A fascinating story about a disgraceful flight by the Royal family of Portugal and its advanturous yet inevitable decline. Bertita Harding is a wonderful author, whose light quill tickles the very tips of the readers' nerves. Beware this is a vintage book! Some might not handle it. A committed reader, however, will be graced by an elegant and witty writing, a compelling story, which lifts a curtain of time and allows a glimpse into the intimate lives of royalty. The times were such, that the uncompromising history was rapidly turning the pages of the royal heroes' story and in the next chapter, their presence was to be no more. There is a nice collection of Bertita Harding's books, that I am looking forward to reading.
