This was a highly anticipated book release for me and it definitely lived up to the hype!! Shantee' Parks has given her readers HEAT, drama, tragedy and so much more in this book!! This book ends in a bit of a cliff hanger and all I can say is that Mrs Parks did it PERFECTLY. I cannot wait to find out what happens to Brandon, Zoey, and the rest of the characters from this book!!
This story is nothing short of pure genius. I started reading this book and was MAD when I had to put it down to go about my daily routine. I was hooked and invested in this story from the very first page. The characters are well developed and very well written. I also LOVED how Shantee brought the main characters from her other series into this book as minor characters. It makes me want to grab the Samantha Posey Series and read about them.
I highly recommend that you read this book!! You will not be disappointed. This book has everything that a great book does and will leave you screaming for the next installment! Well Done Mrs. Parks. She is definitely an author to watch out for!!

I decided to give this book a chance although it is not my usual genre I wanted to try something different and I can honestly say was incredibly surprised how much I really loved this book! Zoey and Brandon are the two main characters and they fall madly for one another, but I wondered along the way if Zoeys past would prevent their love from ever making it further then the bedroom. As the story goes on the plot thickens and then we are introduced to the villains one being a girl Brandon hooked up with for a few months having it out for Zoey out of complete jealousy and is intent on destroying her well the book has so many surprises and characters doing things you don't see coming kept me at the edge of my seat the whole way through! The author does an amazing job with the writing and timing of certain events and this book deserves a solid 5 star rating!! Loved it!!!

Omg Shantee Parks has done it again! The first book of a super sexy, adventurous must read. Brandon and Zoey has a chemistry that leaps off the page. I could not put this book down. Shantee touched my heart with the way she handled Zoey's past. Brandon showed how deep has love is by giving her what is needed most. He gave her unconditional true love. Then to find out that Jacob and Samantha are in the book too. That alone caused me to faint. Can't wait until book two.

I'd give this book more stars of it could. Brandon and Zoey had me from the start. I loved them. I loved their chemistry. I was on the edge of my seat treating this book. And then the end ... OHMGEE! Shantee, you did that with this book. I can't wait til book 2 is out!

Chaotic
Okay this is my first time reading anything from this author and I have to say I was not all together impressed.This is a story about two strangers meeting and one has a deep secret.Now I can get with being attracted to someone when you first meet them that's human nature,but this is just plan crazy.Also I just can not like the heroine in this story(Zoey).The writer doesn't make you like her are feel sympathy.This woman has experienced something that would bring most people to there knees,except the writer doesn't make you feel this.There are times when Brandon the hero of this story comes off as juvenile,I mean this is a super rich guy on the edge of becoming a doctor and the writer makes his character seem like some little boy.There are pretty serious steps missing in this story that need to be addressed.This is a serious subject being dealt with and its not being given the proper attention.Also there is just a tad to much sex,at one point it was over kill and not necessary.Sometimes less is more,a little smoke works just as well as fire.This is a story that has the potential to be good only it goes off the rails and never fully recovered.

This is my first book by this author and I read it on Kindle Unlimited. I have the books from first series which I will now need to go back and read.
Well I loved the premises of the story. I wished that the author had explored the very deep themes with more depth. The themes of the step-father grooming Zoey and her mother choosing to disown her could have been looked at developed more deeply. There was too much erotica and not enough dialogue between the couple about their relationship and issues.
I found the story interesting enough to finish it. I hope book 2 will explore the relationship and the issues surrounding more deeply in book 2. There is also an ex from Brandon's past trying to get rid of Zoey.

Brandon was happy with his smash bunnies and didn’t expect to meet his soulmate so soon, but the moment he laid eyes on Zoey, he knew she was special and he had to get to know her. Zoey on the other hand was still recovering from her painful past and didn’t feel like she deserved happiness. Brandon wanted commitment, but Zoey was weary due to the information she received about his past and the major secret she was keeping from him.
However, just as they both opened up to each other and acknowledged their feelings for each other, their lives were thrown into chaos and nearly cost them their happily ever after. Unfortunately, their relationship would be tested again during a near fatal incident, that nearly cost Zoey her life. This was a touching story, that pulled me in from the beginning and had me crossing my fingers and toes, hoping for an outcome that would see them happy together. However, after finished reading this story, I am really looking forward to reading book two.

While many might view the romance between them as sweet, I thought most of this book was cringey. Before even offering marriage, he seems hell-bent on convincing her to have his children. That speech felt so cringey and desperate. When she reveals this big secret (warning : SA), there isn't an in-depth conversation about it. Okay, they hug, and he comforts her quickly. But for something that's been a big barrier in their relationship, there is no serious talk on how horrible her past was and how it currently impacts her. Furthermore, a public proposal for a girl who has a history of running away seems manipulative as well. It seems as if he wasn't giving her a choice to say no. While the MMC appeared to be understanding and patient, he simply felt quite immature for someone who is a billionaire and a doctor. I will certainly not be reading book 2.

This is my review and how I see it. Author Shantee' Parks in her interracial novel Not Giving Up gives us a well-developed story of a man who is looking for his soul mate the kind of love that his parents have and once he finds it he will have to work hard to keep it. One day he meets the woman of his dreams and the road to her heart is not an easy one.
He learns why she does not feel worthy of his love and there are other forces that will try to destroy what he want with his woman.
I was confused at why the author revealed the culprit at the end of book one; however, up until that moment I thought that it was someone else, and then again I should have suspected her too.

Conniving beotch!
I can't wait for Sandy to get her just rewards. I cannot understand how Zoey's mother can support her husband with what he did to her only child. I don't understand the mindset of women like that. Some women just don't get the message.
Zoey and Brandon's love came fast for each other and burned hot and super erotic. They felt an immediate attraction for each other. Zoey tried to fight that attraction because of her preconceived notions that she was not worthy of love. Now that Brandon's plan with her is falling into place, they now have the added challenge of dealing with the fall out from Zoey's accident. I can't wait to read book two.

Love 💕 It
I’m sorry I just reread this story wanted to see the review I left, I’m disappointed in myself because I had not left one. Well I’m glad that I like to reread a good book and this is one of my favorite. Zoey with her bada$$ I love all those women attitude. Strong men with and even strong women, glad that even though her mother didn’t have her bad, her grandmother did. I let my granddaughter know do not be scared to come to me with anything, and if a man said he will hurt me, don’t worry I have enough toys to handle anything that comes my way. I wouldn’t mind a man like Brandon in my life. Great read.

Can I say lit? Imagine a trip to get some ice cream would have landed a hot and heavy love affair with lots a swirl! Brandon & Zoey story is an unfolding of many twists that has placed both of them fighting to stay together. Zoey has some dark secrets and in time she realizes that Brandon’s love is the medicine she needs…
But there are those whose jealousy will go to extremes to stop the progress.
It’s a good page turner. Brandon’s taste for chocolate is very evident and his tongue has enjoyed every moment. Let’s see what the second book unfolds.

The evil that men do!
Zoey as a 13 year old child was groomed for two years by a predator (who claimed the role of loving and caring stepfather) to be the woman in his life even though he was married to her mother.
That's the damaged woman that Brandon (born with a silver spoon and happy family to booth) met and fell in love with. Needless to say, Zoey's traumatized psyche impacted the development of their relationship.
Kudos to the author for confronting the painful and traumatic subject of child abuse. Looking forward to book 2.

I couldn’t put this book down. Brandon and Zoey was like a fairy tale love affair. Had me believing in love again💕💕💕. But every love affair has some haters and that Sandy was so freaking jealous of Zoey but Brandon didn’t need her after he fell in love with Zoey. But Sandy was on some different crap....
I can’t wait to read Book 2 and I hope Zoey doesn’t give up.

The main characters Brandon and Zoey was excellent together the chemistry was on point. I'm very glad that Brandon helped Zoey to talked about what happened to her during her childhood. This novel was written about all of the evildoers of our world with their secret society and how they abuse innocent young children . Excellent series Ms Parks

This was a wonderful book I enjoyed it very much. I love the main characters, Brandon and Zoey. Brandon lives a very carefree life with no worries. Zoey on the other hand has been through some horrific events in her life and she's just trying to make it. Meeting each other changes everything for them and the haters around them.

Intense
Zoey and Brandon have so many obstacles around them to keep them apart. The attraction and kindred spirit bind their love stronger together. So, so good.
