Welcome to the HEART - and HEAT - of Australia …

They say that no one has secrets in a small town - these women prove them wrong.

Clarissa may have been daydreaming about her head stockman, Brandon, every day and night of the long, hot drought, but Brandon has never been anything more than friendly and professional, and Clarissa has long accepted that life will never imitate fantasy.

Until Brandon recommends an old friend - a renowned bull-rider and stockman - for a job, and suddenly Clarissa finds herself in the middle of a competition between two of the hottest men that she’s ever seen.

But Clarissa doesn’t fancy herself a prize - and with two cowboys willing to do whatever it takes to make her happy, she might just decide that the winner takes all.

I’m an award winning author who loves to write scorching hot contemporary and science fiction romance—stories I love to read. I love working from home, where my office window looks out over our ‘block’ of fourteen acres with gorgeous mountain views. After enjoying a stint as a foster carer for cats, I now have seven felines to entertain me, along with two dogs and two horses. But only when I’m not distracted by my three gorgeous daughters, one of whom—a teenager *shriek*—is still living at home. As for my husband…he’s still waiting for retirement.

Secret Confessions - Down and Dusty is a collection of eight short and steamy stories by some of Australia's hottest writers.
This collection was received as one book through netgalley. However each story will be reviewed and released separately.

Read this short story if you're into threesomes. Two men taking advantage of a lonely young woman.
Made me cringe!

DNF-ing by page 2...

Sorry, I just can't get beyond the imagery being developed with how the Author is presenting this heroine...and the two Heroes.

It feels like too much of a Everyone "fits" a Stereotype porno plot, and, yeah, the first impressions are everything in being able to withstand a good, sexy story unfolding. All of this gave me bad, icky vibes...and I am already having difficulty with these other books in the series.

This was an insta-No-Thanks right from the get-go.

Oh, Clarissa, Clarissa. I was interested to read this story because Mel Teshco is the first of these authors that I already knew as an erotica writer. I expected something a little different and we get that with Clarissa's story.

Clarissa is a young widow. Since her husbands accidental death twelve months ago, she'd been working hard to maintain the cattle property. Unfortunately she hadn't had the opportunity to play hard, even though she's been eyeing off her manager Brandon.

It's not until Brandon brings on Adam, a bull-rider needing a break, to help out with the work that things start to heat up. Adam is a player and he recognises that Clarissa is badly in need of some R&R.

So you might think we have a love triangle with Clarissa having to choose between two sizzling hot men. This is not that triangle.

You know when you start a Teshco book that there’s a couple of givens—scorching hot sex, strong capable male lead (or leads in this case), and an easy-going and compelling female heroine. And, Teshco does not disappoint.

Clarissa is a genuine and engaging character who is as strong as she is vulnerable—a contrast that is testament to Teshco’s writing skill. Likewise, both Brandon and Adam are well-developed characters given the length of the novel, both with contrasting personalities that compliment one another and collectively with quite the experienced sexual backstory.

This is a quick raunchy read that keeps the Down & Dusty series humming along nicely.

The fifth book in the Secret Confessions: Down & Dusty series centres around main character Clarissa. I liked Clarissa's character along with Brandon and Adam's characters but they all had so much emotional upheaval that this reader felt the story needed more pages. The story felt rushed, especially towards the end and stopped short way too quickly but its redeeming feature was that it still managed to steam a page or two.

Clarissa is a widower and owner of a ranch. Brandon is her foreman. He invites his friend Adam, a bull rider to come and stay. What Clarissa doesn't expect is for them both to want her. The ending leaves you hanging a little bit. Very hot sex with two cowboys.
