London, 1888 – Jack the Ripper

Having loved and lost his soul mate three times, Broderick MacDougal refuses to put his beloved Blossom in danger once more by barging into her life. As a vampire with a dark past and countless enemies, he brings too many risks with him to selfishly claim her as his own. But keeping her at a distance, while he guarantees she lives a “normal” life, proves to be much more difficult than he anticipated–and so is encouraging her to find refuge in the arms of the another man. As much as Broderick hates to admit it, Theodore Coleman may be Belle’s only safe haven.

Christabelle Williams has fought for her financial independence since the cradle, and nothing–not living on the poverty-stricken streets of Whitechapel, not even the handsome and rich Theodore Coleman–will make her turn to anyone for help. But Belle is attacked and her injuries jeopardize her living as a laundress. Finally accepting Theo’s marriage proposal wouldn’t be so bad…if she wasn’t haunted by the sinful encounters with a passionate vampire in her dreams.

Jack the Ripper starts prowling the streets where Christabelle lives…and he is no mere mortal. Broderick must act quickly to get Belle out of harm’s way before the Whitechapel murderer learns what she means to Broderick and use her to extract payment for an old debt.

What is the truth behind the Whitechapel serial killer, Jack the Ripper? The end of the nineteenth century is filled with the terrors of a sinister murderer how never was found. Could he be more than a twisted mortal? Who is he and what connection does he have to Broderick, the vampire with the dark and deadly past?

Imagine an eternity of loving your soulmate, centuries upon centuries of sharing, side by side. For Broderick MacDougal that is nothing but a dream, a nightmare actually, because every time he and his soulmate find each other again, she suffers, horribly and this time he will deny himself to keep her safe. In her current re-incarnation, Davina is the woman Christabelle, a woman struggling to be independent and self –sufficient until the attack. It is then that a wealthy young man declares his love for her and offers his name and protection. Can Broderick stand by and watch his Davina live and love another man or will their souls call to one another again through the veil of time and their hearts?

There is more going on than an eternity of broken dreams, as another ancient vampire struggles with his own demons and the weight of ancient prophecies hang over them all.

Leave it to the amazing talent of author Arial Burnz to take passion to the next level with her words as she gives life to her characters, their existence and the dangerous world they live in. No, you will not find page after page of her signature sizzling scenes, but you will find a depth of detail that is far more fulfilling and tantalizing because of their infrequency. Feel the passion, the love and the heat as two soulmates once again tempt the hands of Fate for a love that will never die. Understand the power of a vampire’s love and their will to protect that love at any cost.

I received an ARC edition from Arial Burnz in exchange for my honest review.

Well this author never disappoints me! I have to say I'm in love with Broderick and the way Ms. Burns weaves his story you can't not be in love with him and his Blossom. This story brings some things to the front and there will be answers to questions from books before. Many surprises and I have to say a few laughs too! I really enjoyed this book as the other's before . Ms. Burnz has a way with those words. And you finally find out who Jack the Ripper was! No more spoilers! Read this story and enjoy it cause it's AWESOME!!

I highly recommend this book. I love the romance and the characters. I can't get enough of this series. When I am done reading I always wish for the next book. When you get this book you will be swept away by vampires, witches, wolf shifters and of course humans in a story that will leave you speechless. Title: Midnight Savior
Author: Arial Burnz
Genre: Adult Historical, Paranormal Romance
Format: Ebook
Pages: 348
Rating: 5
Heat: 5

Thoughts: Ooooh, this was good!! I loved how Jack the Ripper was part of this one, and the theory as to why he did what he did. But that was such a small part of story. Christabelle was awesome; I loved her attitude and strength. It’s like through each reincarnation she becomes more badass. I can’t wait to read the next one, especially with the little revelation at the end with their son. I won’t give anything away but I wonder if it’s part of the prophecy. We know as much as the characters about the prophecy, which isn’t much. It’s close to being fulfilled and as much as I want to find out I don’t want the series to end. Well, part of me wants it to end, just because Rick has had to go through the heartache of losing his mortal love over and over. No one should have to endure that but I’ll miss the characters, they are like friends.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

This book was another great story. Broderick has a hard time of it though this time. This is the 5th book in the series and I highly recommend reading them in order. We follow Broderick, who is immortal, and his soul mate, who is not, through their lifetimes together as they fulfill a prophecy. Broderick has lost his soul mate 3 times and so does not want to bring her into danger in this life. He tries to set her up with a good life but stay out of it and not truly unite in this lifetime. He has a hard time doing so though. Their are a lot of circumstances going on that keeps him from being able to do this. Belle is an independent women that has hard a hard life growing up. It has made her not want to be dependent on anyone. The story is extremely well done and draws you in from the beginning of the book to the last page. I wasn't ready for the story to be over and I love the twist that we get. I can't wait to see where that goes! The sex is explicit but not very frequent...Broderick does try and avoid Belle for quite a bit of the story. There is also a lot of action to keep you wondering how everything is going to turn out, in this book and in the next.
Belle and Broderick are amazing characters and so are all the secondary ones as well. I love getting to see them again and getting to see where their journey takes them. The prophecy moves further along and brings more characters to the forefront of the story in this book. We are very close to the end, one more book left, and I'm very excited to see where this story goes and how everything comes together. I love the redemption for the characters throughout the series and am excited to see the ones that are still on that journey and how that will turn out. I have become addicted to these characters! I love Broderick and his soul mate in every life they have together. Arial has done a phenomenal job of bringing these characters to life and building an attachment to them for the reader.

Broderick MacDougal has found and lost his love so many times that he has decided that this time he is going to let her live her human life without him. Will the fates, and the prophetess, let him do what he think is right? This story is full of action and adventure for both Broderick and Crisabelle. Set in the late 1880's during Jack the Ripper's reign of terror Ariel spins a story that is so enthralling as to make one wonder if it could really be the truth behind the terror. I have to say that this is a must read for anyone who has read any of the other Bonded by Blood Chronicles... and if you haven't read them yet... I recommend that you do!!

** ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review. **

This release reminded me of the emotion and romance from the first two books of the series. Broderick continues to enchant and I'm utterly under his spell. The incarnation of Davina this time was yet again a highly spirited and wonderfully independent female - traits I'm glad to see continuing to be utilized. The prophecy, and all the players introduced along the way, not only received their due but got expanded scenes. And that enhanced the color of the story. I even empathized with Malloren in this installment. And I never thought I'd say that! And Angus...he is becoming the man I always believed him to be.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Book 5 is set during the time of Jack the Ripper. Broderick runs into old friends and nemesis and even meets new ones. The author did extensive research and stayed as close to historically accurate as possible while twisting history to fit the tale. There are so many twists and turns and I absolutely loved the ending! I simply cannot wait for book 6. I don;t know how the author does it, but this series just gets better and better!!!

I think this has got to be the best book of the whole series and I have read and reviewed them all. Rick fights the pull to Christabelle his beloved reincarnated but when the threat of Jack the Ripper hits too close to her, Broderick knows what he has to do.

I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This is book 5 of the series Bonded By Blood Vampire Chronicles by the author.

Loved the spin on Jack the Ripper.

Didn't love the spin on Davina's soul choosing this life or why.

Story was a bit segmented, and abruptly so. Still, nice to finally meet a spirit witch.

Ariel, thanks for writing this series, looking forward to the next one.

The story of Rick & Blossom just keeps getting better. With each book you've been pulled into a love story like no other, and this book does not disappoint. The author makes the era come alive with her weaving of their tale. Suspenseful and poignant the story comes alive as new and old characters fill the pages. I've read all the stories to now and can truthfully say I can hardly wait until the next one releases, especially after this ones ending, it will leave you guessing what's next. Great Job, Arial!

I am hooked on this series. Broderick has lost his love so many times (he is immortal) that during this life (she is not immortal) he is going to let her go. But can he? I love it when a book can actually wind its way through history. This story is fast-paced with lots of drama and suspense. The story really draws you in with amazing characters and a great story. I loved it.

Part 5

They are back again with new adventures and people from his past out to get them, befriend, and help. This time around they are in London and she's on the wrong side of town and society. There's a killer out there that we all have heard of - Jack the Ripper!
Will they be able to move forward and finish the prophecy or will it end before they can

This is the fifth book in the Bonded by Blood series and I loved it!
Broderick has followed the call of Davina’s soul to London in 1888 and though he desperately wants to reclaim his Blossom, his soul mate, he’s decided to give her up so she could live a long, normal life. Broderick and Davina (and all her reincarnations) are destined to fulfill a six-stage prophecy that will lead to redemption for all vampires and Davina, as her new incarnation of Christabelle, must die once more.
In all her other lives, Christabelle has lived in health and happiness with a family who loved her. Now, she’s poverty-stricken but determined to survive with her pride intact. She only has two friends to call on: an elderly woman, Darla, and a wealthy suitor, Theodore, who seems to love her.
My favorite moments in the book were all the scenes where Christabelle kept stealing Broderick’s pocket watch. So sweet and romantic. I laughed out loud when he wiped her memories the second time. I definitely cried over Broderick’s heartache in having to give up his Blossom to Theodore and over the pain Christabelle suffered throughout her life which was so common for so many people back then and still is today.
Broderick and Christabelle are apart for a good chunk of the book so there’s a lot going on with the supporting cast.
Peter and Cordelia are married and they run the London offices of the MacDougal Shipping Company. We met Peter in the last book (he’s a sun wolf/vamsyrian hybrid) and we met Cordelia in the first book (she’s a moon wolf/vamsyrian hybrid). They’re roped into helping Angus and Kahli, and I’m surprised by the outcome. There are a few unanswered questions about this subplot but I’m sure it will play a role in the next book in the series. (I just hope Broderick’s ship and portraits stay safe!)
Angus (Broderick’s vamsyrian brother/enemy) is so distraught over killing his and Broderick’s brothers that he’s become addicted to drugs to drown the pain. Kahli (Mabel the Spirit Witch from book 4) has her own demons and she’s helping Angus overcome his. Of all the side characters, their relationship intrigued me the most.
Malloren (a vamsyrian prophetess) is determined to fulfill the prophecy at any cost as usual and Prince Jesse Amir (the second oldest vampire in existence) seems willing to help her.
There’s a big twist at the end which makes me think the upcoming book 6 may not be the last one in the series. I don’t want to give away the surprise but Broderick’s close-knit circle of friends is growing bigger. It’s going to be so strange to see Broderick in the twenty-first century driving a car. (It was strange enough to see him in a carriage in this book with a ton of journalists chasing after him since he’s a rich businessman. He’s certainly come a long way from being a Gypsy-turned-Scottish laird.) The sneak preview for book 6 will leave your mouth dropped open. I sooooo want to know more.
This book is well-edited and the writing flowed. I can’t wait for 2017 to read the next book!!

Midnight Savior (Bonded By Blood Vampire Chronicles #5) by Arial Burnz
***I received a copy from author for an honest review***

London 1888 the time of Jack the Ripper

We find Brodrick has come to London, while docked he has the dream of his Blossom. This is the third incarnation of his Davina. This only happens when she has reached her 21st birthday.

Rick has decided that this time he will not seek her out and make her his wife as he can not bear to see her die.

Christabelle (Belle) Williams lives in Whitechaple. She is very independent, works as a laundress. Belle is determined not to be "taken care of" by anyone. This includes Mr. Theodore (Theo) Coleman who wishes to marry her.

Belle has been attacked and while in the hospital starts having dreams of a Scottish Vampire. She has fallen in love with him even tho she knows he is just a dream.

Kahli a vampire air elemental (who was fostered by Marie Laveau and whose spirit she has kept close to her) resided in a Blood Palace where opuim runs free.

Prince Jesse has dumped Angus there and Kahli has taken care of him and fallen in love with him.

Angus Campbell is in an opeum haze. He drinks the blood of those who have used it so he can forget the past.

Malloren (Mal) Rune is a Prophetess, She has visions of a prophecy that pertain to the brothers Brodrick and Angus. There are many factors to this. Including the incarnations of Davina and Prince Jesse killing his father.

Mal gets her visions when needed. She is also not happy with Rick wanting to leave Belle.

Rick has had the dream that Belle has been attacked. He tries to locate her so he can provide for her without her knowing. Even if that means her marring Theo.

Theo has said Belle was going to marry him which doe snot sit well with her. Theo wants her out of Whitechaple for her safety with the murders.

When Rick reads in the paper of the latest woman murdered and the way it was done he knows who did it.

Laurent Bellamy is one of the Ancient Vamsyrian's. He also has a history with Rick.

**I have just hit a few of the points hopefully without giving to much away. If you enjoyed the other Bonded by Blood stories you will this one too. I enjoyed seeing characters from previous books and getting more information into them. I can not wait to see what happens next in this series.**

Midnight Savior continues Broderick and Davina's story - this time they are in London, in the East End, and Jack the Ripper is about to make an appearance. Arial Burnz has put her usual twist on historical times which just makes it a more intriguing and fascinating story.

Christabelle (Davina) is attacked right at the beginning of the book, and you come to realise just how hard this life is (and has been) for her. You would think that she would jump at the chance of marrying above her class, but something is holding her back. The dreams about a certain Scotsman don't help her either. Theo is a nice character but you already know that he doesn't stand a chance, no matter what Broderick might be saying.

With the prophecy in full swing, Malloren "helping" where she can, Prince Amir and now a spirit witch in the mix, this story does get a bit confusing at times as there are a lot of players, all with different agendas.

Even saying that I can still honestly say that this book was very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to distract the reading flow. This is an excellent addition to the series and I look forward to reading more about Broderick and Davina in the next of the series.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Midnight Savior was a fantastic novel! Brodrick is determined to let his soulmate, Davina, have a normal life, a husband, children, whatever she desires in this lifetime. As a Vampire he has survived many of her lifetimes never having turned her, her lives always having ended in tragedy due to his past. This time he tells himself he will just see to her safety and make sure she is financially set, anonymously of course, because around her 23rd birthday she begins to dream of him, and she recognizes him. Davina, now known as Christabelle, is a laundress in the time period of Jack the Ripper in London. Belle lives in the East End a poverty stricken area of London, she been on her own and lived mainly on the streets since her mother died when she was 12. She lives in an area called Stepney with an older, dear friend Darla and is determined to work hard and get them out of the slums before they are both killed. These two are destined to be together as the prophecy demands and the prophetess Malloren will make no sure nothing does! I'm ready for the next on Ariel! This is a wonderful entertaining and interesting book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story is set in London 1888 and covers Broderick MacDougal who has lost his beloved Blossom 3 times already and is determined to see her in another man's (Theodore Coleman) arms. Blossom has been reborn as Christabelle Williams, who is making her living as a laundress and due to unforeseen circumstances her livelihood is in jeopardy. What you will find in this story is, drama, suspense, intrigue, dreams, attacked & raped, a proposal, brother & sister, magic, drugs, a spirit witch, vampires, murder of prostitutes, Jack the Ripper, werewolves, ancients, pregnant, revenge, ships, seers, a fight between Laurent & Broderick and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written and the scenes description is excellent. The various characters have well developed personalities with feelings of love, revenge, hated and desires. I look forward to the next book in this series and would recommend this book to people who like to read a well written vampire book.

Arial Burnz gets back to the fire of the 1st two books in the Bonded by Blood series in this fifth book.!! Rick once again finds his love instilled within Belle, but this time his plan wasn't to mate her, it was to push her toward another man who could, he thought, protect her. That wasn't quite the case as she is attacked and the Killer of the other women is coming back for another try, especially if he finds out she is Davina reincarnated, and special to Broderick. Will Rick be able to save his love, and out with the Prophecy, or will Belle end up in the arms of another man ? Read this 5th exciting, sexy , hot paranormal romance . I recommend this book to any lover of PNR and Vampires !! I recieved a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

The continuation of two Vampires lives. One bent on revenge and the other to try and reason with him. Can he avoid her this time and make sure she has a long and happy life or will history repeat itself and he'll lose her once again. The best option is to give her up, but will the fates take it in their hands and make him live with a decision he wants to fight?
So much going on, life, death, alliances and a new comer. But things are never as they seem, are they? Given a free copy for honest review. This series is proving to be very interesting indeed. You just never know who'd going to pop in. Well written, complex situations. A series you won't soon forget.

This was a well-written, interesting, complex book. Broderick is a vampire whose soul mate has been reborn several times. This time she is Christabelle, living in the East End of London. Broderick thinks it might be safer for Christabelle if he stays away from her and lets her live a safe, normal life with her wealthy suitor, Theodore. But Jack the Ripper is killing women in London, and he may be very interested to learn why Broderick is there... This is the fifth book in a series, with one more to follow. I couldn't [put this book down and can't wait to read the next and final one. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Good read

This was a good book in the series but it was too much like the last one and all the other ones. It did have a promising lead into the next one though. Hopefully the next book in the series will produce the conclusion because the series really shouldn't continue.
