The first book of its kind to be written, this now needs to be read within the context of the time it was written - the height of the aids epidemic. None the less this is a beautiful handbook for gay men looking for a first step guide to learning about intimacy. Given the massive changes in the gay community and the community at large since the late 80's this could really benefit from a rewrite - some of the concepts they write about have come about and almost gone full circle.
