DESPERATE

Shunned by respectable society and plagued by memories of her past, Ananiah Snow had no one to turn to when her father disappeared. Samuel Colburn was her only hope, but the stubborn sea captain was proving hard to convince.

Sam Colburn cursed the Fates that brought the high-and-mighty Miss Snow aboard the Truelove. The open sea was no place for any woman, let alone a pale-haired temptress whose very presence set his blood on fire.

This is a by-the-numbers bodice-ripper. Nothing special. There are much better books in this genre. Virginia Henley's The Hawk and the Dove is a good example.
