MINDSET: How Positive Thinking Will Set You Free & Help You Achieve Massive Success In Life

Rate this book
Do you ever wonder why some people get to achieve their dreams whereas some people never even get close to that? Well this book will help you learn how to embrace positive thinking in order to achieve success in your life. So, what makes the difference between someone who seems to get things done, achieve success, and seem to have it all and someone who does not seem to get things done? Well, the one thing that has a huge impact on whether you pursue your dreams or not is your mind.
While your mind is a very powerful organ, if you don’t harness its full potential, then you will not live the kind of life you desire. Think about it; when your mind believes that you are already defeated, no amount of practice or training can make you believe otherwise. In fact, even when people keep telling you that you can do it, when your mind thinks you can’t, you won’t make any significant progress in whatever it is you wanted to do.
So in essence, the secret to success in life lies in harnessing the power of the mind. If you are fully aware of that but find it hard to use your mind’s unlimited power to unleash your full potential, this book will help you to achieve just that.
If you are looking for actionable information on how to harness the power of the mind to transform yourself, then this book will teach you how to unleash the full power of your mindset to transform your life.

'Mindset : How Positive Thinking Will Set You Free & Help You Achieve Massive Success In Your Life' by Benjamin Smith. I saw this book first in Amit da's feed. People who have read 'The power of your subconscious mind' by Joseph Murphy can give this a read. It's a short one, it has a mere 40 pages. Written in easy and fluid languages, which will make you understand those concepts easily.

So, what are the takeaways from this book?

A Eye Opener

As I go through my journey to learn everything I can to renew my mind, I've come across some pretty helpful books. This book has shown me the most in depth techniques to do just that. I've learned a lot from reading it. I cannot stress enough how important it is to me that I accomplish my goal of renewing my mind. This book has helped and continues to assist me in making every thought an opportunity for growth, and with lifelong practice and progression, an opportunity for success. Very easy to understand, and a great read. Highly recommended.

People who wants to read self help books and donot know where to start from, this is the perfect book for them. It's free on Kindle so no harm is trying to understand what he explains.. I loved it.. it's simple yet good..

Mindset

A short read by Benjamin, Mindset is a good self-help book. Personally, I felt several times that it is our Mindset that we call our fate. I realized power of thoughts. Not only that, I firmly believe in power of positivity.
I am a bit disappointed with book's interiors.

This book was the first one that sparkled a sense of separation between the mind who thinks and the awareness that observe. It was the first invitation I’ve got to pay attention to my thoughts and how they were influencing my life.
I can’t remember now the contents of it, and I’m not sure how I’d feel reading it again now, but for the extremely important influence it had in my life, i have to give it a 5/5.
It was just the beginning of a looong and winding beautiful journey.

I like the fact that this book isn't filled with abstract ideas on how to develop a positive mindset but actually gives concrete tools that if applied daily can increase confidence and reframe your state of mind. It's a book you may have to re-read but that shouldn't be hard to do because it's a quick read. A few typos but I still enjoyed it.

i enjoyed this book on improving your mindset. I appreciated that it started by explaining how moving towards more positive thinking could benefit you and then moved on to explain specific techniques to try. I liked that the author generally gave concrete suggestions to try as well as recommending books by others to delve deeper into complex topics. Explanations were kept simple and short and the book flowed logically from one topic to the next.

The writing at times was a little awkward - some word choice and sentence structure could use a bit of tweaking. Meaning remained clear and I don't expect a self-help book like this to necessarily have the same literary standards of a novel. A couple of times, the explanations were too short, particularly in the case of learning how to not take criticism so seriously and content reframing. Even though there were recommendations to other sources for some complex topics, there ought to be enough explanation in the book to be able to grasp and perform the technique. Handling criticism well can be very difficult for people and so deserved a bit more time. There was an example of a content reframing technique, but it needed a bit more in case that doesn't work. It wasn't clear enough on how to apply that idea effectively. My only other criticism was on mindfulness, I think a reference to something by Jon Kabat Zinn or Sharon Salzberg or whoever the author likes would help guide people who want to delve more deeply into that very helpful practice.

This book is a guide to help you develop a positive mindset. This is a practical reference, there's no intense diversions into theory or background of most techniques. But you don't need that to get started. This book's strength is that it presents practices in an excellent order for developing a positive mindset. The techniques and practices are presented in such a way as to avoid overwhelming you, which some other books like this tend to do. It gives several helpful resources if you want to explore some of these ideas more deeply. If you take the time to practice these techniques, you're going to see an improvement in your outlook. I received this book at a free or discounted rate, but it has reignited my interest in this subject and I'll be integrating several of his suggestions into my life.

So beautiful,
I will definitely be returning to this book AGAIN! every soon!!

People (including myself) tend to forget that the brain is such a vital organ, and if not train properly it can basically turn your life upside down. Simple things like training yourself to be a positive thinker, can alter your life in many positive directions.

I have a bad habit i've been meaning to eradicate for the past 2years now. I am an addict, and I propose to stop continuing the consumption of bad beverages like Coke and other nonsense like bicarbonate water.

I've tried many techniques to conquer this disgusting habit, but it was not easy.

Until NOW!! with the ways I'm thinking of things from now on, I don't think I will ever turn back to them again!! Instead of thinking of them as an "energy booster" I will start thinking of such beverages as a "destroyer of my health." SIMPLE AS THAT!!

Book : Mindset
Author : Benjamin Smith

Mindset subtitled How positive thinking will set you free and help you achieve massive success in life is a really short read that emphasize on the importance of positive thinking and how it can impact the life for better.

Didvided into 7 chapters the book is a consice account on power of subconscious, how to develop positive thinking and becoming mindful by practicing it and some inspirational quotes.

Even though it's a really huge topic I felt the book could have been a little more elaborate and detailed. But then again like mentioned in the book it's about practicing what you learn in a book no matter how big or small a book is.

A good read for beginners who need a guide towards setting in the journey of positive thinking.

Concise and actionable-easy to read and short

Easy to read, I read in a few hours with interruptions. The author emphasizes that nothing will change if we don't DO something different-probably the most important take away. The best books and resources are nothing if the tools in them are not implemented. This book is a great place to start. So START. You're on your way ;)

Good but not great

It is good but you won't feel like it's a book rather it's more like blog or an article in newspaper

The only reason it took me so long to finish this book is because I was reading a few pages each night; I did this because it made me sleep with a better mindset and wake up in the morning referring to this book all throughout the day. Luckily I read this book the night before my college interview, and as I sat there, anxious as hell and wanting to run out and never look back just to avoid the feeling of anxiety, I referred myself to this very book, reminding myself of all the thoughts I should be thinking instead - it was a miracle worker. This book is so different to many self-help books because it doesn't condescend - it just gives you the facts. It doesn't tell you ''Just believe in yourself'' or any of that unhelpful nonsense; it justifies why you are thinking negatively and helps you to understand how you can change that around. As someone very interested in psychology this was very interesting to me, and I have taken into account everything that it said. Who would think that something just over 30 pages long would be so useful? I will carry this book with me for a long time and I will probably read it again, just to remind myself of what to do and what not to do. I'm so happy I got this book and I'm looking forward to becoming a more mindful person in the future!

Two years ago, I was overwhelmed with feelings of low self esteem. Common thoughts were "I can't do this", I'm rubbish at this", everyone thinks I am stupid" etc. It was crippling! I knew that I was worth more than that but something deep down was telling me different! As well as a little help from the happy pills (whose help I don't need anymore), I found the power of positive thinking. (It took a while)! This book, though short, is brilliant in explaining how the power of words and thoughts can weigh us down and gives very good advice on strategies to practice to put these thoughts away. These days I make a conscious effort every day to find positives and if sometimes things don't go right, that's fine. None of us are perfect but we are awesome in our own right and it's time we told ourselves this!

Could be a life changer

I think that this book reads pretty well for all reading levels. I chose to read this book because I was looking for a little inspiration as I am approaching a major transition in my life. I feel that this book has given me a boost in confidence. The only draw backs in the book itself are a couple of typos(or my mistake). As far as the material itself I think that it’s up to the individual whether or not it’s going to be fulfilling. Short easy read it’s worth reading if your looking to better yourself. I will revisit this book again.

This is a really good one to have

You may have to read it more than once to well and truly grasp what is being said and what you have to do. However it is possible. This is the first time I've read this and I most definitely will be reading it again as we all go through stages of negative thinking and sometimes it can take a very long time to get through it. I know that with this book I can and will.

Good in the End

This book started off dispensing a high minded form of new age absolutism, or the idea unlocking the mind is a magical action which brings permanent wholeness and healing. I almost gave up reading during the first half because it sound a lot like hollow mysticism, but I kept reading and was rewarded with some applicable practices to help a person deal with some of life's most difficult emotions.

This was free on Nook and a relatively quick read for me. I liked how it was straightforward on becoming successful with positive mindset. However, a lot of the things mentioned about being positive are easier said than done. The only thing I found useful was when they mentioned about using “problem solving” skills when faced with something negative and finding the positive behind it. Overall, this was just an okay read.

Self help books are more or less filled with information you already know. This book is not so different either. As a reminder of some forgotten good habits, this book is okay. I've learned a new technique of self-improvement. Well, I should say, I learned only the name of the technique. The necessary details is missing here, but I can search and learn more about it.
