the front steps of their building with a bag of junk food. Knowing Tucker doesn't have the best mother and wanting to avoid calling the cops and having Tucker go into foster care, they set out to find Tucker's dad. This leads Emily to the True Brothers MC clubhouse and REB, Tucker's dad and Prez of the club. One look at the big bad biker has Emily feeling ALL sorts of things she shouldn't. Will the innocent librarian be be able to stay away from the big bad wolf of a biker, and will the said big bad biker let her run?

description

When I requested this I wasn't aware this was book two of a series. In anycase, I wasn't lost in the least and can safely say that this could be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this one. It sort of falls in between "gritty" and "MC fluff" These guys are not really nice guys, They do bad shit and they don't make excuses for it. Club business is none of their old ladies business and they straight up let them know that. If you are looking for a fluffy bunny biker, then this book isn't for you. That said, these guys are loyal and love HARD.

description

I found both characters to be really likable. Emily comes with a lot of baggage, and because of that I forgave her some of the back and forth behavior she had going on. There wasn't really any pushing away per se. More her taking a break to figure things out. For most of the book Reb is actually married, but had kicked his bitch of a wife out a year previously. She is just using custody of Tucker to drag things out. At some points I would get a sore neck at the whiplash inner feelings Reb had. This is a very insta-lust book and Reb is all "mine" from word go most of the book. At times though his inner thoughts were not exactly running along the same lines. At points he would say "he's never letting her go" and then in his thoughts he would say "he'll protect her as long as this lasts" It wasn't over the top annoying, but distracting enough that I noticed it.

I was also confused about their first meeting. It reads like these are two people who JUST meet each other for the first time. Later in the book though you find out that they ALREADY know each other having had some interaction a year previously when the Emily's BFF (heroine from book one) was in the hospital. This confused me to be honest. I would think that we would have gotten some indication during their meeting at the beginning that they at least knew OF each other. In anycase, that was just a small issue in an otherwise really entertaining read.

Overall I really enjoyed this one. It had a few minor problems, and I wished it had a better epilogue, but I assume we'll hear more from this couple in upcoming books. Two thubs up from yours truly...

I was so excited when I got this book! Gillian Archer left an impression with the first book, Ruthless. I'm finding that I'm a huge fan of the True Brothers MC. Zag from Ruthless is a tough man to beat and he'll probably always be my favorite, but Rebel sure came close. He's the Prez, the top dog at True Brothers MC and that alone is hawt! The fact that he is described as huge and built more like a football player cinched it for me. Shallow, I know. I mentioned in my review of Ruthless that I hoped Gillian Archer would pair up one of Jessica's best friends with a True Brother for her next book and I got my wish.

Emily has a new neighbor. The woman is hateful but she can't help but fall for her 8 year son. The poor kid is left to his own devices more than he should be. Emily finds Tucker sitting on the complex steps, locked out of the apartment with no idea when his mom will come home one too many times. She knows she has to do something about it so she coaxes Tucker into telling her where his dad is and drives him over to the True Brothers MC clubhouse. If it wasn't for Tucker she would turn right back around and go home. Emily is determined to talk to his dad and hope that he steps up to the plate for his boy. Little did she know is that Tucker's dad is Rebel, the Prez to the MC club her best friends boyfriend belongs too.

This book was entertaining. You have little, ole Emily who's scared of her own shadow go up against big, bad Rebel to try and protect Tucker from his mothers negligence. Rebel takes one look at Emily and he knows she will belong to him. Throw in the crazy soon to be ex wife and a rival MC club making waves and you got a recipe for disaster!

4 1/2 stars. Coming home from a long day at work Emily see's Tucker a kids who lives in her apartment complex sitting outside his door alone with a bag of food. This isn't unusual unfortunately, not wanting Tucker sitting alone outside for who knows how long Emily invites him in for pizza. When it becomes obvious Tuckers mom isn't coming home Emily starts asking Tucker about his dad, Finding out he's at work Emily decides to go meet Tucker's father and get Tucker to him. Driving into a shady part of town Emily starts to worry and when they end up at Zag's MC her best friends finance Emily starts wondering if this is the best place for Tucker.

Seeing Tucker's dad Emily is instantly attracted to him but more importantly Emily wants to make sure that Tucker will be safe with his dad and also that he knows what's been going on for too long now with Tucker. Seeing his son with the beautiful friend of Jessica Reb is very confused and when she starts throwing attitude his attraction to her just grows. Then she tells him what his ex has been up to and he is furious. Not wanting her to get away Reb gets her to his house and "convinces" her to stay.

After that night neither wants to deny the attraction but Reb had no plans of ever getting into a relationship again after the disaster that was Rhonda his ex(tucker's mom) and Emily has her own broken past with rejection and hurt littering her life, but the longer they spend together the less these obstacles seem to matter. Being with Reb and Tucker Emily is happier than she has ever been but not everything is easy Reb is in a bitter custody battle and Emily's past is coming back to haunt her. Now all Reb can think about is keeping this woman who has turned into his whole world safe and by his side.

I really enjoyed book one, I liked the story and the characters and the authors voice. But this book was really amazing. I was hooked from he first page, the beginning scene with Tucker and Emily had me hooked and I was till the very end of this book. I loved Emily she is sweet and strong but her past has left its scars on her. Rev was amazing, rough around the edges but very possessive and kind and understanding as well as a great dad. Tucker was so cute in this book. I love that we are seeing more and more when kids are in books they aren't just cute little additions to throw in a book, they are actually characters that add something which is exactly what Tucker was.

The story was really great in this one I loved the twist, though I kind of guessed it, We get a great hea in this book which includes follow up with Zag and Jessica(the couple from book one). We also get to see other characters we met in book one as well as a ton of new ones. I love how this series is growing and it just keeps getting better. I can't wait to see who book three is about. If you haven't read book one you can easily read book two without being confused, or lost. Yes if you read book one first you will get more back story but you can just as easily skip right to this book.

I didn't really have any problems with this book, there were two small things that bugged me but they didn't take me out of the story and they weren't anything that made me want to stop reading. The first was that the author used letters to describe things which was strange, and maybe that was just in the ARC copy. I know that many times things change from ARC copy to final copy. But I am talking about A for an*al, and kind of small again not big just weird and maybe not even in the final copy. My other issue which some may say I am picking about, and yes this is total preference but like I said I'm sure many will think I'm being too picky and I'm ok with that.

I really liked this one, as I said above I liked book one but I liked this one even more. I will definitely be reading book three, not only because I am liking this world and all the characters but I am really enjoying the authors writing and voice in this series. I highly recommend this book, and book one for any MC lover or romance lover.

Great second book.

So excited to see Jess's friend Emily from the first book get her HEA. Reb is the prez of the True Brothers who we also met in the first book (and his soon to be ex-wife who a serious bunch of cray-cray). They were great together plus really hot in the bedroom. I loved how sweet the big gruff biker was with Emily. Tucker is a great kid despite who his mom is. This book takes place after Jess and Zag's book but before the epilogue. Finally find out why Emily has to wear a cardigan at the wedding.

I'm hoping the next book is Jess and Emily's friend, Nicole, and that she hooks up with Tank.

Big bad biker and little librarian, it doesn’t get any better than this. This is what my kryptonite looks and tastes like. I loved it almost as much as the first book. Strong alpha hero, motorcycle club, sexy times, more of the secondary characters from book one and an eight year old. I may have found a new favorite author.

DNF at 80%- I've gotten pickier and picker about the MC reads I spend my time on. I knew pretty early on this wasn't going to be stellar but in the end I just couldn't get through it. No real issue with the writing, just overall pretty meh with a side of yawn and a sprinkle of cheese. It looks like I'm in the minority here but I just didn't like it.

This book starts a few months before the epilogue in Ruthless takes place which helped explain one thing that had me confused during the epilogue. This book had so much going on, Reb was separated from Rhonda and trying to divorce her but they had to work out custody of Tucker first, even after that nasty comment that Rhonda had made about Reb not being Tucker's father (biotch) in Ruthless. Emily is the epitome of a "Good Girl" even when she wants nothing more to do than go into her house and relax after a hard day she does the right thing by taking her neighbor's son that is locked out of his apartment to his dad's place of business so that he is not outside alone waiting for his mom to show up.

The chemistry between Reb and Emily was rockin like his harley. I couldn't get enough of these two, now it may be because I went from reading Ruthless right into Rebellious and wanted more of the bad boy biker and the good girl, or it may be because they just had the perfect chemistry regardless if the first book was read or not. Either way I loved Reb and Emily together.

Resilient: A True Brothers MC Novel is the next book in the series I really wish there was a blurb somewhere about who the book is going to be about. Is Nicole going to hook up with one of the men from The True Brothers MC? Or will it be about Tank or Axel finding their HEA's? Only time will tell but I will be on the lookout for Resilient: A True Brothers MC Novel which is scheduled to be released in May 2017.

This was not as good as the first book of the series. I didn't really like Reb and Emily well I just don't know what to say.

I just didn't feel the chemistry between them. There was no spark. They kinda felt forced instead of destined for each other. Emily would go on and on about him being controlling and harsh, but just fall back into bed with him without even a blink of an eye. Why even go there then?

There is lots of sex, but again I didn't connect with the main characters so it wasn't so hot and at the end I just skimmed it. There was just something missing. It didn't pull me in.

BOOK REVIEW: Rebellious
BOOK SERIES: True Brothers MC #2
AUTHOR: Gillian Archer
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
PUBLICATION DATE: September 13, 2016
CLIFF HANGER: No

4 Stars

SYNOPSIS:

MY THOUGHTS:
This is the second book in the True Brother’s MC series and you don’t have to read the first book to enjoy this one. I love all MC romances from the gritty, raw, down and dirty, criminal 1% to the legal activity, rough, alpha biker romance. This book takes on the latter. If you want an MC read with a very sexy alpha biker that falls in love with a with a beautiful, feisty and independent school librarian, then this is the book for you.

Emily is still paying off her student loans after getting her master’s degree. She lives in a crappy apartment and drives a crappy car and at times works two jobs. She is a librarian at the middle school and works at the local bookstore to make ends meet. Emily had a rough start in life having parents that were low life’s and she ended up in the foster care system until she made friends with Jessica, who is currently engaged to Zag, the True Brothers MC Sargent at Arms. So she is no stranger to the MC brothers.

Reb is going through a nasty divorce with the woman who is the mother of his child, Tucker. A sweet boy that often gets left to fend for himself when he’s with his mother. He ends up waiting on the steps of the apartment building where Emily lives or goes to his friend’s apartment where they feed him and let him stay over until his mother shows up. Emily adores Tucker, he such an adorable, sweet little boy and she hates that his mother neglects him. She has no idea if he has a father or not until one evening she comes home from work to find Tucker waiting on the steps with a grocery bag of junk food. His mother has left him again. Emily tries to get him to go to his friend’s apartment, but he tells her he and his family are on vacation, so he has nowhere to go. Emily is furious so she asks him about his father and finally gets Tucker to agree for Emily to take him to his father. Emily is shocked when she realizes his father is a True Brothers MC member. She calls her friend Jessica to have her boyfriend come out of the clubhouse so together they can locate Tucker’s dad.

Emily is shocked that his father is the President of the MC and he is not happy that Emily has shown up with his son. Emily explains to Reb what has been going on and he has had no idea that his soon to be ex-wife has been neglecting his son and he loses his temper. Emily is attracted to Reb, their chemistry is off the charts, but his temper scares her. She was abused by her high school boyfriend and he has continued to stalk and terrorize her. She has seen Reb around when her friend Jessica had been in the hospital in book one, so she knows of him, but that’s it.

The chemistry between Emily and Reb is unreal! He pushes all her buttons! There are some funny moments, there are plot twists and turns as Emily continues to get harassed. Reb and the MC brothers are having issues with a rival club, so Reb’s plate is full with a crazy soon to be ex that’s fighting the divorce, trying to pursue an affair with Emily, trying to get sole custody of Tucker, and the rival MC issues. This book is fast paced and it really kept me interested.

This is a sexy tender love story between a bad boy alpha biker and a feisty librarian, with some crazy action packed scenes and suspense! I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Rebellious is the second of the True Brothers MC series, and I actually have an ARC of Ruthless as well, but somehow, I read this first. I enjoyed myself, so I don't think there will be any trouble for me by not reading these in order. It's funny to me that in my books, I don't mind a man who takes charge, and maybe even acts a little bit controlling, because in real life, that just wouldn't fly. Reb is the president of the MC club, and Emily is the sweet, innocent school librarian who works at B&N during the school holiday. Emily's next-door-neighbour is Reb's ex and their 8-year-old son, Tucker. Who is very often left to his own devices, with our without a key.

The story in Rebellious is very fast-paced, and there is more going on than the incredibly steamy scenes between Reb and Emily. Tucker needed saving, and Emily was the one to bring him to his dad's place, which just so happened to be the Club, where her best friend's fiancé was a member. Now, I have no idea if real MC clubs treat their 'old ladies' or the female groupies the way they are treated in books, but the True Brothers MC guys seemed to be on par if I compare with other MC stories I have read. Quite sexist, and always in control, with a sliver of tenderness to keep the ladies wanting more - it's simply irresistible in a romantic suspense.

Between someone stalking Emily, and a rival club vandalizing Reb's house, there is more than enough suspense in Rebellious. And there is also enough substance to the story, with character development that made sense, and some real problems that had to be dealt with for Reb and Emily to truly trust each other and try to make the future a brighter place both for themselves and for Tucker. Written in first person past tense in Emily's chapters, and third person past tense from Reb's perspective, I loved both the narration and the spicy dialogues.

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Reb's gorgeous blue eyes were impossible to ignore this close to my face. "We're gonna have a little talk later tonight about those roving hands."
I winced and could feel the flush spreading over my face. "Or we could skip it and just say we did."
Reb slowly shook his head.
"Okay." I bit my lip and stood despite his hands trying to pin me down.

But still I continued down the hall toward the happy noises coming from the kitchen. Where I found REb leaning against the cabinets on the far side of the room. He straightened up slightly when he saw me, his eyes flaring with something hot.

I think that there might be something seriously wrong with me. I'm trying to figure out why I'm in love with these True Brothers so much considering that don't exactly "follow the rules" of the law. I mean, I'm down for bad boys, but they take it just a step further than my normal comfort zone. But I love them. I do. I have actually set a small space in the corner of my heart for each of these Brothers, faults and all.

In the first installment of True Brothers, we fell in love with Zeb and Jessica. In this second installment, we get to witness Reb fall in love all over again. But this time, it's with Emily, Jessica's BFF. When I first read about Reb in the first book, I actually pictured him a little older than he is. Although in his forties, I originally saw the president of the MC's more along the lines of fifties considering he was coming out of a twenty year marriage and had a young son. So I was very pleased to read that he was younger than originally thought because the thought of Reb with a young Emily wasn't gonna happen for me. LOL. I digress...

Emily lives in the same apartment complex as Rhonda, Reb's ex-wife (you know, the crazy one from the first book-still cray cray BTW). When Emily comes home to find Tucker, Reb's son sitting in front of her door for the umpteenth time, she'd had enough and drove Tucker to his father. Little did she know that Tucker's father was Reb. But when she pulls up to the clubhouse, she quickly realized what she was dealing with. Or so she thought.

Reb can't believe what's happening. Rhonda's not only crazy, but she's not even taking care of his son. So now Reb's got to find a way to speed up the custody battle to get his son quicker than the courts are allowing. But it looks like his son's savior might have a situation of her own. Looks like Emily has a stalker and Reb's not having any of that. Especially now that he's got his eye on her and isn't about to let her walk away unprotected, or at all for that matter.

This installment has a few twists and turns that even surprised me. The sex scenes between Reb and Emily are intense and extremely hot. We totally get our HEA, but it comes after some serious drama. Like, clutching the eReader and swiping the pages every ten seconds to find out what happens, drama. And every second is worth it. There's got to be another one though. There are too many Brothers that I've grown to love to NOT get their own story. Besides....Jessica and Emily's other BFF needs her HEA too, right?

Gillian Archer was a new to me author when I read the first book in this series but I loved her take on the MC genre and she has made me look forward to the rest of this series. I'm happy to say that REBELLIOUS was just as much fun to read.

Emily Clark has a soft spot for children especially those neglected, due to her own tumultuous childhood and finding her neighbor's son apparently left to his own devices is enough to ignite her ire and fuel her match into the lion's lair, in this case the clubhouse of the True Brother's MC. Turns out her young neighbor's father is the President of the MC and someone she already knows.

Reb has had his eye on Emily since one of her best friends became involved with a club member and he knows he's not in the place to purse anything with her, caught up in a messy divorce and custody battle with his ex, but one thing Reb has never done is deny himself anything.

Reb's rough lifestyle is not one that Emily imagines she can fit into with her own history, but the attraction between them, the fact that Reb is a genuinely nice and caring man and her affection for his son are all the reasons she needs to explore what's between them. With his crazy ex breathing down, their necks and trouble brewing between the True Brothers and a rival MC, can Emily and Reb find a happy ending in the midst of these issues?

Reb and Emily were very good for each other. Reb exposed a wild streak in Emily and she brought a sweetness to his life that he'd never had. I loved this story because it showed a gentle, caring and kind side to a man who is certainly not the poster child for a genteel lifestyle. His close relationship with his son was also something to love.

I'll say this again: I love this series because the author chose to emphasize the community within the MC and their friendships, instead of serving up more of the dark stuff we usually get from MC stories.

Re-read. Just as good second time around.

This is the second book in this series. I was lucky to read the first book, Ruthless (True Brothers MC #1). I thoroughly enjoyed that book and looked forward to reading more of the True Brothers MC. Rebellious was at least 4.5 stars for me. This book takes place prior to the epilogue of the first book. With that said, it is a standalone and can be read independently. I don't suggest that because the H, Reb, is introduced in Ruthless and I absolutely fell in love with him in that book. So I was very happy to get his story. Emily is also a secondary character in Ruthless.

Reb is the president of the True Brothers. He's older, has a young son and a vengeful ex-wife. Yes, she's the type of mother who puts her own fun time before the care of her kid. She's also the type of mother who uses a child to get back at her ex-husband. Now if you give me a single Dad, who loves his child more than anything and is willing to put that child first, then I'm a happy camper. I love romances where there's a child involved and the father has a good, loving relationship with that child.

Emily has met Reb in passing but there's never been a connection until Reb's ex moves into Emily's apartment complex. Emily befriends the little boy due to the many occasions he's locked out of the apartment. One Friday night she finds the child outside and the mother is gone for the weekend. Emily, who was raised in foster care, is afraid she'll have to call DFCS but eventually loads the kid up and takes him to the True Brothers clubhouse to find his Dad. I had to love Emily's persistence that she was not leaving the child in an unsafe environment.

That meeting at the clubhouse puts us on a fast train where passion results in a lot of really hot and sweet love scenes. There's also the conflict Reb has because Emily is much younger than him. Emily doesn't think she can adapt to the club life. This author writes Reb and Emily's story in such a way that it made me feel their emotions and made me cheer them on. Yes, Reb is a total alpha, possessive male who is pushy and controlling. Emily puts up the right amount of resistance and doesn't let him push her too far. She does concede a certain amount, because in truth, she loves that side of him.

This was a great read and I'm very much looking forward to the next in the series.

Yeah don't read this. The heroine was pathetic and the hero can suck his own dick.
The heroine has a history of domestic abuse so when the hero starts punching walls two minutes after they meet, the heroine is OF COURSE "strangely attracted to him." She also sprains her ankle falling on the floor after running into the Hero's "rock hard body" (give me a fucking break with this plot devise.) Then an hour later they start sucking face and the heroine thinks to herself for the third time "clearly i need my head examined."
Yeah, no shit you do.
This was all in the first chapter. Not moving on from there.

Reb and Emily. Reb of course is an extreme alpha male, he is the Prez of the MC so that's expected. Emily is a survivor of domestic abuse and still suffers psychologically. She happens to live next door to Rhonda - Reb's ex-bitch of a wife. It all starts with Emily bringing Tucker to see his dad Reb after finding him sitting alone on the front steps of their apt. building. They know of each other because she is Jessica's best friend and was there for all that went on with Jessica and Zag. The one thing that is constant is the wonderful relationship Reb has with his son Tucker and its evident throughout the book. There were times that I thought Reb's reactions were too over the top but that comes from his fierce need to protect. Overall great story but I would really like to know what happened to that c**t Rhonda (I don't like that word but if the shoe fits wear it). I don't feel an ounce of pity for her and she deserves everything that's coming to her if it hasn't happened already. These Tramps need to go and I wonder if there's more coming in the next book.

I enjoyed the 1st book in the series, and I admit I was a little surprised the 2nd was Reb's...I kind of thought we would have to wait a little longer to see how everything worked out with him, and with the situation you catch a glimpse of at the end of the 1st book.

Reb and Emily. Oh goodness, was that fun. She is, as I think most of us would be, just a little reluctant to get involved with the president of the MC, even if a friend of hers is already involved, and marrying one of the members of the same club. I love how genuine this seems, how truthful her struggle with her feelings about Reb, how he seems violent one minute and a caring father the next, are so conflicted. How she feels both safe and trapped at the same time, about how Reb's treatment and expectations of her seem like both more than she can handle and comforting.

I loved that the ending didn't rush things, that Reb and Emily's story didn't get pushed through to the complete HEA that, really, neither of them were totally ready for. The pacing, characters and story arc of this were really strong, it was believable...and what I love about the MC books is they take me to a life in which I can't even see myself. What I loved about this one is that I actually could see myself choosing that life for someone like Reb.

I recommend this book.

Pretty cute

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: single dad
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

Bought it because the blurb looked good and I enjoy single dad stories. It was pretty cute and entertaining. I had periods where I really disliked the heroine. She was a bit all over the place. Super antagonistic and then over the top vulnerable. Overall, glad I bought it, but will likely be my last by this author.

So what should Emily do after coming home from work as a librarian only to find the little neighbor boy, Tucker sitting alone on the apartment complex steps with a bag of junk food sitting next to him looking very alone? After talking with Tucker she finds out that his mom has left him again and the other neighbors that he usually goes to has left for the weekend. Being that really good and loving person that Emily is she takes him home with her feeds him pizza and tries to contact his dad seeing his mom is nowhere to be found. Who knew that his dad is not only a biker with the True Brothers MC but he is the Prez of the club? Emily’s friend, Jessica, happens to be living with and getting married to one of the bikers from this club as well so Emily figures that Jessica would have an address of where Tucker’s dad, Reb, could be found. A little scary pulling you crap car up in front of a biker compound but Emily is determined to find Tucker’s dad and make sure that Tuck is taken care of. Even though some of the bikers try to intimidate her she will go toe to toe with anyone just to make sure that Tucker is taken care of.
What does a big ass biker who is the Prez to the True Brothers MC do when confronted with the sweet innocent and oh, so sexy little librarian who just happens to be taking care of his son? Oh, my, this is where things heat up between Reb and Emily because they both feel this pull and you know what they say about opposites attracting. Emily comes with a little baggage though and that is that she was brought up in the system and when she did finally get out she found a low life boyfriend who liked not only liked to beat her but ended up stalking her after she left him. So is Emily going to be able to handle any type of relationship with a biker who has two sides; one being the loving father that she has seen with Tucker and the other being the big, demanding, volatile biker that the president of a motorcycle club has to be? Reb keeps telling Emily she has nothing to be afraid of concerning him ever doing harm to her but she has lived in fear most of her life and has panic attacks occasionally from everything she has been through.

Is Reb going to be able to push the system and get to have custody of Tucker since his mother could care less about him or is living the biker life going to stop that from happening? How far is Emily willing to go to take a chance on something that feels so right to her? Being the Prez’s Old Lady also puts her in the crosshairs of the rival club so if she does agree to try this relationship with Reb what kind of dangers are in store for her? Is Reb going to be able to keep Emily safe from everything in and out of the club life? This is another good installment of Ms. Archer’s biker series that has me waiting for the next book to come out. These books let you see how the bad boys can be good and the good girls can be bad.

Emily is Jessica's best friend. Coincidently she knows Tucker's Reb son and the child is always left by his bitch mother alone. So, Emily as the good girl she is even she wants just to lay down and watch some TV goes to help him, because she is nice.

Reb and Emily already know each other-that's discover later but seems that have seen each other now. It was really confuse. Reb and Emily relationship is very quickly. Emily whom has suffer abuse now is dating a angry biker who just say what she can do or not and also she cannot say a thing about him damn business.

As I was saying after much sex they are falling in love with each other and the only thing that Emily can say about him are how nice he is with his son, how hot he is and he is really a good guy.
Emily is the good girl, old lady material. She is more calm and yet like her friend horny about a man she barely know. I did not connect with her or him.

No ineterest plotline.

Nicole should really make another friends. Not Jessica and Emily respect her. They seems a bunch of teenager who can talk only about hot man and how good they are. Jessica really knows them I bet.

This was a quick and exciting read. A lot happened without the book feeling weighed down and too long. I loved Reb! I also really liked the sassy attitude from Emily, but not so much the cowering. Although I understood the need for it, it just didn't sit well with me. It was great to see the events unfold from each of the main character's viewpoints. The supporting cast was very entertaining. I hope Nicole ends up with one of the bikers. That would be a riot!!!! All in all this was a well-written and very satisfying read. I'm looking forward to reading more books in this series soon. This is my first book by Gillian Archer and I can't wait for more! I'll definitely be reading the 1st book in the True Brothers MC series soon.

After being introduced to them in the first book, this couple made me want their story. There is lust, a strong connection, friendship, exes, a stalker, and blood in this story. Add in some steamy sex scenes and it was a good read. This book is about two people with similar pasts, who find each other because of a little boy, and fall in love with one another. They have some large obstacles to fight in order to get their happy ending, but they eventually do get it. Their love for one another is stronger then their fears and differences. I read this book from beginning to end in one sitting. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the next story in this MC series.

I LOVED this book! I thought it was awesome from the get go! I really liked that Emily stood up to Reb regarding his son even though she was scared of being in the MC compound and that Reb was an intimidating man, being the president of the True Brothers MC.

There is not one thing about this book I would change. I am excited to read the next in this series! In the meantime it looks like Ms. Archer has a few other books I can read until the next True Brothers book comes out.

Emily gets a shock where Reb is concerned, “I might need a little more foreplay before we— holy hell! Are you pierced?” I stared in disbelief at the glint of metal coming from the head of his p***s." Reb sometimes just has to shut down his woman's ideas, "Reb glared at Emily. “No effing way are you naming my ***k. And definitely not some lame-*** name like Albert. If anything it should be something dangerous.” I really loved this book, and I can't wait to see whose next in this series.

3.5

The storyline wasn't always feasible, but the sex was pretty hot. I don't think you can find a more alpha male than the president of a motorcycle club. This was a pretty good read, and I am already planning on recommending this to some that I know enjoy the genre.

I liked this book a little more than the first one. This one shows more of the MC life. Opposites attract in this 2nd installment of the series. Reb is the Prez of the True Brothers MC. He is hard, ruthless and unapologetic. Emily is the shy librarian that still feels the effects of an abusive relationship from years ago. Reb scares her yet at the same time she feels safe with him. She is cautious and so is he. He is getting out of a toxic relationship and is not looking for love. The story is full of sexy rides and a lot of action. If you liked the first book you will love Reb and Emily. The story is a quick read yet packs quite a punch. Looking forward to the next chapter.
