My daughter enjoyed it. But I thought the story line was rather lame.

This was not a good book. It is easy for kids to read but the story line doesn't make sense.

Cute book. I liked how even though it had a simple storyline, it still included a plot.

If anyone had told me back in the sixties that there would be Barbie books that did not feature the typical teen-age concerns such as fashion and boy-friends I (and my friends) would not have believed them. But such is the case here. Barbie is an operative for some sort of security outfit. In all honesty this was not a bad book as these things go. Ken is not around and there is no hint of romance here. It is all business as Barbie has a case to solve with the aid of a couple of her friends. It is an early reader and is sure to please the little girl in your life. Barbie is no James Bond, but then she doesn't have to be to make this book a success. One word of warning. This book comes with a lot of stickers at the back and if you have girls like mine you may want to keep an eye on what they are doing with them Recommended.

This follows the story of the Spy Squad movie. As a level 2 step into reading book, it is made up of short, simple sentences to tell the story. It skips a lot of details and some events as otherwise the book would be too long for a learning book, let alone the shorter attention span of small children. Still, it's a cute adaptation that any Barbie fan is likely to get a kick out of.
