Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:
I was so excited to read and review the second book in Lynn St. James's Anamchara Series. It was downright addicting and SO hard to put down! I really liked Kristy. I love how tough she is and how unique her powers were versus all the others living in Anamchara. I absolutely ADORED the mystery that was surrounding her and just felt like it added another dimension to Embracing Her Surrender.
Jeremy is one sexy, grumpy sheriff. Although, right off the bat, I sensed something was off about him. I liked the darkness that was lurking in the story and couldn't picture this book being better because everything just felt right with it to begin with.
Embracing Her Surrender was full of charm, mystery, soaring passion, and a good strong plot. It was VERY well written with lots of hot sex, plenty of surprises and just really a great romance. I am SO happy with this book that I could shout it out!
This story deserved nothing less then a full FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS. Its an incredible romance and I already am looking forward to the third book and can't wait to see who it will be about and what else will happen in this wonderful place. If you haven't had the opportunity to read this book along with the first one, Embracing Her Desires, then I recommend you hightail it to Amazon and pick these babies up. You WON'T regret it.

What a wonderful story! It had enough action to keep me interested and enough heart to make me tear up! Anything that can make me cry I automatically give 5 Hearts! Well done Lynne, can't wait for the next installment.

Exceptional story of love and spirit.
Mystery on every page, love in many ways, sex too, but mostly this story is about truth, honor, and faith. Women with amazing powers and men of character who can shift to a predatory animal, the story is weaved like a beautiful tapestry on the soul of readers . Me James is an outstanding writer of fairytale fiction and won't disappoint.

You are truly a gift from the gods.
Magic was fun sometimes and sometimes it was just a pain in the ass. HA! These are not your mother's fairy tales! WOW!! I absolutely love this book & series!! There is such a unique flair to these stories! It has this fairy tale feel to it, with some very naughty stuff that is NEVER mentioned in said fairy tales! But they are also so much more than that. There is humor, mystery, intrigue, happiness, sadness, romance, all kinds of magical creatures both old & new, and that is just a sample of what you can expect to find in these pages! I love how rich & deep these stories are, with the town’s history, the fairy godmother’s history, as well as each of the characters history too! I absolutely loved Jeremy from when we first met him in Embracing Her Desires! Who knew I was THAT into the grouchy Alpha male types?!? Maybe it is just Jeremy! Regardless, I am glad he got his story. Kristy was also a character I was eager to get to know as well as trying to figure out just why she was there, after also briefly meeting her in book 1. Of course, I was held captive in the clutches of Anamchara and the people of her town. Speaking of which, Anamchara is one amazing little town that I can't imagine anyone wanting to leave! Lynne has created such a fantastical series that has so many twists, turns & surprises that it makes it impossible to figure anything out before it happens! I was absolutely tickled pink when I started in on this story and realized that it was a continuation from book 1, with all of the same cast of characters except that this one focused on Kristy & Jeremy and was mostly told from their side of things. That is one of my favorite things with a series. I love following the same people, or being able to catch up with prior characters because it just adds an extra charm and a familiarity that draws you in even deeper to the stories. Of course, with a series you can have a larger story arc that can continue from one book to the next, weaving in & out, criss-crossing over & in amongst each books storyline, creating a deeper & enriched story involving multiple characters. The characters are all so interesting, the story as a whole is so captivating, all of the magic stuff - people, powers, potions, spells, etc. are all just so...well, magical! I actually bawled for the last bit, alternating between happy tears & sad tears. It was definitely an emotional roller-coaster ride for the last third or so of the book! Being able to connect with the characters & the story to that depth on an emotional level, well, that is a HUGE indication as to just how fantastical, fantabulous & oh-so-very-magical the story truly is!! Lynne has given life to one beautiful, magical, loving little town whose people and the stories within will have you mesmerized, enchanted, charmed, spellbound & captivated time after time, over & over, for many years to come! The more I read of Lynne's books, the more I realize just how phenomenally talented she is and cannot wait to go on my next adventure to Anamchara with her!

This is the second book in Ms. St. James’ Anamchara series and I was really excited that Hope, Jase and Cooper had a large role in this book along with the main characters Jeremy and Kristy. I really liked Kristy in the first book and I was glad that she was getting her own chance to find her soul mate.
Jeremy is the town Sheriff and werewolf pack Alpha and due to what he sees as a past failure doesn’t think he will be able to fulfill his duties and deserve the love of a mate. I loved watching Kristy’s compassion, caring, stubbornness and snarky attitude melt the resolve of Jeremy.
Just as in the first book the end of this book is full of startling revelations. I am really enjoying all of the characters and trying to figure out all of the secrets before they are revealed but I wish that there was more time after the revelations for us to get to know the characters in their “enlightened” roles. Even with a short epilogue I was left wanting a little more insight into their lives. I am anxiously awaiting the next book and hoping I will get some more romance mixed into the mystery and action.

Loved this book it was a great way to continue the series. It has a great story and a couple twists that really made it a great book. I like how we were able to hear more about the main characters from embracing her desires in the book too. Can't wait for the next book. Good Job Lynne!!!!!

I loved every page of this book! I really felt connected each character and the ending left me wanting to know more and what happens next! Kristy and Jeremy's story should not be missed! I can't wait for book 3!! :)

Another fantastic story by Lynne St. James. Couldnt put it down. It was nice to catch up with characters from book 1 too. Cant wait whats in store for the next book. Well done Lynne.
