Delia Foster is a hopeless romantic who fell in love with love after discovering her mother's old Harlequin novels in the garage--at the tender age of twelve.

A Texas transplant, she now works and lives in the Big Apple with her BFF and a seriously cute Morkie. Her hobbies include writing, reading, copious amounts of wine, imagining she is Henry Cavill's wife (or plaything, she's not picky about status) and a serious addiction to handbags (it's bad).

She still loves love even though she is single and seems to have encountered every dating disaster there is to be had.

She's saving those stories for her next venture into the horror genre.

Beautiful, sweet, sexy and funny.

Sophie is out with her best friend Liz, who's hilarious and fantastic and everything a best friend should be, anyway they're having a drink and a conversation about how Sophie hasn't had sex in over two years, she's concerned her hymen might have re-generated, this conversation is not only shameless but funny. Having arrived early for his dinner meeting Lucas takes a seat at the bar next to two women, he's not worried about getting hit on since these women are engrossed in there own conversation and soon he's discretely edging nearer so he can listen in but it's not until he catches sight of the born-again-virgin that he realises she's his dream girl.
This book is beautiful, I loved just about every minute of it and every character, Liz is amazing and Sophie is brilliant, Lucas is..wow all the characters felt real, rounded and complete, this is the first book I've read by this author but I intend to go on and read 'State of Grace'
My only issue and it's not really an issue as you can see from the 5 stars I've given this book but there were a couple of things towards the end I wasn't struck on but it's probably just me and it certainly didn't spoil the book.

5 blissful STARS!!

I'll keep this short otherwise I just may be here all day. And night. But there are so. Many. Things! So many things I want to say about this book!! But I'll start with - More please! I loved it! This is another new author for me and one I've put on my auto-click list!! Everything about this drew me deeper, kept me in the edge of my seat, made me emotional, made me laugh. Swooning? Yes! This is a must read for summer no doubt!!

"This thing between them was palpable, living. They could ignore each other as much as they liked, but it was getting harder and harder to resist every day."

This book begins with an interesting scenario. Lucas and Sophie are at a bar having drinks. But they aren't together. Sophie is taking with her BFF regarding her sex-life, or lack there of, while Lucas is eavesdropping on their conversation. The dual POV made this book. By giving both Sophie and Lucas their own voices, they became even more relatable. More likable. One picture things I most enjoyed about this was the inner monologues! Seriously, great stuff there!!

"Hit and run! Our was it, wham, bam, and thank you ma'am? Damn it, what was the idiom you were supposed to use when the situation was reversed?"

Lucas knows right away he had to have her. So he returns to the same bar, same time, one week later. There she is. And so it begins.

"Something in the air had changed."

This book took me on an unforgettable and crazy journey. One of secrets, finding love - in a rather unconventional way, a nagging mother, a high profile client, a fabtastic BFF, and bittersweet memories of a father's funeral. With the great writing and smooth style I couldn't put it down!

"... it just felt good to be near him. It felt right. It felt so right she was convinced it had to be wrong."

With any book I review, I always ask myself 'blanket' questions. Like, did I like the characters? Were they relatable? Did they keep me engaged, would I want them as my friend? And, overwhelmingly, YES!! I adored both Lucas Carter and Sophie Harlow. They, equally, made me huge a fan! I loved Lucas's alpha-ness, his need for control of certain situations. But he also had a very sweet, caring side. I felt the two sides frequently meld with his character and made Lucas ask the more likable! And seriously? The invitation to dinner? And his letter toward the end of the book? I totally swooned!!

"Each time you touched me, I burned brighter. Every time I heard the sound of your laughter, I could swear I heard an angel sing.

You are my everything."

And Sophie. Sweet, sweet Sophie. I felt her past relationship really shaped her. I won't elaborate, but will say she dodged a bullet from her loser ex. While on the surface she seems demure and a bit naive, she is anything but! Sophie is not afraid to stand up to people, not afraid to give just as much as she takes.

There are a few unexpected moments in the book. One of my notes literally says - 'WHAT. THE. HELL.' Another just has 'uh... WHAT?!' Those twists and turns of events were so carefully written, placed intelligently, and made the book even sweeter in the end. The incredible banter between the two is hella priceless! I can not wait for more of the Sinclair series!!!

**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review**

This book was hard to rate because I had mixed emotions. I was a little hesitant at first since it involves characters from State of Grace, but it's a standalone story that happens before SoG. "Prequels" tend to disinterest me, and in some ways that was the case with this novel. State of Grace was difficult to put down, but I didn't have the same problem with Beyond Bliss. The story captured my interest, but the main characters - especially Sophie- didn't get to me like Sean and Grace. I'm not sure if it was too sweet, or what. I also thought that, though interesting, the romance and major twist were a little too contrived. I get that's typical with romance novels, but if it feels unnatural, I lose interest

However, there was so much good here too. I was totally surprised about the relationship, and the bumps they encountered. Those elements made the story interesting. I also liked learning about the characters because it explained some things from SoG, but you got the full picture instead of a glimpse into Lucas and Sophie. The romance was hotter than I anticipated too, so no complaints there. There was enough banter (plus Liz) that I can see it's a writing style for Foster, and one I love. Foster also is great about doing the anger to resolution concept very well. So many authors make it the hate to love a snap moment, and it's implausible. She always lets enough time pass, that it feels true. I love that. I was perplexed by the POV shifts in SoG, as were other reviewers, but those weren't awkward in Beyond Bliss. The letters were also a sweet, wonderful aspect. And the ending, though a little contrived, did surprise me and reinvigorate my interest.

Overall, I liked the story, characters, romance, and dialogue. There were elements I didn't love, but they're her characters, so I really can't say much. I do like the way Delia Foster writes, and I'll read more from her in the future. I have a feeling her books will just get better.

Sophie is going through a dry spell after ending her engagement the day of her wedding. She doesn't want a relationship, but she'd like to add some good sex back into her life. Lucas overhears Sophie talking with her best friend at a bar about her dilemma and he decides he is the perfect person to help her out.

Sophie and Lucas have wonderful chemistry, and despite the bit of deception on Lucas's end, I really did hope that they would be able to make things work. Lucas definitely went off the rails a little bit when he hired Sophie to work for him. I didn't like the way he put her in a tough position and then didn't treat her well because of his own struggle with his feelings. There is a small reveal towards the end that I didn't feel was completely necessary as part of the story. I thought the challenges that the characters faced up until that point were sufficient. Sophie is a very likable character and it was easy to root for her. Even with Lucas's sometimes bad choices, I did really enjoy him as well, and ultimately wanted the best for both of them. Sophie's best friend was a hoot and I enjoyed their dynamic. This was a quick and enjoyable read, and I would read more by this author in the future.

This was a good read. Sophie has a great best friend who has no filter! She falls for Lucas but doesn't know he has a secret. They fall hopelessly in love. She bears her soul to him only to find out he is a repeat of another who broke her heart. Lucas loves her and cannot figure out how to tell her the truth. She finds out from her ex and is devastated. Lucas fights to explain and finally with help from her BFF does what it takes to win her back. This story made me ugly cry in parts because of the emotional way they share their feelings. The supporting characters have stories to tell themselves which rounds out things nicely. Loved the letters from daddy; so awesome!

This is a good story and the author wrote it well. I liked the main characters - it should have been an easy 4 star. So what ruined it:

- errors in the book - spelling/typos not many but they're their there etc. Liz has 2 children Liam and Hannah - yet at what stage Liam's name changes to Sam and then back again... I read it once & only once and spotted this, I think its pretty shameful that the author, publisher & editing staff didn't. It gives the impression the don't care about readers

- the character of the boss - just totally unbelievable and so unbelievably complex. He was the dad's best friend, turned up when she was born, never saw her again and then became the holder of the letters?! Urgh just nonsense

- she doesn't know him or his last name but the hotel lets her into his hotel room to wait for him off the flight from London. Really? And no he didn't give her the keycard - that was for the week before.

- then the whole thing that he knew he loved her and who she was but he still had to ask people. No he didn't and that was clear later that he hadn't and didn't. Felt like an author error not sure

I actually really liked this book. I read Foster's first one, State of Grace, and this is a story involving two supporting characters from that book. It's written in third person, and I definitely think Foster's writing is better in this book. It's still written in third person, but this story has better control and the POV isn't choppy like it was in the first book. The book starts out with a hysterical conversation between girlfriends in a bar. Sophie hasn't had sex in years, and her best friend gives her advice on how to get back into the scene. Lucas, a wealthy businessman (hot of course ;) ) happens to be listening in on the conversation and what happens from there...I can't tell you :). I thought the book had some hilarious parts, great supporting characters, steamy sex scenes, decent plot twists, and some heart-rending moments. Well done Ms. Foster!!!

It drew on nearly every emotion I can think of

SERIOUSLY, I disliked this book. Then I liked this book. Then boom I loved this book. And, one again, I hated this book. Oh, and then I loved this book. Isn't that what a good read is supposed to do? See if you suffer the same as I did. It's worth it.

I really like this book it was hot but had a story line that was believable.

The hero was hot & alpha (my favourite), the heroine didn't get on my nerves a bit as she wasn't trusting from things that had gone on in her past & she had every right too towards the end.

I cant wait to read the next one.

Author, you ruined the book.
The "plot twist" killed the potential of this book. I had already expected something to happen to carry over to the next book but this was disappointing. Close to the end of the book, you decide to do this big reveal that did nothing to build either character. And then the other reveal about her dad just seemed so unnecessary. Then there's the conclusion, so easily resolved with a letter.
I'd be disappointed if there was no plot, but this one just seemed unnecessary. I would read the same story up to that very point only with a different conflict and resolution.

This could've been a 4/5 star book.

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.

I just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters and love the book turn out to be. I have to say that this book is about second chances, this book had me crying at some point, but I love every single minute o it, I'am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.

The story begging with Lucas being at a bar waiting for the meeting to start, but while his waiting for the business man to show up his having a drink, also listening to the two woman seating next to him by the Bar talking, he was so intrigue by what they where talking, that when he got to see her face he couldn't believe that it was his dream girl. After a week later of Sophie having a conversation with her best friend Liz, she found herself back at the bar hoping to pick a one night stand no string attached, that's when she met Lucas, after that night they both did not think that their life where about to turn up side down, and change for ever, will Sophie finally will find happiness, or will her past repeat it self.

I love the way how Lucas and Sophie are with each other, love the chemistry that they have, and the sex scene are hot. Author Delia Foster THANK YOU for introducing me to this awesome book and this amazing characters love it.

Oh My Word was this story funny and cute. Sometimes you need a funny and cute story to get you through the day. I have been in a reading funk lately and this story made me smile.

Our leading lady, Sophie is out with her bff having a free drinks and letting details fly out about her dry spell. I literally laughed out loud with some of the things she was saying. Her best friend stole some of the scenes with her lack of filter and letting the innuendos fly.

Then there is Lucas, who overhears what Sophie is saying about her lack of sex life. He can't help but laugh at what these women are saying. At the same time, he feels bad for Sophie. Once he sees Sophie, he knows this is his dream girl (can't give away spoilers, but she really IS his dream girl!!). He is in the right place at the right time, that is for sure.

This story was more than just funny, there was some heart touching moments too with her mom and the letters from her dad. Delia had me laughing so hard one minute and wiping the tears from my eyes the next minute!

I loved this story. It left me in a good mood and took me out of my book funk.
I can't wait to read more of Delia Foster in the future!!

Sophie is an educated, intelligent, lawyer whom, at the beginning of the story is going through a dry spell and needs to over come that dry spell... Enter Lucas Sinclair... a wealthy red blooded alpha male who sets his sights on Sophie after over hearing a conversation in a bar between her and her best friend.

Lucas hires Sophie on a retainer and has her working in his office before long but the sparks between the two are undeniable and they find themselves back in the sack again even though Sophie tries desperately to resist the temptation. But it isn't all smooth sailing and I almost didn't think that we would get the HEA...

This story was good, I just couldn't connect with the characters... Sophie was all that a heroine should be and Lucas was all that a hero in a romance book should be... but it fell slightly short of being a great story. Some parts of the story dragged on a little too much... And while others were sweet I didn't get why they were included, like Harry and Jeannie's side story of love, what was that about? And the epilogue... I don't know it just seemed a little dislocated at times. But it is what it is a decent story.

This book was so hard to put down! I loved both of the characters in this story. Lucas had an alpha personality and liked being the one in control, but he'd actual listen to Sophie, as well. He knew when it was best to let her win and I absolutely loved that about him! He didn't always need to be in command mode. Sophie's stubborn personality was brilliant! I'm so glad she stood up for herself and wouldn't let Lucas be the one to make all of the rules. The multiple steamy scenes were super good, as well! I wish there were more books like this that involved more of an even playing field.

I also really liked the structure of the book. I enjoyed reading from both Lucas and Sophie's point of views. Seeing how Lucas was falling hard for Sophie made me love him even more! He seemed to be having a more difficult time than Sophia with keeping his feelings locked up.

I can't wait to read more of this author's work! I've already jumped into the next of the series, Grace and Sean's story!

It's always a joy to discover a new author, especially a new author who is extremely talented. Beyond Bliss certainly left me in a state of bliss. It is sweet, funny, sexy, clever and unexpected all rolled into one romance book. Sophie and Lucas are wonderful characters, both with pasts that cause problems for their present. Delia Foster lets this story progress at a realistic pace and throws in some twists along the way. I have to say it has been a pleasure to read this book and I certainly look forward to more from this author and this series
