[mmf, erotic romance, contemporary BDSM]

Kim has a trunkful of emotional baggage, but when she discovers BDSM, it’s like everything suddenly seems clear. She feels blessed that her long-time boyfriend, Cole, is willing to walk that path with her and let her explore what she needs

Cole is definitely no sadist, yet his love for and trust in Kim means he has no problem turning her over to the handsome Dom, Mason. Besides, Mason’s a nice guy, and he’s gay…isn’t he? Doesn’t matter, because Cole enjoys watching Mason play with Kim. Doesn’t hurt that Cole has sexy fantasies of his own about Mason.

Mason recently moved back to Florida and didn’t expect to meet the newbie couple, much less get involved with them. Now he realizes this isn’t just for play, it’s for keeps. Unfortunately, when Mason’s jealous, overzealous ex decides if he can’t have Mason no one can, it means Kim and Cole still might lose the man they’ve both come to love.

Spoiler Ahead This was a really good book and one of my favorite in this series. Kim and Cole have been a couple for two years. Kim was married and her ex husband tore her down and created a rip with her and her parents. When Kim tells Cole that she wants to try BDSM he agrees they meet the members of the Suncoast Society. Mason Lange moved away from Florida for a job in Nebraska where he hooks up with a 23 year old guy Freddie when he moves back to Florida he breaks up with the him Mason is a Dom who missed the lifestyle he was friends with Kade and was there when Ventura first opened and he is glad to be back home. Mason makes friends with the new couple he knows he is gay and a sadist and agrees to help them. Cole realizes that he can't give Kim all that she needs so he ask Mason for help. This was a really good book and another heart breaker by Tymber. Mason's ex Freddie is stalking him he doesn't know when to let go although Mason has told him it was over and that he only wants to be friends. Mason knows that he is attracted to Cole and is surprised when Cole admits that he wants him but not as his sub but as his boyfriend. Freddie upset mason by showing up at his house and tries to kill him by running him over. I really loved how Tilly came to the rescue to help Kim and Cole get through it and how Cole stepped up and faced Mason's parents. This was a really good book with a lot of kinky sex scenes and there was so heart breaking one's as well. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I love reading this series each book can be read as stand alones or in order. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Shadow's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

When Tymber Dalton hits her stride, she can wring your emotions to the point your are ugly crying or laughing out loud. But when she's not on point, her work can be less than spectacular.

Unfortunately, Liability falls into the latter category.

This is the story of a trio of lovers, but reads more like a BDSM how-to book. It felt preachy, and pendantic, and I never quite got into the characters enough to make me feel emotional about them.

Kim and Cole have been a couple for some time, and she wants to explore BDSM. Cole is okay with the idea, but isn't sure about the practicality of it. At their first visit to the local club, they meet Mason, who has recently moved back into town for a new job and to avoid the man he recently broke up with. A gay sadist, he doesn't mind playing with Kim, but his real attraction is to Cole. Cole feels the same about Mason, and they eventually talk about becoming a triad, with Kim calling Mason Master and Cole Sir. They only thing I liked about the entire relationship was when Mason and Cole had an evening alone together, after the hot sex, they both wanted Kim with them to sleep.

But just as they seem to be moving forward in the relationship, Mason's past comes back to haunt him. Can the three find happiness in the face of devastating tragedy?

The characters were well drawn and the story line plausible, it just took way too long for everything to move forward. Can you say s-l-o-w?

Overall, it was worth the read, but don't expect fireworks or emotional attachment to this book.

The Romance Review

Threesomes sometimes spring up organically, or is that orgasmic-ly?

Kim and Cole are a comfortable pair. Kim is out from under a bad marriage and is not looking to marry again. With Cole, she feels cherished and safe. She also wants to explore a little more into kink. Afraid of being chastised or ridiculed, she hesitantly broaches kink with Cole. To her surprise, he is tentative and willing to learn about it. Or at least what she likes about it.

Off to a munch, the two adorable newbies find themselves amongst the kinky "Suncoast group". They are quickly taken under more experienced kinksters and introduced into the fun of kink. One person who takes a special interest in them is Mason. Mason is finally back from his long hiatus outside of Florida and now he is back to stay.

The characters in this story are so realistic. Kim and Cole represent a fair share of interested newbies trying to learn the ropes. Cole's concerns about hurting a woman or hitting a woman is pretty common. Fortunately for him, he is able to understand Kim's needs and he finds a partner to share in this responsibility. Watching the beginning of a play relationship without sex is so good. Ms. Dalton does a great job showing how kink does not need to involve sex. And how lovers can have a different kink partner and it can still be without sexual relations. Now, as anyone who plays know, the intimacy of a scene can grow and sooner or later, sexual relations will need to be discussed. Fortunately for Kim, Cole and Mason, they openly communicate and find they have more interests aligning than not. The surprise twist for Kim and Mason is Cole's bisexual preference.

The relationship in this story between the three is what really pulls a reader in. Ms. Dalton creates likeable characters. They have feelings and motivations which make sense to the average person. They have similar fears and desires as the average person. This helps demystify kink and make it easier to understand for readers.

The conflict to this story is trademark Ms. Dalton. Why does there always have to be a cray-cray ex-lover? I am with Tilly here-- why do we seem to end up in the hospital more often than not? Do they have a frequent patient card this group can get stamped? And if they fill up the card with stamps, what do they get? Maybe pervert-able medical supplies and equipment? There is a thought. I digress.

The conflict is easy to spot from miles away. It is with dread as the big moment gets closer and closer. I am not shocked what happens to Mason. I do like that this major issue did not happen at the end of the book. Ms. Dalton at least gives us more story and how the triad comes together instead of splinters apart. This happily ever after is hard won for the three. Whilst this can be read as a standalone, it is better to read this series in order. Recommended for kinky romance readers who enjoy mmf ménage.

Awesome interactions with an unusual dynamic and hot action in a beautiful, caring love story!
These characters are so real I wish I could be friends with them too!! There's nothing too polished or unrealistic about these people, they're real people you feel like you could know (or wish you did!)!
I love Tymber Dalton's Suncoast Society series and this novel is proof that they are just as good at the #33 book as they were when I read that amazing #1 book!! I'm hooked and still reading more....
I love following the dynamics and evolution of the newly formed relationships and the developing bond(s) between characters.
It's even better that, when one of these novels in the series finishes, these same characters are rarely farewelled...they'll likely turn up elsewhere in the series when I keep reading the next...WINNER!

I think Liability was a good addition to the series. Th He author does a good job on this poly relationship. It's difficult as it seems like there are 2 people who are closer and one is on the fringe. I felt this slightly as Mason and Cole became closer and they were HOT together. They didn't exclude Kim but I didn't get a connection like I did with Mase and Cole.
The overall storyline was interesting and kept me turning the page.

You can't go wrong with...

A fantastic read like this! I highly recommend it! It's about love, acceptance, patients, perseverance, and trust. Its about life, friends, jobs, and the normally abnormal. Dalton had perfected the art of pulling at your heart strings and she certainly does not disappoint here. Don't pass up this opportunity to be sucked into this fantastic world!

Gotta find the best cookies without wearing orange. New poly relationship formed and all is good. I think this is the first time anyone had an engagement ring as a day collar yet (cool idea) . Glad to see Freddie got what was coming to him, sorry Mase has to go thru all that shit tho. Mase's parents crack me up, bet it's fun to have everyone together now, oh the laughs.

Great stories, Tymber.

So I'm rereading this book for the second time and as a result of some things that jumped out of me this time I'm lowering my rating from 5 stars to 3. I feel like that maybe I was just so excited about finally having a new Suncoast Society books that I sort of read it through rose-colored glasses the first time. In this book the beginning is very good and so is the end, but the middle is very much meh for me.

Basically everything after Cole and Mason start having sex until Mason wakes up from the coma just didn't do it for me and I think I know why. I love MMF books, but I prefer it when the triad either starts as three single people or a MM couple finds a woman they're both interested in. When a MF couple brings in another guy, particularly a "homoflexible" guy, I feel like the girl always ends up being pushed to the side. The guys would be fine if it were just the two them but they're too nice to just toss her aside. It seems like in many parts of this book that the two guys, particularly Cole, didn't really care about Kim which is ironic considering they were the ones dating at the beginning of the book.

While Mason was in the ICU in the medically induced coma I wanted to smack Cole so many times. Making Kim go sleep alone while he stayed at the hospital especially the night they were waking Mason up was so not cool. And when Mason wakes up and tells him to call Kim Cole tries to argue with him because he wants to be alone with Mason(I didn't buy the "she needs sleep" BS and luckily neither did Mason). Neither was him making her go to work but it was fine for him to take off to sit at the hospital all. And he made hardly any effort to serve as her Top/Dom in Mason's absence except when it was convenient from him(ie the aforementioned orders to go home and sleep). I get that's not really his thing, but he should have at least tried for her sake. The minute Mason's eyes are open he immediately does his best to be Master in whatever way he can for Kim so Cole really has no excuse.

And while she's the one that suggested it I was really not happy with Cole being the one to marry Mason. She needed that security more than he did and the way he just agreed without even a token argument or anything rubbed me the wrong way. And while Kim had some understandable hang-ups about marriage she shouldn't just run away from them forever, she should have worked through them.

Yes this is a other triad but Tymber has managed to make each unique in their own way. An established couple decide to explore but only one is really interested. At the munch they start talking to a Dom who has moved back from our of state. They take their time so as not to explode what the couple has. Once again we see that the Suncoast Society is a family that pulls together when crazy happens and does what is necessary to help.

Kim and Cole are a great couple who are trying to figure out what they need. Mason starts out with guiding them but soon becomes a part of their lives and their love. We get to see each of them learn about themselves as well as each other. Then we get to see them them fact the worst and the individual strengths as well as the depth of their love becomes clear.

Cole doing what Kim needs shows true love. Accepting it couldn't be easy. Letting Mason do what he can't took guts.
The story flowed the online submit could when you have an open heart and mind along with a willingness to accept. My heart broke for them all when tragedy struck and then rejoiced again.

Loved it

Just keeps getting better, I love this series. Mason returns to Sarasota and helps Cole and Kim find the balance in the kink side of their relationship, one thing leads to another and all three are in a relationship. A guy from Mason's past shows up and hurts him, can their relationship survive the aftermath?
