A chance encounter plus a deserted wilderness could equal romance for two reluctant hikers.

Brett Arlington
Dropped in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, I have two hundred miles to figure out who I am and how I can deal with the bomb that was dropped on me. A journey I intended to take alone. Stumbling across another hiker on the same path is a twist I didn’t expect. The fact that he’s sexy, stubborn, and challenges me in every way, well that makes me want to push back in a big way.

Drew Sullivan
This hike was my annual time to reset. A little distance from the real world and the guilt I carry with me. I didn’t need a liability like Brett, but like it or not, we’re stuck together in the middle of nowhere. Determined to toughen her up, I don’t expect the heat that flares when she finally pushes back. By the end of the journey the secret I keep could tear us apart and I’ll be at risk of losing someone I didn’t even know I needed.

She wanted independence from her family name and clout. She wanted to find out how much grit she had and this was her chance. Brett Arlington is going on a trip, a two hundred mile hike, alone, her against the wilderness, making her own decisions, not worrying if he was perfectly poised or if her parents would frown. Until she found an unconscious man on the trail. From that moment forward, Brett discovered she could drown under the brutal assault of a hurtful, arrogant, but beautiful man, like she did every day of her life or she could swim in the deep end and make big waves, finding her own personal tidal wave of independence.

Drew was on his favorite trail, in need of the alone time, time to contemplate life, to lose the stress of work and beyond. Just his luck, he is literally stumbled upon by a first time hiker with the spine of an over-cooked noodle. What started as irritation and a really brutal attitude became his own personal quest to bring out the tiger hidden in the mewling kitten in front of him. Meanwhile, when he discovers who she is, he knows he must keep a secret from her that could re-define or erase the budding relationship they are forming.

When their journey is over, will it be the end of “them” before they even began or will Drew’s lies by omission be the straw that broke Cupid’s back?

Without Walls by Ashley Erin has humor, heart and a lot of hiking! Although his intentions were good, I hated, absolutely hated the method Drew used to “help” Drew. He went over the top with his mental and emotional cruelty. No one should be made to feel so useless, ever. Brett was a huge surprise, I loved her. Alone in a world she has no practical experience in, she learned to stand up on her own two feet, hopefully gaining the starch she needed to do so in her “real” world.

Ms. Erin did a wonderful job creating a tale of romance in the wild while depicting each scene so vividly, I almost found myself out of breath, sweating and dying of thirst on the trail.

I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

5 Bubble Bath Stars!!

Brett has a handful of guts to be by herself in a big nature world. I would be freaking out within the first night alone.

The author's words take you to each scene in a different light and makes it all real and exciting. I loved how she took each chapter and labeled them the way she did. You can really appreciate how much time has gone by.

Drew is just Drew... (Need I say more) I could but don't wanna give anything away!

Book releases May 10th so be sure to mark your calendars!

Without Walls is the story of Brett and Drew. The story starts with Brett embarking on the biggest adventure of her life...a 200 mile solo hike through the Rockies. Ashley does an amazing job describing her surroundings on the trail; I had a movie playing in my head as I read. If you're a fan of the outdoors, this is a must read!

Brett meets Drew unexpectedly, but the best relationships usually start when we least expect them. I loved their banter, the passion that builds as they get to know each other, and how Drew draws Brett out of her shell to reach her full potential, becoming her true self.

I rate this book 4.5 stars. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

I never doubted it before, but ‘without walls’ marks in cement to all that Ashley Erin is a brilliant author. This is her fourth novel and though I have loved each one prior, this one takes my breath away.

The majority of without walls takes place in the mountains, as perfectly illustrated on the cover. Being a lover of mountainous beauty, I am in awe of the imagery the author projects and her ability to place me among the towering trees and effervescent streams, from the comforts of my cushy recliner. There is no doubt every reader will see and feel exactly what Brett and Drew experience on their together-but-separate journeys of self-discovery across 200 miles of Rocky Mountain terrain.

Speaking of the hero and heroine…while I may not have been born with a silver spoon, Brett's plight and desire to step off the coattails of her family name and make her own way, starting with this insane hike, is tangible. This trek tests her character, brings out the true Brett that has been stifled for years. Her transformation is written so well, I actually felt proud of her as I would a personal friend.

And then there's Drew…a gorgeous, rude asshole of epic proportions with a tender side and depressed background that had me wanting to slap, kiss, and share tears with him, depending on which way the wind blew. And all the while, he was just trying to break this stranger he just met, out of her shell- help her to stand up for herself. How could I, or any other reader, not swoon over a guy like that?

The interaction of these two is at times hilarious, full of angst, playful, angry… and somehow sexy during this two-month journey in the wilderness without conventional plumbing! Wondering how they manage in the real world after the initial journey ends? Read the book!

Seriously- the story line is unique, the characters are well-defined staying true to the end, and your attention will be held with interesting twists and turns that I’ve come to expect from this author’s work. Aside from that, Miss Erin respects her readers and herself enough to go the extra lengths where editing is concerned, to provide a book darn near free of errors... a rarity anymore. This novel is truly an outside-of-the-box gem that I recommend to readers of many genres and interests. Congratulations, Ashley Erin, on penning this superb read!

I loved this book! It's so different from Ashley Erin's previous books, and by far her best yet!

Brett was a great heroine, and I could definitely relate to her. She wanted to test her independence from her family, embarking on a two-hundred mile trek in unfamiliar territory. But what should have been a personal journey, ends up being a life changing experience with a sexy stranger she comes across in the wilderness.

Drew could be a bit brash when it comes to Brett, not thrilled by thought of having to hike alongside this woman who clearly has no experience roughing it, but he pushes her beyond her limits and finds that she's much stronger than she lets on.

The sexual tension is palpable, but Drew is torn between starting something romantically with Brett, especially once he learns who she really is, But is he willing to risk it all to be with her, or will be let his secret keep them apart? I'll leave that for you to find out!

With characters that are easy to connect and fall in love with, this book captured my attention from the very beginning. Drew & Brett, in the mountains, looking to discover themselves. During their journey, you experience their fears, their guilt, and their self-doubt. They need each other to find their way, and I fell in love with them every step of the way. The author’s writing puts you inside the pages as you witness their journey of self-discovery, courage, and love.

A chance meeting in the wilderness leads to a lifetime love. A perfect recipe for a romance a la Ashley Erin!
WITHOUT WALLS is a story of breaking down barriers; the barriers inside and outside ourselves that can keep us from being the people we can be. Brett journeys from mousy and introverted to strong and confident with Drew’s pushing while Drew is deliciously evil in his early dealings with Brett, which just makes him more attractive to both Brett and the reader. Both characters find their true selves and discover they can’t be that new self
without each other’s help.
It’s a true contemporary romance with contemporary issues that many readers face themselves. Ashley Erin uses her psychology experience to her advantage in the story, painting her characters so well that they seem real. Romance comes naturally for Brett and Drew, like real life.
I highly recommend WITHOUT WALLS for anyone who wants a real life experience with romance.

Having never read anything by this author I wasn’t sure what to expect, and what I got was nothing short of amazing. This story is unique, the majority of it set in the Rocky Mountains, and thankfully the author took time to describe the sights and smells, which really helped me to immerse myself in this book. With only two characters for the majority of the book, the author did an amazing job keeping the story interesting. There were no dark secrets or major twists and turns, just two people trying to find themselves; this really is a beautiful story.

Our main characters Drew and Brett have an instant physical attraction to one another, but Drew goes out of his way to rile Brett, trying to get her to stand up for herself and show some passion. Brett has always been a ‘yes’ girl, having been brought up within a wealthy to do family she has always held her tongue and never rebelled, until Drew pushes her buttons. The struggles they both had going into the trip melt away, they are however left with a new set of fears and concerns, will their relationship withstand the ‘real world’.

There are a few laugh-out-loud moments, but mostly this story is about self-discovery; seeing the growth of the characters over the course of the book is beautiful. The passion and intensity that they show towards one another is palpable; and you can feel the heat roll off the pages. I have given this book a 4.5 star rating, and the only reason it is not 5, is the dialogue between the characters; I much prefer the dialogue to be written as it would be spoken. This is a personal preference and does not take anything away from the story.

If you are looking for a book that will touch your heart and maybe even make you re-evaluate yourself this book is for you.

Well... I wasn't quite sure what to expect when i began reading this book, but by the end... I can safetly say, it's one hell of a story and if you're anything like me, Drew is a perfect book boyfriend and he will steal your heart by the time you turn the last page!!!
Brett is a beautiful 26 year old woman who has recently decided she wants to 'find herself'. She has trained for a year and now is on a journey to self discovery, hiking 200 miles... Alone!!!... Hmmm not quite! A chance meeting, changes lives forever!!!
Drew has compleated the same 200 mile hike every year for the last 4 years, on the anniversary of his mother's death! He likes to forget everything and channel on the nature of the trail!... When he meets Brett, he knows deep inside that she is a strong woman, she just needs to find herself!... With a little help from yours truly!!!
It's a wonderful story that follows a journey between two people that seem to have lost their way in life! It's written beautifully and has some scourching passion, that is hot enough to melt your e-reader!!! The characters are perfect... But what will happen when secrets unfold? Are they strong enough to find each other in 'the real world'? Or will they walk in opposite directions once they compleate the trail?... BRILLIANT!!!

Brett wanted to prove herself wrong. She wanted to change her path. She wanted to do for herself and not have her parents do for her. She takes off on an adventure of a lifetime. She decides to hike the mountains. She wanted to feel free and not be what everyone wants her to be. As she starts her transforming adventure, she stumbles across Drew. She thought he was dead. But so not the case. She travels the rest of her journey besides Drew. She grows feelings for him but one thing he holds back from her. He knows exactly who she is. But Drew is afraid to reveal on how he knows her.

This book was really good. It reminds me of the Reese Witherspoon movie minus meeting a guy on the hike..

This book was well written. As I was reading this book, I felt Brett's feelings. It was like I felt what she felt.

4 STAR READ!

This book was different compared to the others I'm used to reading and I think that's why this had pulled me in. Brett wants to get away from her family name and actually make a name for herself. When she decides to go on an extreme hike, she never thought this is where she would encounter someone who could possibly change her life. When Drew started this hike, he didn't want to have to drag this girl along with him. She obviously didn't know how to rough it in the woods, and he knew she wouldn't last long. So why is it that he cannot pull himself away from her? The tension between these two is amazing. I found myself wanting to know what happens next, and wanted to just skip to the end! I'm normally not a nature girl, so I didn't think I would be interested, but surprisingly, I was!

This book is so very different from any other book by this author but also so very different from other books in the contemporary romance genre. And by different I mean that in a unique and wonderful way. The majority of this book is set in the Rocky mountains, so alongside the romance we have outdoor survival techniques, and beautifully written descriptions of the scenery. The romance between Brett and Drew is not instantaneous, although there sure are sparks flying. They both battle through their own daemons, fighting against each other at every step. Can they take the relationship they have developed into their real lives is the question? Ashley Erin, this is an awesome book. Well done you!! 5 stars all the way!!!
