INTRODUCING THE SECOND EDITION OF MINDSTAR 2018. This revision includes a new chapter which directly addresses the transitional experience of physical “death” itself. The primise of the entire book continues to be that this is a consciousness-evolutionary, not a terminal event. Yet because of popular ignorance and fear surrounding it, I felt that MindStar should discuss it more directly.
MindStar explores the mystery of the human what it is, how it can be detected, and how it can be creatively and productively activated. Included is a historical survey of misapprehensions, misuses, and outright rejections of this central, crucial metaphysical core of human existence.
The soul, or "MindStar" as redefined herein, is the key to individual conscious immortality, which is addressed and prescribed clearly and coherently.
My companion books MindWar and FindFar detail the “thought architecture” which is subject to natural and artificial subconscious/pattern and conscious/algorithmic thinking. Specifically excluded was conceptual thought, which, being metaphysical, is not subject to such manipulation. This thought comprises the emanations of the MindStar, which this book now examines.
The result of an incarnated lifetime of experience, research, and exploration by the author, MindStar speaks directly and candidly to the questions which have previously been evaded, misarticulated, or condemned as "sacrilegious" or "unscientific" by those fearful of what they might find within themselves.
In short, MindStar is, finally, an "owner's manual" for the ultimate, omnipotent, and immortal you.
A part interesting work from Aquino. As always, Aquino's work linking psychology with the pursuit of continual Becoming is exemplary. The second half of the work strays somewhat however and feels as if it was appended to an excellent shorter work. There is no need for such given the valued insight which is presented within the first part of the work.
A good text for the individual who is beyond the basics of philosophy and psychology and is perhaps more familiar with the work of Aquino and/or the Temple of Set. If you are of a left-hand path nature, then there is an interest here. If you are interested in ontological truths, then there are elements of interest for you here also.
It is a good work, yet not one to rush out and grab.
One of 3 books written by Aquino as guides, of sorts, for traversing this mortal coil and connecting it with one's own immortal subjective universe. This is a deep dive into separating the 'meat machine' of our physical bodies from the mindstar (aka 'soul') within each of us. Of course this work is from the founder of the Temple of Set, so isolate consciousness (Gift of Set) is a theme woven throughout the work. Aquino's challenge here is that once one is aware of the mindstar, then that awareness brings with it the responsibility of self to suss out what it is that makes us unique - what special thing do each of us have to offer? What might our own 'grail quest' look like?
Fascinating read, highly recommended for explorers of the universe{s}.
This is an incredible book if one is interested in ideas of an afterlife (and arguments beyond the traditonal, Aquino makes the case that gods are neteru, a facet of nature, and argues that naturalism itself can be an argument for the supernatural: fascinating take), becoming in a spiritual sense, an approach to the religious philosophies of the Egyptians applied to a modern audience, or how said philosophies can be paired with the history of philosophy from Plato to the modern period. Explains the LHP/RHP distinction very well and much more. If this book seems interesting to you, read it. There's so much in this text, it's hard to say what you'll resonate with the most.
The author begins the introduction of the book, with an explanation that MindStar is a linguistic initiation to the mysterious Egyptian ancient deity “ Set “.
Conceptual thought is highlighted as a key to isolate self-consciousness and immortality. To be able to activate the philosophical eightfold MindStar.
Basically I think those who have not read MindStar and could very well be indoctrinated proponents of monotheistic religious organisations, affiliated with Judeo-Christian and Islamic symbols. That they are very capable of drawing the false conclusion that MindStar is a “ Satanic book “ connected to the demiurge/devil.
The book MindStar is a thrilling extensive experience to read. A one in a lifetime opportunity to educate oneself about ancient Egyptian societal structure and ancient Egyptian magical practices.
Philosophical concepts like utilitarianism is neatly explained. And after having read Dr.Aquino’s explanation of utilitarianism. I subjectively perceive advocates of utilitarianism to be capable of dangerous distorted perceptions about how basic human rights can be formally violated in old ancient wars, by an utilitarian viewpoint.
The Aeon of Set is described in the book, and the history of the middle age in the western world.
A major historical front figure like Thomas Aquinas and his influence on western philosophy and the development of western civilisation is mentioned in the great work of art, the book MindStar which I truly loved to read.
Western civilisation of the occident is fundamentally based on historical Greek and Roman societal principles.
Western historical ethics about the dignity of human life and animal rights, is separate from especially historical Israelite Hebrew orthodox religious practices.
I recommend keeping a physical copy of the book MindStar in your bookshelf for years to come in the conceptual future.
To go back and to spontaneously open the book, and to randomly out of curiosity read various chapters.
