About the author

My first Middle East reporting trip took me to Beirut in July 1982, and I've been going back ever since. I've lived in Egypt and Lebanon, have worked with freedom fighters in Iran and Iraq, and been held hostage by Muslim terrorists in a war zone. Kenneth Timmerman documents Iran’s Revolutionary Guards interest in developing an effective nuclear weapons program and other WMD capabilities. He reveals how Iranian buying teams are crisscrossing the globe to acquire key nuclear technologies, equipment and materials. He uncovers unexpected responses from US government officials to Iran’s activity. This book is an engaging storytelling account of the determination of Iran’s radical Islamic regime to acquire a nuclear weapons arsenal that would ultimately destroy its archenemies: “the little Satan” (Israel) and “the great Satan” (USA).

This book is eerily accurate. A lot of what I have read in this book has occurred already. I hope that this thing doesn't go nuclear, but it looks as though that is a possibility. Akmajenajad (sp) has already committed to the destruction of the "little satan" (Israel) and has threatened to move to the "great satan" when done with Israel. First strike is the only option.
