8 booksI love to read. It's been a huge part of my life. I spent my childhood in drama classes and I enjoy going to the theatre. I was never into sports, so I was happy to turn some of my reading time into writing - that has opened up to another new world, more friends. I enjoy travelling, a good conversation, and wining & dining. Travelling is good - you read up on countries cities, plan your walks - long ones. That ripples into getting more fit and meeting new friends on those early morning walks. All good stuff.

When Kate Martin arrived in Bindarra Creek to rally the local school children into forming a regional choir, she had high expectations. The competition in Sydney was some time away and Kate was confident she would have all the children ready and in fine singing voice. Trained as an opera singer, she was very successful and in high demand, but Kate had decided to take three months away from her career to give something back – and this was what she had decided. Her determination that every child would be in the choir had many parents nervous but ecstatic. Kate felt the need to immerse herself into country living – she was sick of the city; cars, noise, pollution – she needed the peace only the country could bring.
Matt Stirling lived in a small cottage on his property – his mother and sister Beccy lived in the main house – and Matt worked the farm as well as part time in the local butcher shop. Dan, his best friend owned the butcher shop and Matt did everything in his power to help his friend out. A terrible childhood accident meant Matt’s guilt was never far away – he was positive his only purpose in life was looking after Dan…
But when Matt and Kate met, as they inevitably did in the small community of Bindarra Creek – sparks flew. Suddenly Matt’s preconceived ideas were on shaky ground. And Kate was quite fascinated by this country boy. There were no men who looked remotely like Matt in the city, and certainly none who acted the way he did. But would Kate ready the children for the competition in Sydney and just return to her life in the city? Matt was sure that was what would happen…
One More Day by Aussie author Linda Charles is the 9th in the Bindarra Creek Romance Series – there are thirteen in total, with thirteen difference authors. An intriguing series which is thoroughly enjoyable – the release of each novel is monthly with #11 having just been released. The small community of Bindarra Creek is set in country New South Wales and the various main characters feature in the majority of the novels. I have no hesitation in recommending the series, which can be read out of order, but it probably benefits more to read in order. One More Day is another excellent addition!

One More Day is book 9 in the A Bindarra Creek Romance by Linda Charles. After a teenage dare, Matt Stirling thought love would not be his future—however, this changed when Kate Martin came to town. Kate Martin was in town to set up a regional school choir and needed Matt Stirling to teach her about living in a rural community. However, will Matt's pass cause a rift between the country boy and the city girl? The readers of One More Day will continue to follow Matt and Kate to discover what happens.
One More Day is another fantastic addition to this excellent series by Linda Charles. I never have problems engaging with Linda Charles's books, and One More Day did not disappoint. I love Linda Charles's portrayal of her characters and how they intertwine throughout this book. One More Day was well-written and researched by Linda Charles. I like Linda Charles's description of the settings of One More Day that complemented the book's book.
The readers of One More Day will learn about organising a children's choir. Also, the readers of One More Day will understand the consequences of daring someone to do a silly thing.
I recommend this book.

Part of the Bindarra Creek Romance series, this is a lovely read from Linda Charles filled with emotional challenges for the hero and heroine. A classic story of a girl trying to find herself and a country boy trying to escape who he is. They each have lessons to learn and to teach each other. A sweet, emotional story with lovely warm characters and a great plot.

Emotional and confronting, this is a story of painful pasts, promising futures, and everything in between. The confirmed country boy and the international star. A match made in heaven…no, made in Bindarra Creek. There’s something in the water there. A lovely, sometimes sad story, with wonderfully warm characters and a beautiful storyline.

I can't really put my finger on why I didn't like it as well. There was just something about it. It wasn't one of those books that jumped out to me, that I couldn't put down.
