If you are looking for a quick read with a sexy race car driver and his stepsister this is a great book to pick up. It was years ago that Axel and Kayla were living together in a mansion because their parents were married for a short time. During this time the marriage fell off the tracks and during some of their parent’s loud arguments Kayla found solace by going to Axel’s bedroom to help block out all of the yelling. Axel didn’t realize or see how infatuated Kayla was with him at that time.
Now fast forward 10 years and Axel is a famous playboy race car driver and Kayla works for a magazine and has come into her own. She’s not the little teen girl who crushed on Axel. She has grown into a beautiful woman who has an opportunity to cover a story on the infamous Axel. Kayla figures that Axel may not want to see her though so she assumes her friend’s name figuring that after all these years and all the changes that Kayla has went through he would never recognize her as being that little girl from all those years ago.
Does Axel figure out who Kayla is and even if he does is Kayla someone that Axel would want to take a little walk down memory lane with? Is Kayla now woman enough to turn playboy Axel into a one woman man or does Axel not look at Kayla the same way? These are just some of the things you will have answered when you read this book. Be ready for some intense feelings between these two and see if they can actually find what their parents never did together.

Great 2nd love story that has race car themes in the story. I enjoyed reading about Axel & Kayla. Their parents got married when they were in teens and their parents’ marriage was brief but full of turmoil. Kayla was in love with Axel then but he didn’t see her..then their parent divorced. Fast forward 10 years and Kayla is working in a magazine and Axel is a upcoming Indy driver. Kayla comes back into Axel’s world thru an interview. What an interview- there is passion and angst. Poor Kayla, that unrequited love for Axel is slowly killing her but Axel looks to be waking up to seeing there is more t Kayla
There is a great flow to this story from the opening page to the end of the story. I enjoyed reading about Axel’s story along with Kayla’s and the supporting characters – everything had a place and nothing was disruptive. Oh and the sex scenes were sooo hot. This ex step brother story is wonderful. I would really call this a 2nd chance love story –Axel is one hot dominant man and Kayla is a sassy , sensitive lady. I cannot wait to see what the author has next.

There is a great flow to this story from the opening page to the end of the story. Racing and love make a thrilling combination. This new novella by stepbrother romance specialist Stephanie Brother is the perfect morsel when you're in the mood for a second chance at love.
Axel and Kayla were family for a year, then lost contact as he became a new star in the indie-cars racing world and she ended up working for a magazine. An interview brings them together, and memories and lust spark up an unstoppable heat between them.
I enjoyed that little ruse that allows them to cross paths again. In particular, I liked that their emotions were genuine and strong, inspiring them to reassess their lives and how they had conducted themselves up till then. There's some tension, some thrills because of Axel's career as a racing car driver and other issues, and a beautiful encounter when they finally give in to their feelings and share a scene of passion. Very nicely written and it left me a sweet, loving taste.

Nose fetish?
Ok I knew going into this it was going to be a short, quick read. What I didn't know, was that this author must have had a nose fetish! Never read a book where someone was obsessed with someone's nose. Guess I can mark it off my list that I didn't know I had. I wouldn't recommend this. Not because of the nose thing, but because she sprouted about how he was immature when she herself was too. Was really a waste. There's backstory yes, but not much of anything else. On to better books, hopefully!

This is definitely going to rank up there with some of my favorites by Stephanie Brother. Who am I kidding though, I love all her books. I read them on KU and then buy them because I just love them and want to reread them whenever and wherever. Axel is going to rank up there close with the McGregor brothers. A definite keeper!!!

I Wish it was Longer
I really liked this story, and I wasn't quite ready to part with Axel and Kayla. That's pretty much my only complaint here, wishing it were longer. I also wish Stephanie wrote more one-on-one romance novels because they're infinitely better than her multiple partner books by leaps and bounds!

This read is another cute novella. I like reading the shorts, especially when it involves an alpha that is put in his place a bit. Perfect amount of smart mouth and quips mixed with some hotness.

Short and sexy, Speed is full of romance and delivers on all that built-up heat once they recognize their love. Axel didn't know what he needed until Kayla came back into his life.
Kayla has been fantasizing about Axel ever since their parents were briefly married. After years of obsessing over Axel, she wants to finally move on with her life. She volunteers to interview her former stepbrother, who is now an Indy car driver, with the idea that facing him will set her free. Fortunately for both of them, it doesn’t work out that way.
At the beginning, Kayla is a bit of a witch to Axel and for no reason other than her own jealousy and to cover up pain and insecurity. Axel, on the other hand, is thoughtful and not an egotistical a$$. He’s still hot and a ladies man, but he doesn’t cross over to a jerk.
This short sensual romance wraps up with a satisfying epilogue. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

As always a brilliant interpretation of the taboo romance by Stephanie. I love her characters, the plots, the angst & the passion. As a reader I can't wait to see what the next page has to offer. This story is of reporter Kayla and IndyCar driver Axel. A definite romance fix

It was wonderful to see an accurate depiction of the repercussions of relationships around us. This is a prime example of becoming a product of our environment. Avoiding what we have seen is not always a positive lesson.

I really loved reading this book! Axel and Kayla are awesome characters! This book has suspense, action, lust and love. I will definitely be reading more books written by Stephanie Brother.
