OMFG what a book!!! I am loving this story between Kollie and Jared and how passionate they are together!
Vol 2 picks up a year after Vol 1 ends and it brings Jared home again, with the help of his mum.
Kollie has been dealing with PTSD regarding her past that although she can't remember during the day, it's clear in her mind during sleep!!! Still emotional at how Jared just up and left, she's shocked to pieces when he turns up at the pool house...
Jared has spent the year regretting running from Kollie yet certain he was doing to correct thing at the time. He is now clear minded that he loves Kollie and will do whatever he needs to do to prove to her that he will always be there, beside her!!!
With a huge twist at the end that will leave you gob smacked and will keep you waiting in desperation for Vol 3, Erica has done an amazing job with this story and i truly can't wait to find out what she has planned for the next step in this brilliant set!!!

Ugh leaving me hanging again!! We get our questions answered, but by the end of part 2 there's even more questions.. I do love when authors keep you on your toes and leave you wanting more. I hate that Jared ran from her in part 1, but the real question is will she run after hearing the news of what went down with Cara and Jared???

A year later and things have changed and things have been discovered and just when we are learning more and Kollie and Jared are rebuilding and falling harder something might come between them. And we are left to wait.

I just want to start out by saying I was gutted by this book. I love Kollie and Jared's story and Jaime's too. I can't not wait for part 3 to come out. I am so excited and can't wait to see what happens next with the whole Cara situation :)

** I received an ARC of this book, so this is my honest review. **
There's not many books that I give five stars to, but this one definitely earned 'em! Now part one was good, but this one was way better. You know with part one I was thinking it was going to be just your average erotic romance novel, but then part two came along and I was like "plot twist!" I just love how it turned into this mystery/suspense kind of thing. I just kept finding out things and things kept happening that I didn't expect; I was was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it all turned out and how all the pieces fit together.
I also enjoyed the character development like how this part went more in depth into Kollie's and Jared's pasts. I don't know their whole stories yet, but I do understand them a little bit more.
**SEMISPOILERS**
I felt like Cara, though she adds an interesting plot twist and I definitely want to know more about her and Jared's relationship, was just kind of brought up out of the blue. Part one and part two have the same characters, so when Cara just popped up out of nowhere, I was like who is this chick? ARC in exchange for an honest review**
Iv said in Missing Summer part one I hate short stories. I never read them. Same goes for Part2. Still hate them....
I gave Missing Summer Part1 and Part2 a chance, I'm unbelievably happy that I did and also pissed I did because not only did I just love ever thing about this book, but and this is a BIG BUT we're left hanging, I hate cliffhangers. I need to know what going on, what's gonna happen next.

This book though, so damn good. It's short. It's a fast read. Leaves you with questions.
We finally have questions answered from Part1. You get a better understanding of who Kollie and Jared are. You understand the characters so much better and why they act the way they do.
Kollie. My heart hurts for her. I'm so happy that my questions were answered in part2. But I'm sad my suspicions were correct. To find out why Kollie is the way she is. (Cryptic I know) but I'm happy to see she is doing something about it. Girl has strength!
Jared. I still love him. Hate he is a runner but I now have a somewhat better understanding of him. There is still more to his story. More that hasn't been revealed to us yet. But I know it's coming. We'll find out what happened. What makes Jared run.
Fall inlove with Jared and Kollie. Give them a chance!!

Ugh!!!! adsfghkfgjkyfhhbjjbbh!!!!! That's how I feel right now after that ending. At least we don't have to wait long for part 3. So part 2 begins a year after Jared has left Kollie. We've found out some things about Kollie's past. That really broke my heart. Jared comes back and everything is going great and then BLAM blindsided by another revelation.
I'm really rooting for these two because I believe they are the only ones who can heal each other from their damaged past. The chemistry is still explosive between them and you can definitely feel it. I really want Jared to be redeemed in part 3. He acts like such a tough guy but his soft side is Kollie. She brings out the sweet and protective part of him. Kollie is strong and independent woman who only shows her vulnerable side to Jared and her best friend Jamie.
I can't wait to see what happens in part 3 because shit just hit the fan big time. This is a short 3 part series, that is well written and is written in both Jared and Kollie povs. If you haven't read this go start on part 1. Awesome job E.N. Hudgins!!

Kollie was heartbroken after Jared left her when she broke down. She started seeing. Therapies and figured out her break down was due to PTSD of an event she had blocked. When Jared comes back into her life a year later she has much to explain and she hopes that he is willing to listen and not run.
Jared has a secret. One that could inevitably ruin everything with Kollie. Already he fears he will break her like he had Cara. When he finally tells Kollie his secret, will she hate him?
The secrets that come out in this story are both tragic and life changing. Kollie and Jared seem to have a way of ruining their relationship without giving it real thought and the damage they inflict on each other because of their pasts is almost unforgivable.
I found Jared to be an a*@hole and honestly I wouldn't have taken him back but with what had come to light I can understand why things happened. The story played out nicely. The author hit her mark on dramatics. :)

After reading the first book I was so looking forward to reading this book and E.N.Hudgins surely didnt disappoint. I absolutely loved it. Kollie and Jared's story continues one year later. Kollie has found out with counselling that she has PTSD and she has remembered everything that has happened to her in the past. Jared returns home after a phone call from his mom as she had family news and we suddenly realise that their story is just about to get a whole lot bumpier. A few secrets came to the surface, it was intense, very emotional and just when things were going fine Bang she hits us with the mother of all cliffhangers about Cara and how Jared knows her. Queue a scream of NOOOOOOOOO as I didnt want it to end.

I am freaking loving Kollie and Jared's story and how electric they are together.
Kollie is dealing with her demons of the past, a past she cant seem to remember except at night when it all comes flooding back in her dreams.
Jared has been gone a year and regretted running every day he was gone but still swore he was doing the right thing.
Now hes back and hes ready to prove that he will do anything and everything to win her back and stay with her.
That ending... man oh man do i need the 3rd one in this series. You are left with your jaw on the floor (not even playing) and NEEDING more.

I was given an arc for an honest review.
I really enjoyed the first instalment and this one didn't disappoint. my only complaint again is I don't have the next part in my hand! the plot thickens as we learn a lil bit more of their pasts. I really enjoy the humour and the writing style, it flows and is really easy to read. I love the characters that little bit more and am really looking forward to the next part.

This story picks up a year after where part one ends. We learn what demons Kollie has buried. Her night with Jared had triggered her deeply hidden horror. Through therapy, and the love and support of her surrounding friends, she is learning to live and enjoy life. Enter Jared. His mom has called him home to share some big family news. How will he face Kollie again? Can he overcome his demons? Is there a future for them together or will the past keep them apart?

We get a homecoming and wild news from "Mom and Dad." But the real jaw dropper is Jared surprise confession.
Part 3 is going to be interesting, that's for sure.

So part 2 happened, it was like a short sharp shot of goodness. This focuses on the summer of 2015 and Jared coming back.
We learnt a little more about the relationship with Kollie and my question of who Cara was started to be answered, bomb dropped and now I have to wait arrrggghhhh,

Loved this book!
Can't get enough of Jared & Kollie. So many questions answered from Book 1 but now I have just as many from Book 2 lol.
Can't wait for Book 3 to find out what the author has in store for us.

Just blows your mind!! just when you think it's safe to relax in the intense love story of kollie and Jared.... bang, the author decided to pull my emotional strings.... this is seductive,emotional, and HOT!!!

This book gets better and better. When I got to the end I couldn't believe it. I'm hooked and now I have to have my Jared fix. I start reading and can't stop till the end. It's just that kind of series. You have to know what happens.
