Sometimes the only way to spring a trap is to use live bait.
Teddy Austin has had more than his share of run-ins with local law enforcement. The Wyverns have a reputation to maintain, and Teddy feels it’s his duty to cause havoc whenever possible. Of course, getting arrested means time in the company of Sheriff Adrian Hayder—always a bonus—though Teddy would far prefer to have the sheriff wearing the cuffs.
When The Knights of War MC arrives in Phoenix, Trap orders The Wyverns to get inside information. In order to infiltrate the gang, Teddy must appear to betray his friends and switch his allegiance. Working undercover, however, he confirms what they have all suspected—The Knights of War are a cover for something much more sinister than a hell-raising bunch of bikers, and they fully intend to turn Phoenix into a battleground.
With Sheriff Hayder getting far too close to the truth, Teddy is left with a few problems—how to stop a war, keep his balls intact and ensure the man he loves keeps breathing.

Lucinda lives in a small village in the English countryside, surrounded by rolling hills, cows and sheep. She started writing to fill time between jobs and is now firmly and unashamedly addicted.
She loves the English weather, especially the rain, and adores a thunderstorm. She loves good food, warm company and a crackling fire. She's fascinated by the psychology of relationships, especially between men, and her stories contain some subtle (and some not so subtle) leanings towards BDSM.
Lu, I love your wicked motorcycle club, and nothing gets me as excited as a new release. It's been years, I tell you, years, since I last visited with The Wyverns, and all their glorious men. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it feels like years. Even better, in 'Rattrap' you're fulfilling my fantasies about Teddy and good Sheriff Adrian. *grins*
I wasn't thrilled that Teddy had to put himself into so much danger because Trap ordered it. Having to go undercover in a new gang with none of his brothers around to protect his back worried me. Yeah, I know, call me crazy. Teddy is six foot six and has muscles on muscles, but he's still only one guy. And, when Teddy figures out what the Knights of War are really all about, I could see things going down the tube pretty fast.
Now, about Teddy and Adrian. *grins* I've got to admit that these two men, and their rough sex, was pretty volatile. Their bickering back and forth is very funny, and I love how confident Teddy is that he'll get his man. Of course, I'm never happy in the world of The Wyverns unless I get a few glimpses of Orlando, and the author didn't make me suffer.
Another fun adventure with my bikers, some action, very hot sex, and the promise of more. Please, Lu - can I have Crow and Shelton next?

Review
Rattrap by author L.M. Somerton is the third book in the Wyverns series. I have not read the previous stories but I was not lost in this book at all. Teddy, he is a biker, and a shifter. He skates the law a lot. He is the kind of man who always finds trouble but gets off without much consequence. The leader of the Wyverns asks Teddy to go under cover into a rival gang that has come into town. That is a job right up his alley. He is reckless and dangerous, but has a heart that belongs to the local sheriff. Adrian is the local Sheriff. He cannot stop being attracted to bad boy Teddy. He doesn't welcome the attraction to the man who is usually a pain in his behind and not for the good kind of reasons. He knows Teddy is the one he should stay away from but he just cannot resist the man. Not only is there a great story in Rattrap but we also get into biker politics and how things are run. I liked feeling a part of this world. I felt even though I had not read previous books that the author told me enough I was not lost or feeling like I was coming into a book already in progress. When you want a tough biker romance this is the one to pick up. I am glad I did.
Teddy Austin is a biker, a member of the Wyvern’s and all round bad boy who gets a thrill out of spending a night in the cells just so he can be near the very hot Sheriff Adrian Hayder.
The mysterious Trap has set the Wyvern’s the task of infiltrating another biker gang who have shown their faces in Phoenix. Outwardly the Knights of War just look like any biker gang but as Teddy and the gang look more closely it is clear the bikes are just a cover for something far more dangerous. It’s Teddy’s turn to take the lead and he finds himself riding with a group of men that would shoot him as easily as look at him.
Adrian Hayder loves his job and is always on the right side of the law but he can’t help his feelings towards the bad boy biker that keeps ending up in his cells. He is determined to keep his distance until he finds himself between the sheets and finally has to admit he cares. These two men are big, dominant and rough with each other and one time is never going to be enough but first Teddy must survive his latest assignment if they are to stand any chance at all.
4 star super quick, steamy MC MM Romance. This is the first book I’ve read in the series and it was fine as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed this interesting twist on MC romance.
Teddy is a member of The Wyvern’s MC and he’s always getting in trouble for something or another, winding up in the local jail. The sheriff, Adrian, is Teddy’s reason for always getting in trouble. They’re attracted to one another but Adrian believes that the MC is full of menaces and doesn’t want to get involved. Teddy gets tired of waiting after an interesting meeting in a bar and the two wind up together until Teddy has to leave for an undercover assignment. (I’m still a bit confused here because I think that maybe Teddy is an undercover cop but it’s not really confirmed.) When things take a turn for the worst in the assignment Adrian rides in to save him.
This was a short read and it would have been better with a bit more details but I enjoyed it none-the-less. I’ll be looking for the next in the series.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
“What a pair we make. Both emotionally dysfunctional”
And that quote tells you pretty much everything you need to know about this book and about Teddy and Adrian. These two men are more than a match for each other, and more inclined to exchange insults than endearments, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t exactly what the other needs.
If I thought the earlier two books were testosterone filled, Rattrap takes that to a whole new level both in the bedroom and in the world at large. And the danger our men, and especially Teddy, have to deal with is even more horrific than what we encountered in Mantrap and Deathtrap.
This whole story is one, long, adrenaline rush. The action, in one form or another, begins more or less on page one and doesn’t let up until the last paragraph. In between we are treated to extreme violence, grave danger, and brutal love; if that isn’t a recipe for a fascinating read I don’t know what is. While this book, unlike the first two, doesn’t deal with BDSM, there most definitely is some sort of dynamic between Teddy and Adrian, and to say it was hot, would be a gross understatement.
If you like your stories fast paced, sexually explicit and at times brutal, The Wyverns’ series should be right up your street.
Another great installment in the Wyvern series. Teddy and Adrian are opposite as night and day as Adrian is the local sheriff who has arrested Teddy numeral times. But the chemistry between them sizzles. They lovingly insult each other at every turn. Had me laughing out loud. I loved this book. I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Not only from the tension when Teddy goes undercover but also from the connection between Teddy and Adrian. It is a fast-paced page-turner. Great storyline and characters. Sparks are flying, from bullets and sexual encounters. There is a short appearance by Rogue and Orlando, and Crow and Shelton (there is some story there) For me, this is the best book in the series so far. Can’t wait what the author has in store for the next book. This is the third book in the multiple book series. The books should be read in order.
Another great book in the Wyverns series! Rattrap is my favorite so far and I love Teddy's way of getting Sheriff Adrian Hayder's attention. Getting thrown in jail for fighting in the local bars is not getting Teddy what he wants so he has to up his game. I can't wait to read the next book! The author kindly gave me an ARC to review.
I am really enjoying this series and following the members of this MC. This is the story of Teddy and Austin who finally give in to their attraction for one another. Their chemistry is incredible and they are perfect together. But when Teddy infiltrates a rival MC, can he save not only himself but Austin also? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
(Originally reviewed for Love Bytes Reviews with a copy provided by the author / publisher for an honest review. Rated 4.5 out of 5.0 stars.)
An excellent continuation of The Wyverns series. I really enjoyed this one…right up until 88% on my Kindle, with 33 minutes left in the book, when I hit the dead end. I absolutely despise when a publisher tags on a chapter of another book by the author on the end of a book as a teaser. You’re rolling along in a good story, flip a page, find an abrupt ending, and then…another book? I always feel cheated, and indeed I did this time. One other thing I have to mention, there were a few British English words that slipped through on this one, which I don’t remember happening on the other two installments. For example, whinge, lounge and bloke. Not bad, but culturally inappropriate for bikers in the US.
OK, so now that I’ve vented, let’s talk about this book. In this installment we have the story of Teddy Austin, who is the member of the Wyverns that constantly seems to get arrested and locked up in the local jail. That would be a bad thing, right? Wrong. I forgot to mention the big sexy Sheriff named Adrian Hayder that Teddy has a thing for. Is there any chance the “thing” is reciprocal?
Something new is going on in town. A rival motorcycle club, named the Knights of War have moved in. But something is off with this group. They feel wrong. Mr. Trap, the shadowy figure we’ve heard about in the previous books, orders the Wyverns to infiltrate, but will they be able to without getting any of their members killed?
If you like outlaw biker stories, with a slight twist, I think you will really enjoy this one. I highly recommend this installment, but recommend you read the previous two installments in the series first. They all tie together, and there would be some pieces that wouldn’t make sense if you didn’t know the past history. I’m going to ignore the “extra” chapter at the end of the book, and how much it made me a grumpy old bear for a few minutes, and rate the story itself. In my opinion, it is a 4.5 out 5.0 stars. Keep them coming please!
Not too bad. This time its Teddys turn. Teddy has been after the sheriff doing anything he can to get him., Including getting arrested all the time just to see him. This time though Teddy has to go undercover in a biker gang what end up being the Arian brotherhood. As he and everyone else try to bring them down, Teddy finds himself falling for or the sheriff.
Rattrap (The Wyverns #3) by L.M. Somerton M/M bad boy meets cop Triggers: Gang violence I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.
Hmm, where to start with this story? I didn't read the previous books, but never really felt lost. It was slightly confusing when it came to the rival gang, but that might have been because I didn't know what the dynamic was, other than in this story.
Let's just say that Adrian and Teddy make an explosive couple. They are hot and cold, hot oil and chilly water colliding. I love how Teddy takes charge of the in control Adrian. Then, Adrian decides that despite his reservations, he needs to do his own sleuthing - putting him in some danger of the rival gang. Both characters are caught between playing the part of their life that everyone knows and allowing someone in that might be outside their comfort zone.
Then you have Kit - whom I really like and hope he gets his own story.
What it all boils down to is getting the good guys to win. This story wasn't terribly in depth in terms of character development, but it had some action, steamy scenes and a connection between the two main characters that was believable.
A copy of this book was provided to me by Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.
***3 STARS***
This is a novella, so it didn't take long to read even though it's part of a series. I'm giving it a 3 though because there really wasn't much to the story. We have Teddy, who is a MC bad boy, but also an undercover cop...? His love interest is the Sheriff, Adrian. These two are hot together, but they really didn't spend enough time together to make them believable as a couple. Did they even end up as a couple? The ending was more HFN. maybe we'll get another book of them.
The plot idea was interesting, with the Knights Of War being a racist group bent on mass murdering people, but it kinda fell flat for me. It's a short book, but it should have been longer to make it more interesting. I liked Teddy, I liked Adrian...I just wish there was more of them together than apart.
Original review on Molly Lolly Three and a half stars! This story didn’t really give me enough to get invested in the characters and what happened to them. While it’s the third book in a series where I haven’t read the first two, I definitely wasn’t lost or confused. However I didn’t get enough of any one plot to get interested in it. Plus the relationship between Teddy and Adrian was so quick, to the point you miss most of the build up. There wasn’t much storyline with the other biker gang before it was solved and over. I would have liked more development of all the elements of the story. There’s good bones here for more to be invested in. It just didn’t deliver the way I would have liked or expect from Ms. Somerton.
This was a short but smutty filled read for me. I really enjoy Somerton’s series so far, and I did love that this book was about a different set of characters.
I thought that Somerton did a great job with both Teddy and Adrian. They both had completely different personalities, and there were times when I was sure that things wouldn’t work out because they were too different. However they were able to pull it off in such a way that it shocked me.
The action and drama that I was expecting with this book was there, and I must say the twists and turns caught me off guard.
Once again, I’m blown away by this series and I can’t wait for the next one!

I received this book from Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an honest review.
This was a short steamy read. Teddy was a biker who was always getting in trouble mostly to see the hot sheriff Adrian. Teddy goes undercover to find out what's going on but he's more worried about Adrian getting involved. It was good story full of action, but Teddy and Adrian just didn't seem to click for me. There was plenty of hot sex but I didn't feel the connection between the two. Maybe if their relationship was developed they would have made a great couple it just was to rushed.
I am still wrapped up in this series. The writing is strong, energetic, and sexy. The Characters are well rounded, interesting, and believable. This installment tells the story of Teddy (member of the Wyverns MC) and Adrian (Sherriff). Teddy is a bad boy who gets in lots of fights and gets locked up by the sheriff. Nothing ever seems to stick. How they come together (double entendre intended) and what comes of it is where the story gets interesting. I liked this story as much as the others in this series and plan to read all the others. Some English slang did slide into this one but not enough to pull you from the story. As another reviewer mentioned these stories all feel like they could go with lots more detail. But for short reads they the job done. Sometimes you just want a quickie. If so and you enjoy MC clubs, BDSM, or just rough sex, and lots of action with a little scary stuff thrown in this is the series for you. An ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Further continuing the Wyverns series, this is the third. I had been given the series in advance to read and review. Mr. Smith appears again and he, Rogue and Teddy have a meeting on updates for Mr. Trap's latest plans. Teddy and the Sheriff finally connect then Teddy goes undercover to infiltrate The Knights of War, a rival gang moving in. He gets in on a test basis... and meets Kit, the gang gopher.... and finds he is undercover from Mr. Trap too. This gang is just a ruse he finds out, they want to cause a ruckus and blame it on biker gang warfare. It turns out Teddy was there to get Kit out so he could funnel the information he had obtained back out. Kit gets to Sheriff Hayder and spills the beans, so to speak, catching him up on all the details. The ruse is for the fake gang to have a gun battle at a huge Gospel choir competition nearby . Homeland Security is contacted and they arrive at the hideout just in time to save the day. Kit becomes a member of the Wyverns and the saga continues for another round...
